thats a pretty dumb question... if its not in gear what does it matter cause youll be sitting in nuetral.. rav4s have automatic 4x4.. meaning that it is rear wheel dive until one tire spins... then it automaticly locks the front hubs.........dumb ass driver

@gmax876 Si y le falta experiencia al volante y muchas practicas en Off-Road y una mejor neumáticos mixto como por ejemplo Pirelli S/T scorpion la que llevaba yo antes en mi Rav4 del año 98 y sin problemas..y le falta una mejor y sensible el volante mas pericia e inteligente (hay que hacer mas movimiento al volante y no solo de 1 dirección torcida) y comprobar 1 marcha más(en 2ª.. o max.3ª) para tener mas suave e inercia sin perder tracción ni resbalamiento sobre la marcha no parado un saludo.

@Mikerazul Там не постоянный полный. Постоянный полный привод это полная блокировка обоих дифференциалов, соответственно на все 4 колеса передаётся одинаковый крутящий момент. В этой машине электроникой управляется распределение на задний мост. Это уже не то...

Top speed is meaningless here mate. In mud you can only do way less than what you've quoted.

On this kind of terrain, having a proper 4X4 drive-train means hell a lot more. Off course the Rav4 doesn't have a proper system but @ least you can switch it to 4WD lock where's you can't on CRV.

On this terrain mate, a Suzuki Grand Vitara (Escudo) can beat both of them.
