  • Where did they broadcast from? I was there 68-69 in Korat

  • The TV control room and xmtr were in a semi-trailer, which was parked under a large awning, right outside of and right next to the AFTN production building. The TV studio, along with the Korat "local" radio studios, music library, etc., were inside the building. The technical TV gear was in the trailer, so as to be "mobile" and non-permanent, in order to satisfy the requirements laid down by the Thai government.

  • @agcamp

I was a radio equipment repair tech at AFTN Korat RTAFB from june 1967

    to December 1968.

  • What does the "T" stand for in AFTN? I know AFKN and AFVN, so "T" must mean "Thailand" or "Taiwan"?

  • The "T" is/was for Thailand!
