  • Lol, you can tell that randy was one of those guys who never played any sport but just stayed in his house practicing...lol look how skinny he is...but I guess you have to sacrifice something to get something else in return...

  • Wtf

  • This is the sound that Malmsteen has been looking for for 40 years

Shame we never got to see Randy reach his peak.

    This brilliant

  • Randy was under contract for an all Live Black Sabbath material album (later to be Speak of the Devil),, and one more studio album ,,then he was leaving Ozzy,, to go to U.C.L.A. to sudy classical guitar and to get a degree..

  • Is that Seed of Memory by Terry Reid?

  • I still listen to this song 5 times a day, the rhythm is great and Randy blows them away hahaha

  • It sounds really old to me. Must be Randy. I can tell because of the way he's trilling the strings he did on the Crazy Train solo.

  • Sounds like a slow version of Rocking Roll Hoocie Coo

  • omg its just have to be him, the only person beside randy who can create such a thing is god, and he doesnt upload his stuff to youtube so yeah its randy

dam this solo make me tingley in the brain

  • soundz like Randy Rhoads to Me...Where did you find this? Being a Fan of RR for over 30+ years this is Great...

  • How tall was randy ? Like 5 foot 3 or something ?

  • @flubno I think Randy was a little guy, maybe around 5'5" with heels but he was a MASSIVE musician nevertheless! It doesn't matter how big or small you are, as long as you can play and rock out. Have you ever heard of Angus and Malcolm Young?

  • I would love to see somebody make tabs for this :)

  • Sounds like Randy to me, complete with the Mick Ronson influences, shown here...he didn't always show that side of his playing, but did this day.

  • @leebegeebee1 No that riff is distinctly 100 percent Jake E Lee

  • Wow, so if he's 15 here, that means he was doing tapping stuff in the early 70's. Cool!

  • Yeah, that's Randy. Unbelievable at 15. Blew the other guy away!

  • I believe it's Randy at 1:19, at 1:29 you can also hear a very typical vibrato in the style of Randy, also listen to the raw sound of that guitar. I'm sure this is Randy.

  • @ZolleriuxX I agree, that section sounds like Randy

  • O The OLD DAYS Miss them !! Going Home to Cali Soon )--->

  • Yeah I think it's him. I hear the Mountain influence, which he had stated, and his early chunky tone. Great playing for 15!~

  • fake

  • is that only improvisation or its in quiet riot?

  • The only man that gave eddie van halen a serious run for his money!!!

  • @deathinfatuated The only one that Kicked His Ass.....

  • the solo is full of blues but .. the main riff is rock n roll im pretty sure

  • He was sooooo talented... there will never be another Randy Rhoads out there.

Is there somebody who can tell me where I can find all those really old pictures of Randy and Quiet Riot? I have never seen them before and can't find them anywhere but they are really intresting...

  • Nice of someone to take all my photos and use them for this)not!

  • Randy Did Not get paid well at all at his Top pay, he was paid a mere $1,000 a week...& Mrs Rhoads owns Randy's name & all aspects of it, copy writes, & mechanics...meaning all, that has signature is on...that's what they went to court to battle out almost 30 years ago, Delores won.

  • There is no way of verifying this is real... Doesn't really sound like Rhoads....

  • @murronius then you dont know Randy Playing very well. hIs vibrato easily recognizable

  • @fortress66 ...I didnt recognise it. This is rubbish.

  • @fortress66 You know, somebody could easily mimic his vibrato and you wouldn't even know it.

  • @Loqquer That is WAY harder to do than one would think. A vibrato is almost like a fingerprint, you can get close but your OWN vibrato tends to come to the forefront. A person would almost have to dedicate their entire life to just doing just that one thing to successfully pull it off.

  • @fortress66 Slides, hammer ons, vibrato, 99% likely its Randy

  • @murronius I can tell right away when Randy starts playing!

  • @murronius Dude, that is soooo Randy. No joke.

