This is the first video I saw of RoTMG, so I wnet and tried and realised it wasn't exactly that easy to get as good gear as you have, anyway I tried to fight oryx at Like, level 16, I still got a blue bag thingy

@gnta44 After all the quests in the realms are killed (ents/liches/ghost kings/cyclops gods/red demons/phoenix lords/oasis giants/cube gods/skull shrines/pentaracts/sphinxes/he­rmit gods/and lord of the lost lands) then oryx teleports you to the castle. The ground shakes--you'll notice it. If you aren't level 20, you should nexus, as the castle is quite hard. If you know what you are doing, you can cause it to happen, but it takes some work...

@MrLionFri Not really. I play on a 3 year old laptop. Flash is the realm bottleneck, which is based on CPU speed. I still turn the flash quality down to low, all the time, and disable all the graphics effects I can.

@Inflamesaddict3d It recently changed--it used to be a race to the bag to get the public loot. Now, if you've done enough damage to Oryx to qualify, you may get a special bluish bag, which only you can see.

i fought oryx once a tip to anyone who plans to fight oryx if are a short ranger dont go into battle and oryx is a scaredy cat he has no long range attacks and his red demon soldiers are as strong as a sprite god

@eatright4 Join us on irc sometime (search the forums for how) and request gear. As you can see, I leave lots of stuff on the ground, as I just can't carry it. Or, come soloing with me, and you can have whatever I don't need! Just hang back. Oh, and you should be level 20, before we start.

@lilseto Thanks, I think. Most of the frame rate problems are due to recording while playing...but I was also on the cluster furthest from me...so that causes some skips. (It really is much more smooth than this video shows.)

And yes, you do have a god-like connection...good work!

I really just wanted to post this to emphasize how speed is the crucial stat...in the right hands.

@lilseto Sure. Thanks. Yeah, my secret is playing when Western European Summer Time is about 5 am or 6 am...the servers are fairly quiet, and the lag spikes are manageable. I was quite tired in this one, and made several silly mistakes...oh well, at least I survived. I'm max def now, and almost att on this character.
