  • Thank his producer, Chet Atkins. Waylon mentioned in his autobiography that Atkins loved those Beatles tunes. George Harrison wrote the liner notes to the album Chet Atkins Picks on the Beatles.

  • I think it was a very gutsy move for a Country singer to cover Beatles tunes. But then again That was Waylon. So cool.

  • was john alive when he recorded this? he missed a few words but it was ok.

  • He does his way, pretty cool cut. Just found it. WJ is "THE HEAT " What a set of pipes !

  • Waylon sings this song better than anyone who has ever lived and who will ever live.

His voice sounds like that of a mighty lumberjack who is also a poet and romantic.

  • Awesome. I've been looking for a copy of this.

  • Thank you. I'm a big fan of Waylon myself. I didn't know if it was his band or a crop of Nashville studio musicians.

  • The other musicians on this recording are The Waylors, which consisted of I believe at the time, Jerry Gropp, Richie Albright and Waylon's brother Tommy. Always loved this recording. Thanks.