  • @murronius the comment below you is very right, that was how this is diferent from alot of other blues solos

  • 15 yo .. mazin talent, very tricky piece

  • This is awesome but I can't find part two.

  • cool

  • People always talk about "imagine what the next Ozzy album would have been like". Well according to Randy there wasn't ever going to be another Ozzy album with him playing on it. He was ready to move on to do solo work that was keyboard based rock but never got that chance. So if there was a next album it was going to be something entirely different anyways. So as far as Ozzy songs we never got to hear, well there never was any more planned so we got all the Ozzy songs we were going to get.

  • @petedogg369 yeah i heard that he was going to go to a university for something probably to teach music but i was i coul have met him because he influenced me to play guitar

  • @petedogg369 actually he was quiting to get a classical musical degree at UCLA

  • @MurderNun You are right on that too. He was going to do that and do keyboard based rock in his next band also.

  • @petedogg369

Not really sure that would have actually happened though, you hear musicians say stuff like that all the time. But in all reality, they realize they are making too much money to leave the band. I think Randy would have spent a little time in school, and then made another album with Ozzy....

  • @ESPsandEmgs unfortunately randy and his bandmates were just hired hands, randy wrote most of the music but ozzy owned the rights and it was his band.

randy got paid well as well as got good royalty's from it but at the time of his death he was the hottest guitarist on the planet next to maybe eddie van halen and i am sure he could have went on to make a ton of more cash on his own and i am sure at the time of his death he was doing quite well.

  • @petedogg369 i believe randy was pursueing a degree in classical music as well as he loved teaching music and that is what he planned on eventually leaving ozzy to do.

  • do you know this to be a fact or are you assuming?

  • @thedorkfinder its a fact

  • @petedogg369 Actually they would record the third (and last) album with RR after Diary of a madman world tour. this album would be called "Speak of the Devil". Rudy Sarzo said.

  • @petedogg369 "People always talk about "imagine what the next Ozzy album would have been like". Well according to Randy there wasn't ever going to be another Ozzy album with him playing on it. So as far as Ozzy songs we never got to hear, well there never was any more planned so we got all the Ozzy songs we were going to get."

He would have discovered this band in San Francisco and Kirk Hammett would still be playing in Testament. >.<

  • @Maidentallideth Kirk Hammett was in Exodus not Testament. -___-

  • @petedogg369 "anyways" "anyways" Who know what would of happened, words are just words whether there from Randy's mouth or from your keyboard as you type stupid made up words like "anyways".. "anyways" "anyways"...

  • @petedogg369 very wrong, yes randy was to quit, but he still was locked in a contract, which still held him to another album and tour. plus his mom even said that he was sketching a new album out with ozzy, so there ya go. and he was only going to quit do to stress from the road, mabye somtime when he was well good and rested he would have joined ozzy for another album or two in the 90s, the point is that randy would have left he could. but he couldnt

  • @petedogg369 "He was ready to move on to do solo work that was keyboard based rock but never got that chance" This is incorrect. he wanted to go to school and get a degree in classical guitar, not do solo work. Possibly in the future maybe but he wanted to study music.

  • @petedogg369 This somehow makes me feel better. lol

  • @petedogg369 Read Rudy Sarzo's Off the Rails book . If that asshole pilot

flew as good as Randy played . Ozzy and Randy would have in the Land of Oz over

the rainbow world definitely played together again , No if's ands or buts about it .

He just needed a break from Ozzy's drugged out lunacy . Friends remain friends .

  • who really cares that is nice music at any age.

  • its not fake. One easy hint is the usage of vibrato in the spots and way its done.

No one to date can emulate randys unique vibrato. the closest person who can is Zack wylde.

  • You just know why Ozzy loved this guy like a brother! He was a one off!!!!!!

  • his mom taught him classical music, growing up they owned a music store, imagine the shit he would of done he he was still around!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow at 15 he was better than most adults..we miss you Randy!!

