@bustyboy123 Your kit was turned off, radio was turned off, no receiver reception, it was trying to get away from you, etc.

The first thing to nitro is that you turn the electronics on the kit and the radio on first, test the electronics and throttle movements, test the failsafe, and then prime and start the engine.

ive had mine since christmas and i haven't upgraded anything and its been alright. its not going to last much longer now. every things worn out on it and i cant be bothered to replace parts on it because i bought a mgt 4.6 yesterday. it still runs though.

and yes it is a good beginner car because you learn how the car works by pulling it apart and fixing it.

Hey nice video its now helped me understand more about the starting process and priming of my engine. I was just wondering at the end you pinched the fuel line to cut off the engine but is it ok to just cover the exhaust with a rag until it cuts out?

If your going to let your truck sit over night or longer pinch the fuel line ..

If your going to start it back up after 15 minutes just "FEATHER THE STINGER" (exhaust) just put your finger on it then take it off then put your finger on it farley slowly, this is just to keep the RPM's down a notch ..

@ballhawk210 Its more important to pick the brand honestly. After that, pick the kit best suites you for what you want to do. In your examples. you have a onroad compared to a offroad. These are two extremes. The main question to ask yourself is where will you be running? If you will be going in grass, dirt, etc then it might be best to lean towards the buggy.

If you use a rotostart system, how many turns a minute do you suggest that the drill should have. I've heard some people say that 1200 turns per minute is sufficient, but they're to expensive.

Can I just add that if you are blowing on the back pressure line to prime the engine then do it with the carb valve set to either half or full throttle.

I found this out when I nearly collapsed from a head rush while trying to blow the fuel through while the valve was set at idle. Lol!

jus a small tip, when the fuel gets to the carb in the fuel line cover the exhaust exit open throttle and pull on the string 3 times. it used to work fantastic on my thundertiger allways started first time!

I believe that they are both futaba radios. As long as you get the crystal that is the same frequency as the radio, or replace both, then you can./

As for 50% nitro, check with the manual. Typically that is an helicopter/ plane fuel and those engines can handle it. You will want to stick to surface 33% below fuel. See vid 1 of this series for more details.

hey squirrelod, i am a big fan, but i have a question, i run a losi aftershock with the a m26ss motor, well i was getting ready to start it and the one way bearing leading to the crankshaft has a crack in it and won't grab the the start shaft anymore, it isn't fully broken, but do you think squeezing the one way bearing and welding it back together would fix this problem, plz get back to me asap,

Leaning for 3 seconds to kill an engine will not hurt your engine.

Leaning for a longer period of time will hurt your engine.

Pinching the fuel line is recommended by a lot of people, major companies provide plastic pinchers to pinch the line, and it will not harm your engine.

If pinching the line does harm your engine then you have issues other than pinching a fuel line.

In addition, if you do not pinch your fuel line then you cannot test your LSN/ idle tune.

I personally would and cut the blue wire. But, the EZ start has a wire that attached to the plug that lights the glowplug. However, after a few times of removing and reinstalling it to get to the plug then you will know what I am talking about.

As in the tank primers? They are notorious for air leaks. You do not want bubbles or air leaks in the tank or hoses. Anything you can do to minimize that the better.

People either love that engine or hate it. Im not a huge fan of Axial. Have you checked out the STS .28 or the LRP Spec 3 .28? Pair that up with a JP 3 or 4 pipe and you will be all over the place!

My bro had the same problem so He took the pull starter off and rewound it by hand. Mabyee it isnt u. Mabyee it is the one way bearing.

i did that with my GST 7.7 and what you do is take the pull starter off and sort of toy with it. then if it looks good, put it back on and try it. if it still doesnt work, replace it

Yes, that will prime. Most cars do not have that though.

The idle method is still used and that is fine. It works for some. The top pros used to do the idle method and have since moved on to heat cycling which is what I describe in vid 5 and show in vids 6,7, and 8. Ultimately, the engine is your property and yours to do with as you please. There is a manual and the manufacturer describes their preferred methods. If you deviate from that then you could void the warranty, despite the pros recommendations, and it is your responsibility to choose.
