@carryclass Try living in Chicago, average apartment rent "not downtown" 1 bedroom is $800+. All utilities are high and car gas is almost $4 gallon+ food is higher priced too because is costs more for the grocery store to do business in the large cities "TAX". So now how happy are you making less then $27hr? You cant even buy afford a home with an income of $40k yr. Come on, can you see the point? $55K year in a small town in Kentucky makes you a Wealthy person. Its all relative..
State and Federal union employees have been on easy street, and we are supposed to support their cause—why? But lets be real for a moment; these protests are about nothing more than overpaid state employees complaining that they are being asked to pay for a portion of their retirement and benefits like the private sector does (btw-most of the private sector generates the revenue to pay for those bennies).
@FORMETOKNOWONLY Your Senator isnt a UNION employee, you dont mind paying his benefits? They make 6 figures, most union workers make below 6 figures. You didn't mind bailing out the banks / mortgage companies while there executives collected millions in bonuses "after" the bail out. Maybe thats why this country is going broke? OK, its the unions. We avg. $27 hr and darn it we are the problem. Welfare? No thats not the problem, those people deserve there entitlements for hanging out.
@CPDCFD Your trying to put words in my mouth. I do not support bailouts of banks AND I don't support bailouts and continued support of public sector unions. Everyone should be tightening the belt--which includes public sector employees.
@FORMETOKNOWONLY TIGHTENING THE BELT WAS CAUSED by the fucking greedy executives in the Private and Public sector NOT the fucking $30 hour union worker. You are being BRAIN WASHED to believe that public sector union workers killed the economy. Not the free hospital care for illegals and entitlement dogs. And guess what if you DARE attack the Welfare program you will be called a RACIST. WAKE UP MAN this country is turning into China, ever see how they work? Look it up on YT.
@FORMETOKNOWONLY Hey, a few Senators took a 7% pay cut from there 6 figure position. Most are lawyers and have more money than God. You dont become a Senator for the govt. check, you do it to influence your business holdings and expand your private practice. We are all fucked, they are creating this middle class vs middle class fight, fucking politics and we all loose in the end. We are all being forced to tighten up to pay for entitlements, quite hating us.
@FORMETOKNOWONLY How about all those MILLIONS spend on BS public works projects? THen after the contractor fucks it up WE have to pay to REDO IT. Where is the accountability. Where is the REFUND for shit work? Where is the Protest & public outcry? This is why we are bankrupt, this is why I will loose my pension benefits. And people like you say "who cares, I lost my benefits too". I get it man. This infighting of the middle class works well, we BOTH loose.. Get it now?
There needs to be some motivation to have such a shitty job. Is this the new propoganda? To take away the benefits, pensions, and retirement plans for cops, firemen, teachers?
Get the fuck out of here. Im none of the above btw, I own my own businesses. What we need to do is cut tthe retirement plans for members of senate and congress. Which those are presently 100% salary with increases for a single term in either. So before you go and cut a fireman's shitty check, try cutting a politicans
@TheTrollMagic So you're going to come on here and act like an ass without taking into account that firemen and cops aren't the only public sector workers? Consider teachers in the public sectors who get paid more, get way more benefits, and act like they aren't funded. Public Unions extend far beyond the few jobs you names but you only listed those jobs to make a point rather than examine the entirety of the issue.
@LibertarianINT Sooooooo... what would those jobs be exactly then since you know so much about it? Which jobs do you, in your opinion deserve to have their retirement's removed or slashed? Let's hear your brilliant advice shall we?
@LibertarianINT Not sure if you actually know any teachers, but I happen to. Most SCHOOLS do not get funding. Benefits has nothing to do with funding, I suggest you learn the fucking difference.
when i have lost jobs there were no union members crying for me
