People really shouldn't be worrying so much about this at all, if there's 1 thing we should learn from the stripes it's that music doesn't have to be perfect at all, it's all about what you get out of it, and if you enjoy making it, make any music you want in any way you want.

The White Stripes did say that their music is now ours to do with what we want.

It's not about being perfect, it's about music having soul. The fact that you've covered this White Stripes song is badass! (a good thing)
