Sometimes you take a knee to your chest and you still have to hug the ball for dear life. Goalkeepers are the least appreciated position to play in IMO. Being a goalkeeper is special because you put on the number 1 shirt and play a lone position. I can dribble, shoot and showboat but i still choose to be a goalkeeper.

1:30 ,acually made one of those saves just a little while ago. The striker always feels to confident that he just touches the ball, never acually giving it much power, so if you just go for it, 9 out of 10 times, you'll save it :)

i think that the only reason that we close our eyes when we make a save or dive is becuase it is a natural instinct to close your eyes right beore you hit the ground so you can brace for impact. But i havent really noticed if i close my eyes or not

sometimes people only focus on the strikers/ midfielders and the wonderful goals they score... but they forget the goalkeepers whose jobs are to keep out these strikers from scoring with every shot they get. and goalkeepers deserve as much respect and credits as any other on the pitch.
