  • what does he say at 0:17? There's a north pole...what? Couldn't understand :(

  • very cool

  • Mirrors!

  • chuck norris's balls.

  • Problem gravity?

  • wait, is he dreaming if it levitates?

  • that last one is gay as fuck!

  • only vid?

  • INCEPTION D:

  • They are obviously dreaming, because the totem isn't toppling......

  • donde se concige???

  • Go to the website then go to toy shop then go to magnetic toys then go down to levitron (Just incase you were planning on buying it)

  • LOOK ITS FLOATING!??!

  • oye cuanto tiempo puede seguir girando? para porque se gasta la vida del iman, o porque es mal sincronisado, cuanto tiempo puede dar un iman +o- ( si de pende de lo grando que es el iman?¿? pls responde

  • those fucking magnets !

  • Everyone says this is fake.

It's so fucking simple it's not even funny. All you need is a basic knowledge of how magnets work.

  • INCEPTION

  • The 9 people who disliked this video are religious nuts who hate science.

  • These things are really expensive...

  • So can this be harnessed for energy?

  • cool toy, really stupid tricks

  • it's real u mooks, i had one long ago :-)

  • wtf is he saying lol fake i see a string

  • @yarabab no you dont. he puts his hand over the thing several times.

  • @yarabab this is not fake u dumbass. there's magnetic fields that cause it to levitate

  • @Ren520 lol no shit

  • the UFO's are this meccanic. The worl is a magnetic.

  • This is probably not possible but what if we made a device that has a similar shape to the top which has a strong electromagnet underneath and the inside wouldn't spin like a gyroscope. It would use the earth's magnetic field to repel itself. Maybe

when it would go to a different side of the earth( north pole south pole) the electromagnet could switch polarities.

  • omg epic :O

  • This is a very well made video.

  • lol this guy is so plain

    humor wise

  • NICE VOICE MATE COME IN MENS?

  • donde lo puedo comprar

  • @cky12qxz hehe... snip, snip, SNIP! good1 in'it :D

  • This was originally an invention by Harrigan, and patented by him in late 70's.

Hones was the one who made minor changes to the original design of Harrigan, patented it as a new invention, and started mass selling them

    Moral of the story?

If you don't sell your invention, someone else will!

  • So far my record is a little over 3 minutes. :-|

  • Is the base a ringmagnet?

And Were do you bought these two things?

  • I like this. The one that always challenges my brain is the gyroscope with horizontal axis. It has been explained to me but I just find it so intriguing.

  • Why don't they make a spinning pen that hovers high above the base? A top seems too kiddyish, but a levitating pen that floats so high would be a serious desk ornament.

  • A pen doesn't have the aerodynamic properties to sustain anywhere near as much air time, and even if it did, it would seriously cut down on productivity to have to stop and spin your pen every 3 minutes lol

  • ive got one.. it hovers horizontally above its base, doesnt need spinning..just floats there, like some kind of floaty magnetty floating pen

my sex life improved by 37.6% since i got a floating pen

  • wow, that's more than 1/e !

  • hmm i got to get one!

  • @SpiderLuigiMan,

A pen with a smooth metal or plastic finish could easily spin without excessive air resistance. Furthermore, there is the Levitron Deluxe or Perpetuator, which uses the magnetic fields to give a boost to the spinning top, to keep it spinning. That could similarly be used to keep a pen spinning as well.

I would love to see Levitron come up with a vertically suspended pen spinning in place. Heh, when people look at it wide-eyed and ask you what it is, just tell them it's a pen!

  • that scissor went a little bit wrong :P

  • Wow. It looks really cool when he takes the scissors and pretends to snip a string.

  • AMAZING ! :D

  • I have one

  • It's not string tricks, it has to do with magnetic force. I saw it on Weird Connections.

  • cool now thats flying nice vid

  • DIOS OMG

  • i wish they sell those in stores

  • how high till the top falls

  • where did u get it?

  • a must for a stoner

  • i love this version of levitron

  • its an electromagnetic 8)

great toy though, i love it

  • nope its not, then you have needed some power to make it work, as you can see the only thing needed is the spinning magnet, no external power is required.

  • cool vid thanks

  • cool, thanks

  • it's simply magnet

  • hey guys this vid IS no magic trick it has never been said it is one, it's just a physical toy and it's definately floating , i've got one myself

  • Something like UFO o.O xP

  • eheh, it's wonderful, I also have a levitron like that, but it has red rings, not yellow....

  • lal he says it himself, and we obviously all noticed that. its still lovely to see it floating this way

  • it's not a trick you fucking idiot

  • yeah right :)))..also a poor one :)

  • its obvious your comment is a collection of words your useless mind put together....poor comment..

  • it's obvious that your an idiot ;)

  • well you are the one who did not listen to the ma non the video...and tried to prove to the world you can identify something that was already stated.

  • If that isn't proof enough that 'alien spacecraft' is possible, nothing is. Even seeing one face to face.

  • É a forma mais precisa que eles encontraram para explicar a princípio,a forma de movimento dos disco voadores e a forma com a qual se movimentam para trás e para frente com a reação repulsiva de elementos com mesma carga eletromagnética.

  • where do u get that

  • WHERE DID U GET IT?

  • e-bay man! e-bay!!

  • Stupefacente

  • where did you get yours?

i want a small base like that.

it would be easier to hide for a trick.

  • thats how we will stop ufo for atacking the erth (scissors)

  • @pheonxas HAHAHAHAHA GREAT COMMENT. YOU WONT THE GOOD COMMENTER GOLD TROPHY

  • That's a most excellent demonstration,

wit and whimsy and science all in one.

    Thank you.

  • how do i get one

  • go to the site

  • I like the scissor thing...that was funny

  • "Snip, snip, snip, SNIP!"

  • how did u do that cause i have one but it wont like float... i did all it said and changed the weight to it and it still wont work ...can u help me

  • Thats cool, we did it in our science class today

  • yh where can u get it?

  • if you're anywhere near Santa Fe, NM, there is a store called Science Toy Magic that sells them.

  • whaaaaaaa

  • whaere can you buy that?

  • in honk konk petty shop

  • That is no toy. Be awared.

  • Gravitational plainer elipse the mass of motion spinning outward against the magnetic field holds its position relitive to the power output of the top. in simple terms a ufo or i should say a UFT...:-) or IFT..!

  • vvaaaavv

  • It is no trick. The principle is similar to a riding saddle placed on a spinning table, and you place a ball in the center of the saddle - it will not fall down. In case of the Levitron the saddle is a quadrupole magnetic field (+-+- poles around its axis), the ball is a dipole magnet and the force to hold it is not gravitation but electro-magnetic force. That's it - just physics ;)

  • O_o ooolala

  • ben yapamıyorum uçmuyo bu a.q şeyi

  • ISITEL, INC. would like to patent it. Please contact us.

  • süper bişey

  • He says this within the video, He quite clearly explains that it is in fact magnets at the start, these things are everywhere, you can buy them in toy shops. Did you think he was telekinetic or something?

  • RETARD!

  • silver604 you moron.

  • ufooooo

  • kool i liked the propeller trick

  • This is awesome !!! I bought six of them. You could find them on amazon. There a great deal and cost about $30.00

  • levitron is awesome

can buy at thinkgeek dot com :p

  • What a brit. :-P

    Pretty cool video though.

  • nice

  • where could you buy won of those

  • mottasim, if you're anywhere near santa fe, nm they have a shop called 'science toy magic' that carries them.

  • Awesome!
