im really glad they gave us this, because it really shows that derek and addison did love each other once. at first addison shows up as the pious bitch who;s all "so you;re the whore screwing my husband?" but her banging on the door in the rain is heartbreaking

This scene never ceases to make me angry. Kudos 2 Patrick Dempsey 4 portraying the shock & hurt of a man coming home 2 see his wife in bed with his bf. Addison us fresh off of Mark when trying to explain herself & it's just..well it's horrible. Loved Patrick in this scene. When he says "I csn't look at you. I look at you and I feel nauseous" I get it. You just know right there why this marriage is broken for good. What a betrayal. Dempsey as Derek should have gotten an Emmy for this scene.

When you want to get a divorce you have to be one year separated first before the judge allows both parties to get a divorce... it would be unrealistic for you to think people don't sleep with other people in that one year separation.
I get that Derek was a jerk to her, but that doesn't mean you can sleep with his best friend. She could have talked to him, or they could have gone to marriage counseling. I love Addison, but I don't think she really had an actual excuse.
i like merder but when i was watching season2 i so badly wanted addison and derek. SO BAD. but i forget what episode but when addi said "im lonely" to derek even though she was with him i realised that is was over; no point in wanting it...
and then in season3 in the private practice crossover. when i realised that she was gonna leave. i stopped the dvd and started crying. cause i loved addi so much. but im ok with merder.

you can see such an internal battle in his eyes, he loves her yet he hates her, one of the best scenes acting wise on grey's ever! this was the season where i totally started to respect Addison as a character and Kate Walsh as an actress (Y)
