  • How sad to see/hear a CHILD give a 'speech' about something she may come face to face with one day. NEVER say never my dear! Do you know how many women there are out there who said "I will never/could never" who are religious, believe in God and worry they will 'burn in hell' who actually have had an abortion? Let me guess, they are 'evil'? How ignorant and self righteous to assume you all have the answers. It is up to the individual. You are not God, leave the judging to Him.

  • I stopped listening at "home schooled"

  • @bobplatypus Stopped at "home schooled"? Why? You should meet my 2 "home schooled" kids....both scored higher on SAT's than most kids would ever hope to, and have earned academic scholarships at "Ivy League" schools, which both are currently attending, and guess what? They're kicking ass!

  • @mauimom67 That was a joke you didn't understand

Children seem commonly home schooled so as to incorporate a view point, be it political or what not, by the parents without any chance of interference. (Especially if the topic is widely debated, like abortion)

I am against the idea of keeping children in closed environments to guarantee purity of teaching as it distances the children from the rest of reality and teaches them how to maintain a single view point instead of questioning the world. :/

  • @bobplatypus My sincerest apologies...I completely misunderstood your point, and now that it has been clarified, I have to say I agree. Home schooling should not equate to isolation. I know other home school families and I have only seen this in one case. Aloha!

  • @mauimom67 Cool

  • As if the public school system didn't have an agenda? Homeschooling means freedom for children to be who they are without being homogenized by the school's agenda. Homeschooling has nothing to do with isolation.

  • @seville1978 Homeschooling means that the children are being manipulated by their parents into a view point of the world the parents share, whether their parents know they are doing it or not. Isolating children from others in education doesn't allow them to take in the full social aspects schools possess.

  • @seville1978 Being home schooled means seclusion from other perspectives different to the parent. Children are incredibly impressionable, especially at a young age and by providing a limited viewpoint, they will probably be resistant to any other ideas. By understanding other peoples beliefs and perspectives and challenging your own, you generally better your knowledge. This isn't to say that all parents teach like this or that homeschooling will definitively have a negative effect.

  • What about all the in foster care because they were not aborted and were born into families that couldn't support them or didn't want them, but they didn't believe in abortion.

    Pro-choice.

  • A child in foster care may grow up to do all sorts of wonderful things. There are many examples of adopted children who achieved greatness. You have no right to advocate for the death of another person just because you believe that person to be unnecessary.

  • @seville1978 They are also the crippling minority when it comes to those who succeed.. 99% of em end up getting beaten up, even raped by other children, then tossed out on the street to struggle, add to the turmoil in pvoerty and crime, and perpetuate the cycle thanks to people like you who don't think poverty needs to be fixed, who think people do not need help so long as their bodies are breathing.

  • Um, excuse me.. Coming from a family of 6 I must protest to some of the things she said. They help out with cleaning the house, well actually kidsmake more mess than cleaning it up, they also do NOT stop people from driving motorcycles. People just sometimes do not want the child, and then view the little child as "Damn, if you wern't here I could go off a hike mount everest." Children also make people become more selfish sometimes, they push their kids to beat everyone.

  • ... this shows great ignorance...

  • True Abortion is a terrible thing. But you shouldn't exploit your kid to fight your battles.

  • I totally agree

  • There are definitely a lot of evil people who have responded very negatively and selfishly to this video. Abortion is very selfish, and so are the pro-aborts. If they had if their way, they'd kill everybody off. They are so filled with hate. Life is a precious gift, and needs to be protected by law. Every human being starts out as a small seed, and grows for 9 months in the womb, with an eternal soul. They are complete liars who say that it is just a bunch of tissue in the womb.

  • Ok... Those are YOUR BELIEFS, not FACT. If I were to say, oh, well you're an insect for 100 years before you get into the womb, that is my BELIEF (although I do not, it's just an example). You evangelicals are mostly the reason i'm not part of the christian faith any more. You act like you KNOW, when you could be quoting fiction. I'm not saying it is, but it could be for all you know.

