Don't put your feet like a kickflip when you do them. Put your toe hanging a little bit off that way when you push your heel it will be easier, and faster, so you actually catch them, and it looks cleaner. Jumping higher would help too. For varials heels, you just need to jump higher.

These tricks are very UGLY and SKETCHY
