@LJPV777 The pocket pot was a great little device for me when starting off with direct recording, especially for it's cheap price. I have since then upgraded but the pocket pod was good to start off with.

@alvarg Go for something LTD or ESP if you have the money. I have a MH-350nt and it kicks ass. Check them out. Also if you don't already get a decent amp, they will make a bigger difference than the guitar.

@CRONtouch7 I used the pre-set called "Chugs and Kisses" which is found under KSE. I slightly changed it but only a little.

@trasher1996 Nope, I recorded the audio in two seperate parts seperate to the video, one with a clean sound and one with a distorted sound. I filmed after I recorded and synced the audio with the video.

@129jasaxos In my old videos, I used to directly record through the computer with a Line 6 Pocket Pod into the free program Audacity. These days I use the same method but with a Zoom G7.1ut

I do change it a little depending on the song and computer I'm recording on but its pretty close each time

I used the same tone for all the songs. It was just a slightly modified preset on my line 6 pocket pod. You can try to fiddle around and find the same tone but I have no idea if you will find it.

Here's some tips,

don't fall into the "Guitarist Curse" and pay for some really expensive guitar,

you can get yourself a nice guitar for 400-700, And a nice beginner's guitar for 150-300.