  • @DavidH373 It is scientifically proven that life begins at conception. We can and do know this. Otherwise there would be no need for the abortifacient pill which blocks conception. Where do you think babies come from, anyway? Our God is someOne we can and do Know.

  • @ebaytimr It's scientifically proven that cell division starts at conception. This is "life" but it's not the life of a human being yet. It is not capable of being conscious yet. Killing a glob of cells is not like murder if that is what you're getting at here. You kill cells just by living. Everything keeping you alive is killing cells. As for the contraceptive pills, they do not work 100%. Again, I do not agree with abortion unless baby is going to live in pain. God's existence is not fact.

  • I notice you say "Pro-Aborts" like all pro choice people want to do is kill of every dab of cells that begins growing in the womb. This is not true. I frown on abortion. It is a really hard thing for anyone to consider. I wouldn't do it, but I am pro-choice as I feel people should make their own mistakes and be held accountable if that time does come. People shouldn't be babied through life by people who are "right". I do not hate, and I am one in the majority on the side of pro-choice.

  • Dear David, I do not hate. I love God, and God is the one who creates life. If people are not prepared when they engage in relations to accept the responsibility of a child if that so happens, it is their fault if they do not choose to give birth to their child. God is love and life. And this is a purely natural, rational belief. Countless men and women feel totally remorseful over their abortion. Ever hear of the "Silent No More" campaign?

  • @ebaytimr R U KIDDING ME? Do u realize how hateful what u just said is? U r suggesting that ppl who believe it's every woman's choice to keep or terminate a pregnancy want to 'kill everybody off'? That's LUDICROUS!! Furthermore, we don't start out as a "seed", get educated & stop spewing YOUR evil venom about things u clearly know NOTHING about. Selfish is suggesting your belief is right above everyone else's. U pretentious witch ~ let God do the judging!!

  • @ebaytimr Who are you to speak FOR me, herr hitler? You claim I am full of hate b/c I'm pro-choice, yet you don't know me.. you also say I want to kill everyone. You're a hypocrite, a nazi, and illiterate. You cannot speak for a complete strange.r. how long have we known eachother- did we go to school together? Were you present when my son was born, at my wedding? Can you see inside my heart, mind, soul? I'm pro-choice.. but that doesn't make me a fire-breathing dragon like YOU want me to be.

  • You go girl! Nice job to you and your teacher! If you so choose to change your mind one day, that will be your choice.

  • She won't, if you understand how a child's mind works it will project whatever is thrown in front of it. Parents MUST NOT teach religion before they can think abstractly (age 7). You've obviously been at her for some time now. Brainwashing is not cool

P.S. I am PRO CHOICE, but frown upon the decision to abort.

  • I wrote the essay myself when I was eight. I am not brainwashed. It's obvious to me that a baby is a person, and persons should be protected in a humane, civilized society.

  • Nobody knows they are brainwashed, they just are. How long have you been home schooled and taught about God?

How to you take into account situations where both mother and baby will die at child birth? Would you force them both to die for you to get your way? I Don't think it's worth it given the afterlife (if one exists) is a great unknown. I agree that abortion is an action I don't approve of, but to deprive people of choice based on belief is just as wrong as the choice itself in my opinion.

  • I guess that would apply to your atheist education too.

  • I educated myself in the ways of all religions, (I have not quit studying) and I noticed one thing. In ancient religions there is a jesus character (born from a virgin, committed to a life of peace, died to save people). Christianity is just a carbon copy of other religions. Yet these religions are now myths. No one worships the sun god Horus yet he was just like Jesus. I have no interest in atheism. That would require faith in science. I have no faith. Anything is possible, nothing is probable.

  • @seville1978 Define baby, because you seemed a little confused on that part

  • She's so cute. Too bad she's apparently brainwashed. She's a child- if you tell her that abortion is killing children, she's obviously going to be horrified. Too bad she'll grow up to be a woman with no rights, if you keep at it. GO PRO-WOMAN, GO PRO-CHOICE.

