You are definitely a hero of mine. When dysphoria gets to me and things seem hopeless I usually get on YouTube and watch a couple of your vids. I'm a pre-everything transguy (except for the way I dress) and at 17 years old, it feels like a long way to freedom. I can't transition until I'm out of college (or my parents won't pay for school), and I can't afford to transition unless I go to college. Life's hard sometimes, you just have to look to the future for hope.
This is a good vid, I didn't really realize that you can get the stuff done all out of order. I would probably get hysterectomy first.. that way if i ever regretted it it wouldn't really be too much of an "oops"
Polysexual? Pan means all, and omni means all (in slightly different ways) but poly just means many and doesn't define in any particular way who those many are.
It's interesting that some transpeople, who by definition must think outside the box just to know their own gender identity, are the ones seeking to use or fit into a more narrow definition of gender. Your message (that every version is okay) is so obvious, yet it's like people (trans or not) need to hear it to realise it's true.
See you're pretty cool because you are genuine and you know how to just be yourself. You don't put other trans people down just because they are not trans the same way as other people. I think we have to stop the trans on trans hate and just love each other and be a community. Thanks for contributing to that. You're awesome!
How bizarre; I'm also a trans man and was diagnosed with aspergers as a young child. I have intense interests, as well, and I have been obsessive with film sometimes.
Your thoughts about the different types of transsexuals (which is basically endless) are very enlightening and very much on par with mine.
You have Asperger's, Charles? Me too! I've always wondered how the two (being trans and being an Aspie) are going to work out when I get further on in my life and transitioning. The two seem very similar to me in some regards (you know, feeling awkward and out of place, scared of being discovered and made fun of), and one has to become comfortable and proud of both (which I'm working on).
i do. it has been very interesting transitioning and at first feeling even more cut off from the world than i was and now being more educated about it, self aware, and therefore be able to handle it better.
hmm ok so a trans guy can be on T and not have a hysterectomy? cause I don't think I want to do that but I do what the clitoral release thing ma jig, think thats how far I'm willing to go bottom wise
I miss spelled community in my other comment because im half asleep it's 3:45 in the morning.BUT i feel you on the TRANSGIRLS.I Love women. im too much man to do the men.much love Bro.
if you ever killed yourself, that's the only sin you cant ask God forgiveness for.God loves you when no one else dose.Besides that you would be letting the hole trans comunity down by giving in to the enemy.Much love Bro.
B: this vid is awesome, thanks for actually doing something to demystify trans issues and the fact that, yeah, there's no one way
C: I'm a genderqueer male, I feel dysphoria in so many ways every day, and it took me a while to get used to and find a way to deal with it. I don't identify with either stringently-defined gender category, but I do identify with both men and women. This vid is really empowering, and hopefully not just for me and for you.
Good for you charles I'm a stonebutch exclusively attracted to femmes. But I think there's room enough for us all and have many friends of all stripes. I say if you're happy and don't hurt anyone good on you.
thanks. that was really awesome. i agree there is no 1 way to be trans. i didn't know you had aspergers. i'm glad you see it as a gift. i believe it is. i have ptsd and other issues but it has made me a better artist and stronger. keep up your good work. peace
you are a really great person...please don't ever think about hurting yourself...i like watching you because you because you have a really unique take on life!!!
Pansexual is the word you are looking for as to what you are. It means you love everyone who turns you on in some way regardless of what's in their pants or your pants. :) I know that because I'm that too.
Maybe I should reexamine my conceptions on pansexual. I'm not turned on be anything and everything either.
Something else I wanted to say is that I have Asperger's Syndrome too... the Syndrome that can be so freeing and suck so much all at the same time. Depending on the day.
You love people not necessarily thier gender or their gender idenity. Nothing wrong with that, I wish more people felt free to express themselves openly. I have a friend that is a straight man but loves to wear womens capri pants. I say let it hang and screw what others think. Most wish they could be that free with themselves and don't have the guts to do it. Keep the faith brother.
of course, dude. i think it needed to be said. so many guys new to transition worry so much about being macho and fitting what everyone considers to be male. they need not worry so much. :o)
Charlie I miss you so much :( You are such a great heart and you are extremely smart. You are a hero of mine because you are strong, brave, and hot! Love you :)
Hoo-Rah for the Trannyqueers! I agree with the whole who gives a fuck about gender, whoever I'm attracted to is who I'm attracted to. I barely see people for their gender, it doesn't matter as much to me.
Asperger's! I salute you sir. My sister has it (worse than you it seems, but I could be wrong) and that's a big enough burden to bear, without being trans as well. Really. Heavy respect.
Wow. That explains a lot. That's my life as long as I can remember after about age 7 or 8. Just had Therapy appt. and the doc already told me he is going to write a letter for my T. Maybe one day my mind and body will finally line up and the dysphoria will subside. IT has been a companion a long time. Thanks for clearing that up and thanks for sharing yourself with us.
I really have a great deal of respect for you, Charles. I am 56 - have health issues - Don't know if I will be able to take T..But I sure as hell want my chest gone. If that and nothing else, I would be ecstatic. If I were your age - I would go T, top and meto/hysto. But, like I said, my age and health work against me. Nice to hear someone in the community tell me I really do have choices. I know you have made my life much more positive. If that counts as a hero, you have my vote.
well said. why do anything if it's not you? thanks for posting this video. i think its incredibly important. and hang in there with the dysphoria. i know that things will get better for you.
You're awesome. <3 I plan on T, a double mastectomy, and a hysterectomy, but I don't ever plan on getting a phalloplasty. I'm happy you say that you can still be just as much as a man without having the SRS.
I have to say I'm jealous of you. Even with everything you go through, you're an...amazing human being. Lately, I've been so lost with myself. "What am I?" "Who am I?" I'm never comfortable with myself. I don't know what I'm trying to get at, but I'm thankful to watch your videos.
Wow, I had no idea you have Asperger's. That's awesome. I never would have guessed, given how naturally emotive and comfortable you seem in front of the camera.
Was that something you had to learn or did it just sort of happen over time? I only ask because I *may* have Asperger's, and I'm very stilted and uncomfortable on camera, even when I'm just recording for myself.
amen to the message in this video... it took me a few years to figure out that just being myself is ok. it happens in many marginalized subcultures... people think that they have to conform to the sub-group because they would otherwise be outsiders to that second degree. i didn't realize you have aspergers. there is a lady on here named nena that does a good vlog about her experiences being intersexed and having asperger's. human diversity in thought process is so beautiful.

yep, you can transition in pretty much any order you want. and you can go as far as you would like to, and you can even remain no-ho/lo-ho.
do what feels comfortable for you.

Now, you can feel grateful, because you are already who you wanted to be. So no more hurting yourself. n_n
