Soldiers are coerced to join. They're bombarded by propaganda with no defense to give them the opposing view.
But yeah, soldiers are pawns. If they die, oh fucking well. Once you sign up you are no longer a person. You are cannon fodder. And believe it or not, most soldiers WANT to deploy. It doesn't matter where to, or why. The fact is, they make twice as much money when deployed and spend almost none of it AND don't have to pay taxes. Money moves mountains. They WANT to go, so let them.
First, I would like to thank you for serving The Country. this video was made quite some time ago, please keep in mind. I am not familer with what the military does, once your contract is up. For what I have read post wise, It is NOT RIGHT and I do not agree with what you guys say they do. As far as extending our contract or calling you back. Now your cost analysis comment....
I think someone should think about....what could happen by joining the military. If someone joins the military, but doesn't actually plan on like...helping out why join. Like I dont know, this is hard to try and convay my thoughts via youtube comment. I am sorry if this has offended you, and once again, Thank you.
I don't think we deserve to be used to fight and die for a war that was built on deception.
But regardless. Do you think that should be someones mind set say after 9-11? Or pearl harbor?
I personally think they should draft people like you. Why should I do my time and then get stop lossed or get called back after I'm OUT because to many people state side have your mentality? Just because the govt doesn't want the publicity nightmare.
So are you suggesting that everyone should do a cost benefit analysis of joining the military?
I mean if the majority of military canidates were to come to your conclusion. Where would that leave us?
I signed in the wake of 9-11. Now as resentful as I might be at the bush admin about Iraq. I think I signed under honorable pretenses.
I didn't sit and think how I could reap the college benefits, with minimal risk and have my little dream job. I thought doing something that I felt was impo...
I agree people were not being forced to sign up.However,my response goes to you and that SFC Moore who responded earlier a year ago!!As a former Army soldier I must tell you that despite this, the Army does not hold their end of the contract. Why are recruiters only going to poor people? Why does the Army implement the "stop loss" policy where a person cannot exit the military after expiration? Why are some not getting their educational benefits? So the "Army" needs to keep promises to recruits!!
i completley and totally agree with what you are saying =] AMEN brother. lol. and good for you for having the nerve to say it. You literally took the words right out my mouth, i have discussed this issue multiple times and its awesome to know that there is someone else out there who has a brain =)
i have spent 21 years in the army, and better word have never been spoken.I just got back from IRAQ and now teach ROTC at MSU.We meaning me am glad to pay the price and take the risks for an open minded young american like yourself. Thanks and god bless SFC Moore BLACKHOURSE
You took the middle road and that's fine with me, no flame here. You are correct, no one MADE anyone sign up.. it was free will, and yes the benefits are amazing. You are right, if someone signs they have to be prepared to be called on.
the only flaming you'll get from me is this....what is that thing hanging up on your coat hooks behind you with a pink strap? some sort of purse? later dude....wouldnt be a comment from me if i didnt pick apart something in the background or your lipstick...lol...see ya dude.
as i was watching i thought... hmm you can add a nice backdrop, maybe a green screen, and you can pretend like you are in diffrent places... like the zoo!
This green screen shit thats going around is lame as hell, taking that into consideration, I'm sure ill see some of it from you soon Adam...probally on a roller coaster :/
you make a valid point, no one HAS to be a part of the military...

You think your not connected to the middle east conflicts? Every time you pump gas in your car you connect yourself to it.
If you'd ever bother to read into it you'd see that.
