День Победы (Den' Pob'edi) is Russian for Victory day and is celebrated on the ninth of May. This patriotic Russian song was written in WWII and is about a woman named Kat'usha. The man she loves is fighting in WWII.

We are well aware of they quagmire in our governments, but as democratic countries we have no options other than to elect the person(s) we feel have our best interest at heart. And to be honest I prefer it to a dictatorship where one person practically has control for a lifetime and then hands it over to a family member!
