Haha, does it really matter what the song was written about? Its a universal idea. Needles, lights burning, pain.. those can apply to anything from rape or abuse to drugs or cutting.

The song is one of the best lovesongs to the wounded, though. The reminder that theres always the chance to fight. One of my favorite songs, ever.

I like how aeach album exhibits a new feeling. they grow in lyrics each time. while cities is my favourite and really intense, I like this album because it's more uplifting and also just wonderful, a new feeling. it would get boring if they stayed the same!!! Kinda disappointing. this was the only song i really felt on the album. the new version of feel good drag kinda messed up my fav song by them (even though it was so-so). breaking is so popular among fans but i feel like the lyrics didn't live up to the instrumentals at all (which annoys me greatly). at first i liked the resistence but it just sounds like the singer whining to hardcore bands and saying "we're just as good as you!" This one topped the album but not their old songs.

Ok, this is weird. The song is called "Soft Skeletons" and after I listened to this song I had to run out of the room because I started feeling violently ill. But on the way out I accidently stepped on my pet cat Ginger. I thought Ginger was a gonners. So I took her to the vet and the vet said that she was fine and had no broken bones because Ginger has a "soft skeleton". When the vet said that to me, it instantly reminded me of the song "Soft Skeletons" and I became violently ill. True story!
