The majority voted no because the people that elect them do not agree with this ridiculous plan. A $700 billion bailout does NOT help the American people, it will harm us and, more than likely, continue the economy's further decline when the value of the dollar sinks because of it.

Anyone who's actually done research knows that this mess started at the end of the Clinton administration. Granted, Bush did nothing to help the situation.