  • pretty intense, but you are right on most of it. The fear and brainwashing. Not so much the "no rights" and the "pro women". Anything can be "pro women" if applied to the right or wrong persons.

  • when your argument is weak drop the "F" bomb...

  • lol, that is a good way to tell when someone runs out of material. You notice they start the "yelling" in ALL CAPS and type random incoherent trash. That's why I thumbs downed the woman who was like "GO PRO WOMEN!". This person was obviously brainwashed by the left wing media. lol.

  • Angry and hateful much?

  • not really, she didn't say anything of the sort...

  • I'm so sorry you feel this way about my very BEST Friend, Jesus. He is my everything and very soon He will be returning. You may not bow to Him now but I assure you you will on that day. My prayer is that you will come to know Him before its too late. God loves you and I love you.

  • Rock on. What if your beliefs are based on a fictional text?

  • We'll see...

  • Comment removed

  • Way to go young lady! You've got more intelligence than a lot of adults. Keep up the good work- A+!

  • Precious! Yes, the fruit of the womb is our reward!!!

  • This child is obviously brainwashed. You admit that you wrote the essay? Wow....this is sad. This poor girl is being brainwashed.

  • Good job Seville. Keep strong in the truth and dont let intolerant proaborts push you around.

  • abortion is horrible...fuck this "fetus" term its still a fuckin human

nobody can choose who will live and who will die

(thats why murder is illegal) ;)

i was adopted and im so glad i am alive

  • I love you always. I added you to my favourites.

  • Children, like every child, will grow out of religion.

  • I wrote the essay, and I think your comment was unnecessarily rude. Einstein was a religious man, do you think he was not smart enough?

  • What is that supposed to mean? There are no religious adults? Ever hear of Jimmy Carter, the Dalai Lama or Blessed Teresa of Calcutta?

  • Not true.

  • Wow,you really showed the adults!

The other day I showed my little sister a picture

    of a 7 week old pre-born baby.

I said Sarah, "What is this?"

    She said,

    "Isa baby."

I don't know how some people can be so blind.

  • Would it be possible for her to make the correct statement if you don't teach her what it's called?

MY kids know about prenatal development, they use the correct terms.

You keep your family ignorant and then applaud them for being so, talk about the blind leading the blind.

  • I wrote this essay, and I know perfectly well that a pre-born person is called a fetus. But who cares what you call it? What matters is that everyone knows a fetus is a baby who deserves to live.

  • Einstein was religious until he was 12, this link will educate you on the subject. w w w dot einsteinandreligion dot com/freethink.html A fetus is a fetus, a baby is a baby. It's a term to describe it's physical state. You wouldn't call a plant a flower or a bud a rose. It matters because calling a fetus a baby is an attemt at emotional blackmale and is completely illogical.

  • well at that point in it's development it is more that the "potential" for life is there. It's not human life yet anyway. I will be considering that human life when you define and prove the existence of a soul and that it truly enters the body at time of conception. Belief is a weak and pointless term when falling on these ears (or I suppose... eyes in this case). It's all fine and good to believe emotionally until you start getting in the way of others emotions and their right to have them.

  • She obviously has been taught to be reponsible and to respect life...HUMAN LIFE! Better than some people who seek the protection of animals and trees! What good will it be for us to have a healthy ecosystem if we have no people to enjoy it.

You think the only lives that matter are human ones? You think the Earth doesn't matter? Hey buddy, without the animals and the Earth- PEOPLE WOULDN'T EXIST. Straighten out your priorities, my good God.

  • Aw she's cute. Totally misguided, but very cute :)

  • How does god pertain to this argument. This is the United States. We are a democracy not a theocrocy. The seperation of Church and state is one of the key ideas on which this country was founded. Because of this, laws must be created and changed without the influence of religion. To not do so would make this country no diffirent than the theocracy in Iran.

  • Ahh. Isn't this cute. look at the indoctrination that this kid is going thru. Does she know what she is saying or are mommy and daddy telling her what to say.

