  • i LOVE IT

  • Nobody should ever sing this song or face arrest. Little Miss Brenda Lee OWNS this song!

  • What a great singer from the beginning of R'n'R. Great country artist. Immortialized in a Chuck Berry song and toured the UK with the Beatles as her opening act.

    You're the greatest baby!

  • I'm glad there are such great songs like this!!!! Love You Brenda forever XXXXXXX

  • Vamos confessar uma verdade: é uma delícia o jeito que Brenda Lee canta... Não preciso dizer mais nada.

  • In this historic moment I have lost my first love

Thank you very much for this remembrance of this bitter moment

    Yours

  • Only you Brenda :) You are always on my mind and my hearth

    best wishes from Poland

  • Only one Benda Lee.Makes me think of my youth.

  • I've just been listening to hits from 62 ... most of them sound rather "affected" - then I listened to Brenda. She's "genuine".

  • i love this better than the original recording she topped herself

  • this is class.great singer and interpretor.one of americas best. as they say in italy grande brenda.cant believe anyone could not like this fabulous singer.beautiful brenda lee. *****

  • im sorry!

  • Thank you for posting .. This song just came to mind.

  • I honestly liked Taylors version better. I really don't Brenda's voice. It's too deep for me and she sings off the music. It annoyed me her singing didn't go along with the music in the background. No I'm not joking and I'm sure Brenda is an amazing person, but I don't like her voice or the way she sings :|

  • @amberlovesemo1 Try to listen to how she sang these songs when she first came out with them years ago. I suspect that you might change your mind about not liking her voice. I agree she sang this song differently than she use to sing. All in all, she's a great singing voice in my opinion!

  • Wow!

  • Young or Older, she's still one of the best.

  • love her voice

  • YOU MEAN LEGEND!

  • i cant say no more can i but ive been there

  • Love you Brenda ! For all great emotions and those amazing moments with her songs - love you Brenda .. ! What abt brilliant voice !

  • que grande!

  • Brenda's voice is still fantastic. She hasn't last a thing, except that her speaking voice got a a little lower. She is a legend! Such a sexy voice!

  • if, as i fear, i failed to respond to two only slightly oblique invitations, i am more than sorry.

  • This version sucks. Old lady can't hack it anymore. It's like DIE ALL READY! lol

  • @PedoLouie If anyone sucks you do you are very rude probably collecting unemployment and sitting around lazy with nothing to do i wonder what your voice sounds like

  • O que se falar de coisa tão linda. O coração impera.

  • Brilliant. why don`t they make them like this anymore?

  • None Better!!

  • What Year was this done? In It, You sure can tell her voice change from when She first did it in 1960. Still & now more so, "Little Miss Dynamite".

  • @PeterRabbit59 Surely you must know that all singers voices change as they get older. I agree that it does not sound as nice as her younger voice did but she is still a good singer

  • excellent ,best female Voice of all

  • My dad introduced me to her when I was a kid. Now Amy Winehouse is the girl Brenda was.

  • @josiahwins sounds like you are on what Amy W is on

  • Amazing woman !

  • Memorable song and singer!

  • That was ( LIVE ) ! Brenda 5*****

  • best female Voice of all ...elvis best male voice

  • Damn, I love her voice. Strong, deep beautiful. Brenda's I'm Sorry was the first 45 I ever bought. I played it until it was grey. SO glad to have seen her live, three times now!

  • No one can sing this song like Ms Brenda Lee does.Every fiber of her goes into it. Thanks for sharing.

  • @1moonz

    yes

  • This doesn't say it all - but part of it. b

  • Brenda Lee is an icon from the early "Rock" era. She had her first national hit at the age of 13. She's been a musical legion for close to 50 years.

  • fogg01 is actually "maga" - anyway if you lok at my comments for Connie Francis' song "Who's sorry Now?" - Ditto for Brenda Lee and Patsy Cline - especially in "Crazy" - another of my favorites. None of these women had particularly happy lives, but they don't sing about suicide, cutting, murder, etc.

    maga

  • shes related to me from my moms side....you are awesome brenda

  • Who is your MOM,JULIE OR JOLIE?

  • her name is misty nicole tarpley..

  • wow, luckly you, Brenda lEE IS ONE OF MY FAVOURTE SINGERS. i MET HER IN PERSON in 1981 in H alfax!!

  • Thank-you, would that happen to be Brenda Lee,s sister, Linda? By THE WAY Brenda Lee is two years older than I am, and Ihave always loved ,actually, three years in a row about four or five years ago, I use to phone on her birthday and sing ''Happy Birthday '' to her. By the way I live in Canada!!

  • mes années insouciantes; superbe voix

  • I really don't like getting old and what it can do to one's body....and one's voice. Oi....

  • What a good romantic song....excelent!!

    Love her !!!

  • ELLE FAIT PARTIE DE NOTRE JOUNAISE

  • ru retREDED

  • why Yes I am Thank you for asking

  • Awesome! It's amazing how her voice doesn't change, the inflection, the diction, the "accent." Does she get better with age?

  • I used to sing Brenda Lee songs over at a girlfriend's house in Junior High. She chose Streisand and I did the Brenda thing. (We're about he same age). Love her. And Connie Francis

  • superb ,imi aduce aminte de adolescenta ,cand dansam la ceaiuri

  • This is Brenda's song! As far as I'm concerned she can sing it anyway she wants to. You go Girl!!!!!!

  • Excellent!

Thank you for sharing this title.