  • I never knew Randy was influenced by blues, I though more Rock, and of course Classical...

  • what song are they playing specifically?

  • I wish we had more foot live video footage of Randy ;-(

  • the legeend that is randy rhoads god bless buddy all theese years and your still missed every day

  • Well i don't know if this is fake or not but you have to admit that it is amazing

  • cool man,I love listening to this older stufff, give me chills alot of the times

  • Thanks for the upload

  • tears to soul (never needed ozzy)

  • Dammit.

  • thank you so much for putting this up

  • Randy was my hero growing up and inspired me to become a accomplished fingerstyle guitarist. I thought I had seen all the rare footage out there , but I haven't seen this before! I would have killed to have this 25 years ago.

Kudos you brought back many great memories

  • Randy was god of the guitarists!

  • W H E E R E is this songs tabs dude,ilove this fucking song,ilove fucking this shit <3<3<3<<3

  • Who ever posted this is welcome in my house anytime they like.what an e

Unexpected treat. Hats off to you and hats off to St.Randy

  • I remember hearing something about these recordings ages ago. Nice to finally be able to hear them.

  • It's interesting, on Blizzard and diary Randy plays with 0 blues sound...

  • well whoever is playing this proud a you

  • Metal (with Ozzy), pop rock/normal rock (Quiet Riot) and now the blues!! What a versatile guitarist. That's why Randy's my fav guitarist. (btw in his last interview RR mentions wanting to play jazz and fusion.)

  • @guitarrguyy1 don't forget classical, or neo-classical!

  • I can hear some of his glen buxton influence here

  • Randy was rhythm guitarist in a band. Does he play the rhythm here or the solo?

  • I had never realized how much Hendrix was an influence on Rhoads but you can clearly hear it in this track. In my opinion this is some of his best playing I've heard.

  • your stuck in your youth. get out

  • Definately Randy Rhoads! He can't be imitated!

  • sounds very Zappa, especially the leads

  • thats randy man duh. not that its easily recognizable but kinda its wierd. ive never heard this. u could tell thats randy though. the trills r so unmistakable. its pretty melodic even though u could tell he wasnt as familiar with the modes. i just read ur comnt and randy utilized blues alot even in his later recordings. he just fused it with metal. alot of people dont realize the blues is the building block for metal. metal is just blues with speed and the halfsteps in between

  • thats randy man duh. not that its easily recognizable but kinda its wierd. ive never heard this. u could tell thats randy though. the trills r so unmistakable. its pretty melodic even though u could tell he wasnt as familiar with the modes.

  • The general public never knew Randy played blues. I listen to this piece, if in fact it is Randy, and I can honestly say he can play blues guitar as good as Duane Allman and Clapton. Randy was just a freak. There probably other gebres that he was a master at that we don't know about.

  • Randy was born to be a guitar God , even after all thsi time he´s still giving the chills in everyone out there , he´ll be recognized as a master composer on the next century , i ´ve no doubt about it !!

  • @VanishaGlamChick6 - you said it man... it does give me the chills.

  • Ozzy said it best on the Don't Blame Me video - If you were to try and manufacture a rock star in your mind.......Randy Rhoads!

  • (LIGHTS UP A LIGHTER) FIRE TRIBUTE \m/ -_-

may he rock out with the dead!!!!

  • Thanks for sharing this! The first time I heard Mr. Crowley, I said man! I gotta learn to do that! I was moved greatly that's for sure. I love Randy Rhoads!

  • I knew Randy was a great blues player. You can tell from some of his solos (like You Can't Kill Rock 'n Roll.but to hear him actually play it is unbelievably cool. I knew he had to have been a good blues .I didn't realize he was a GREAT blues players. Kelly, please release everything you have on Randy! This is the age of the internet. You can let everyone hear it without jumping through music industry hoops.