  • She's home schooled. Mommy and daddy are telling her what to say.

  • hell's yeah that's right.

  • Hi,

I am the little girl who wrote the essay, and I did actually write it myself. Of course, my Mom has told me about pro-life issues. Isn't it a parent's job to educate her child? I am not forced to believe anything. I chose to be pro-life because it's obvious to me that a baby is a real person. Where do you think you came from? If your mother hadn't chosen life for you, you would not be here.

  • Seville, it is also a parents job to shield their child from the harsh reality of life. Which I hope your mother is doing. Abortion isn't always a black and white subject, there are vast area's of gray.

Is it okay to abort if the mother was raped? What if the fetus has a serious disability or genetic disease? What if the mother's life is at risk? If it's a tubal pregnancy is it okay to abort? (cont.)

  • Abortion is a personal issue, perhaps you will always be pro-life, and that's okay, or perhaps you will grow up and become pro-choice. But either way, you're still a child and you're only learning what information your parents give you.

  • This is to novamist, of course it's not your job just to be a baby incubator. Of course you have choice babe, you have a choice before you get pregnant. If your mature enough to "choose" to have sex and risk pregnancy. I am also sexually active and understand the things that go along with that. Who are you to play God? Who are you to decide when life begins and ends? So yes I'm pro-choice, i support a womans choice to get into bed, but after that it's to late and your dealing with a HUMAN LIFE.

  • Ok, first of all we are god by any eastern definition, so be careful. Second, prove it is a human life, then prove it is "wrong". If you use religion for that proof you must prove that correct. If you have "seen" proof, that is fine and dandy for you, but in that case the burden of proof is on you. Until you can prove, you shouldn't be making claims of right and wrong.

  • While there are many logical, sociological, scientific and civil rights arguments opposing abortion as an option to an unplanned pregnancy, this young child is using the Bible as a solid reference. Unfortunately, for those that think the Bible is merely a fictional fairy tale book are missing out on so much. I encourage you to read it for what it is..the only absolute truth in this world.

  • Yup. I'll put my absolute faith in a book that claims a man parted the sea, you can cram two of every animal in the world on a boat, the entire world and everything on it was made in seven days and that a snake can talk to humans.

Only a child would be dumb enough to believe that crap.

  • I think it's curious that the people who dislike this little girl's essay can only insult her. Have they no actual arguments to propose?

  • Her arguments have no purpose because she has obviously been brainwashed into thinking the way she does. You - or whoever are her parents, guardians or carers - have not allowed this little girl to form her own opinions on the matter. I am a woman, and my soul function is not merely to be a baby incubator. Quoting from The Biblical Anthology of Fairy Tales is all well and good, but really it means very little.

  • Can you prove it is all fairy tales? I'm fighting hard for proof from both sides. It seems neither have a decent argument. So why should I trust either to be correct?

  • Good gosh, how can you say she is brainwashed. She obviously has been taught to be reponsible and to respect life...HUMAN LIFE! Better than some people who seek the protection of animals and trees! What good will it be for us to have a healthy ecosystem if we have no people to enjoy it. 46,000,000 have died so far and counting from abortion. This will hurt us in the long run because we are eliminating ourselves!

Think about it...thank God for this little girl!

  • Why do we keep needing more kids? So they can fall through the cracks in the system?

Global warming = no need for more people; especially brainwashed kids.

  • Great little poem, keep the faith.

  • Why should she exactly?

  • Very cool. :D

  • Great, another brainwashed child. Get a life or keep reading out of your fairytale "book."

  • Exactly what i thought. For goodness sake, reproduction is not my only function!

  • Good job.

  • Go You! I'm am so pro-life!

  • I have tears in my eyes just listening to you speak. I'm a teacher in South Korea and I view all my students like gifts from God. You are a true leader of the future. You have reminded me of my call in life, to help shape the future by being a teacher. Thanks so much. Laura Welch :)+