  • Que quieres que te diga.- insuperable.- gracias Brenda

  • i love this blusey rendition brenda lee has taken with absolutely what is her song only. she can put so much emotion in, that she tells a whole story and we all feel it right to our bones. now THAT is singing.

  • taylor shift did better?.... please god tell me you're joking. she has a horrible voice... and cant compare to brenda lee in the slightest.

now relating to the video: she sang it too country for this performance, which makes it sound really odd compared to the original.

  • still sounds great

  • connie francis still the best on this, sweet and emotional.

  • Where-when was this show on?

  • Compared to the original: Terrible

  • Taylor can't compare to Brenda..listen to the original hon..you won't find any comparison

  • Brenda Lee has the most original voice.

  • your a stupid ass she aint that old

  • Brenda is the best female voice, ever. Youtube search for ELVIS ROCK DISCO 45 and you will see an honoring to this one from Chile.

  • the only one close to Brenda singing today is leanne rimes or carrie underwood

  • This was the # 1 song for the date July 18, 1960. the day my love Jerry was born.

  • Przepiekne.

    Przepraszam za bledy...A.

    5*/5*

  • Brenda is the better. Youtube search for DISCO 45 and VIVA EL ROCK AND ROLL (Manuel Vargas) and you will see an honoring to this one from Chile.

  • I might add that when I hear her old recordings, they sort of bring tears to my eyes. Her voice was just amazing.

  • Brenda Lee> 1 of the Grand Ladies of Country, elegant, classy and a great voice, in my opinion 2nd only to Linda Ronstadt. Brenda Ty for all the years of great country music.

  • Yuk! That top voice in the background is SOOO flat I can hardly stand to listen to it. I"m amazed that a start of Brenda's magnitude couldn't rate a better back up. Amazing!

  • No offense but Brenda Lee had a much bigger voice when she was young. I have a feeling that it's because she's trying to sound country. Either that or she doesn't use her voice much anymore.

  • Vaman was talking about the backup singers.

  • mooi lied , van rony in merksem ( belgie)

  • wow i told my peps this

  • Miss Lee you are fantastic, beautiful and you are more radiant than ever. Thanks for your voice!

  • my friend sent this to me when we got in a fight...it was great

  • Her wig looks funny

  • it sreally a wig? how did that happen?

  • What a voice, it could'nt be anyone else.

  • This song was a big hit in CHILE (1960). Youtube search DISCO 45 and VIVA EL ROCK AND ROLL (Manuel Vargas) and you will see an honoring to many songs of these years.

  • boy she is still a fox good luck girl

  • I´m sorry, aber ich schmelze dahin.

  • miss Lee looks great and sounds as good as ever ! but I have to say the band sucks

  • she look weird

  • Great woman and beautiful voice.

  • if you like brenda lee check out elvisjanerogers

  • My late husband said Brenda Lee came to Juneau Alaska back in the '60's which was rare live entertainment in those days. Hundreds of people were there waiting in great anticipation to hear her sing. He said this teeny tiny woman walked out with almost no stage presence, but when she opened her mouth he said his hair flew straight back, haha, her voice was so huge!!

  • hi i was just wondering how you are...i see you lost your husband...my wife and i live in north kcmo

  • That,s why they call her''LITTLE MISS DYNAMITE!!!

  • Brenda visited Chile when she was only sixteen, in 1961. Youtube search MANUEL VARGAS (DISCO 45 and VIVA EL ROCK AND ROLL) and you will see an honoring to this one and others beautiful songs of these years.

  • Sorry but your wrong. After performing for several decades (like me), you dont do such things to impair your skills. You dont drink or you make a fool of yourself onstage. Pros take pride in their onstage presentation and alchohol interferes with that. We drink water to keep our vocal chords moistened and to hydrate from the intense heat of the overhead lights which makes you sweat profusely. Stage fright? not. We cant even see you most of the time with he lights in our eyes.

  • Excuse me, but Barbra Streisand went into temporary retirement because of her stagefright, better known to some of US as anxiet and panic attacks. Charlie Rich had the same problem, so stop being a know-it-all with these other posters.

  • Ah well Ive been making my living singing and performing on keyboards all my life so I hardly think I need any advice from you about what it's like onstage? And I too have raised a son and put him through college and paid for a home performing as my sole occupation so yes I am a know it all thank you. What did you do?

  • I forgot to mention that I was referring to the posts about drinking and how some of the posters seem to think that drinking helps performing which it does not. As to stage fright I've never had it.But I think correcting some misconceptions about people in my industry is perfectly fine and that's what I did. If you ever tried to make it your occupation you might understand my point.Charlie Rich btw is fine I like him too, and I have sung many of his songs over the years.

  • NClackum is right; Carly Simon has the same problem and dropped out of performing as I recall for ten years her stagefright was so crippling.

  • thank you. Naomi

  • brenda use to come on stage drunk

  • So? Lots of entertainers do; stage fright isn't just for amateurs. We want these folks to entertain and amuse us; if they can do a good job drunk, that's OK. Brenda Lee drunk is better than a LOT of people (Can you say, "Courtney Love?") sober.

  • Amazing isn't it, how people seem to know all of this personal stuff about singers of the past? Like you, I don't care if they came on stage drunk or not, alot of them do. I'd probably need a couple of shots too if I were performing on stage. And the audience would probably need several shots to endure my singing! lololol!!!!

  • NO, SHE MOST CERTAINLY DIDnot EVER GO ON STAGE DRUNK that is a very nasty thing to say about her!!

  • Thanks, Paulbrend. I saw in Youtube DISCO 45 of Manuel Vargas. Is very good. Thanks.

  • WOOOOW!!!!!!! ,') ....