I want to hear ALL Randy stuff, even if hit's him playing the Ukulele at age 5.

  • wow, great

  • i like the picture at 0:54. He's a teen, drinking. lol

  • @elvisdustin Eh, back then you could drink at 18.

  • Thank you for posting this you have just made one of the biggest Randy Rhoads fans happy.

  • theres a picture of him with kelly garni

  • When it first came on I thought he was playing at the beginning, but then when the second guitar came along I said nope. That's a fucking Rhoads bend/vibrato. Was he tapping already at 15? That would have been way before EVH. Or was that just hammer ons and pull offs? Either way, sounds pretty beastly.

  • this aint fake ive heard this before somewhere! It's Randy.

  • is amazing to be 15years,

maybe is cuz there wasnt facebook, video games, media crap.... those times , and times ppl could focus really good on things like play guitar

is really hard to see a kid of 15 years playing so taste like that, today

  • Yup it is real. I have a copy of this from Kelli Garni himself. It was given to people who helped with some donations. I still have the letter and envelope he sent with the dvd.

  • 2000 views? what n the hell

  • 1:49 hey lady don't look randy's boobies!

  • he sounded a bit like clapton in his earlier years

  • Wow! The bastard was *always* a shredder! Man, what a tasteful player! Really sucks that we lost him so young. Imagine the shit he would have given us after Diary!!! Such a class act!

  • @thephilth bastard???

    have some respect man

  • @metalryche5150 --- You obviously stopped reading after the word *bastard* and have failed to notice the rest of my post! I learned the guys guitar lines note-for-note... that in and of itself is grounds for respect! My post wasn't meant as any disrespect in any sense of the word... please refrain from posting things on the internet that you don't quite understand. In your defense, I'll just go 'head and say it's safe to assume there's gotta be a language barrier since you didn't *get* my post.

  • @thephilth i didn't mean to offend sorry

  • @metalryche5150 ---- not offended whatsoever, no worries brother, it's all good! My apologies for the slight misunderstanding!

  • @thephilth he was planning to take a break with ozzy after the tour or something because he was into classical music and he would play with his mother classical music and he would play guitar and she would play piano

  • if your a Rhoads fan, than you would notice his style

  • Ive only heard of this tape for years & years where did it Leak from???I was to believe only like 3-5 people had it??

  • It's definitely legit Rhoads. Garni released this on a little collectors DVD a few years back on RR.TK

  • I don't know...I think its fake.

  • @vladstaroth82 poor you, its not fake. This particular audio come from Kelly garni. He has alot of stuff with Randy but he dont want to release all the stuff freely. He was talking about making a proper release of all this stuff but it was a couple of years ago and no news since..

  • @fortress66 I can believe it. I moved to L.A. from the Bay Area back in '89 and a couple of years later I met a bassist that was friends with the Rhoads family. I remember at his place I had a question about Randy which turned out to be one that he was interested in also and he acutally called Randy's mother right in front of me to ask her about it. Afterwards I got the privilege to listen to some of his tapes of Randy's playing not just at the clubs but just messing around/rehearsing.

  • @MegaDyneSystemsExe point being that there are people back in those days that simply decided to record Randy's playing because they simply loved his playing.

  • @fortress66 for those not in the know, kelly garni was quiet riots original bassist (who went on to become a paramedic)

  • @fortress66

    Kelly Garni is hella cool!

  • @fortress66 because he is Randy's biological brother.

  • @metallicaboy123 huh?? that answer was for ???

  • Also, listen to the second audio clip i did post (part 2). If you know Randy well, you know its him who play at the beginning. His style is easily recognizable

  • dude where did you find this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @baconstealer1 read my answer on the other reply

  • @fortress66 oh thanks alot bro, I hope kelly releases this stuff

  • @fortress66 Thanks a lot my friend. The picture at 1:30 remember me good times (sorry for my english)

  • Thanks for sharing. I enjoy watching any video of Randy Rhoads
