Like-Likes don't swallow Link himself, but his tunic and his shield. You kill it and get your stuff back. The Kokiri Tunic isn't the kind of tunic that Like-Likes like.

Well, not swallow, but they do eat him temporarily, then spit him out. And I hate having to go buy more tunics because of those damn things.
