Hello there - down under. This is great! I can clearly hear influences from the 70s. My hobby is to rediscover all the great bands that did´nt "broke through". But you´re not one of them. As I can see you are still "on the road. A tip: Listen to THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Maybe something for your playlist. It´s really f.....g good with a bloody driving beat. The recordings were made 1965. Unbelievable!!!!!
my dad bought this for me the other day on vinyl from a second hand store along with a rare bob marley 45 12" and the saints (im) standed all fricken awesome
For everyone saying AC/DC way better than RB, no they're not. Not so. They're different, and I reckon they're overrated but that's just my opinion. Anyway, as Jagger says, it's only rock'n'roll.
Hey don't blame me because Radio Birdman aern't bigger, I've been listening to them since 1980 - you 20 something year olds should blame your parents :) Also been listening to the Saints, Acca Dacca, Hard-Ons, Bored , Powder Monkeys, New Christs, Dubrovniks - the list goes on and on
@elementz1986 ac/dc were pretty much an underground band just until right before Bon died. You really can't compare that version of the band to the one after and they were miles better than radio birdman. It's kind of a stupid comparison to begin with as they sound nothing alike though. I can name other Aus bands like the masters apprentices, missing links, etc that should of been bigger too it really makes no difference.
@paintedship I wouldn't say that they are "miles" better. No way, they were different. I like ACDC but always thought they went totally commercial, thats when they got "what you would say successful". These guys are rockers without the commercial, ACDC were commercial rockers. These guys were waaaaaaaay harder rockers then ACDC.
@murfdasurfer I like them and all but there's so many better bands out there. AC/DC didn't go totally commercial until Brian but you could argue that they made their sound more mainstream when they stopped working with Vanda and Young, but that was their last album with Bon. I've seen and heard shows by both. All you need to do is watch footage with Bon in ac/dc to know who the better band was live. AC/DC were not commercial rockers in the 70s- they played dives until like '78.
@murfdasurfer to me Birdman is a kind of wannabe stooges. AC/DC with Bon was something truly special but again they really shouldn't even be compared as their only similarity is that they are both from Sydney and the same time period.
If you get a chance -check out my band "the dirt rotters" version - probably a cross between this and the original. although I first heard the Birdman version in 1980 - I only got the original version a few years back. this kicks arse
miss the electric jug, though

Recently rewired my Epi, and done some fairly good sounding mods.
My wife wonder why I spend so much time in the cellar.
Listen to the Roky song, I say.
Why bother, they just don't wanne understand.
Thrash in, fellas.
