  • Awesome video, and whats the name of the first music?....anyone?...thanks.

  • I want humanity to rule the entire Galaxy!

  • There is now a clear explanation for the absence of other civilizations in the Universe.

The Creator has posted a video on YouTube. The message comes to you directly, without the need for transcription or interpretation by iron-age scribes, or analysis by Stephen Hawking.

The video tells you how you came to be here, outlines the meaning and purpose of your life, and gives you an insight into the future of humankind.

See ' God says sorry. '

  • @lacontrabasse I just returned after watching the God says sorry video. very good indeed. Whatever ones opinion it was really worth watching.

  • I wish people would realize there is no higher power. The only real higher power is nature. Nature can be really nice one time and the next time nature will be really fucking mad.

Religions were just ideas created by tribes thousands of years ago.

They were created so they could explain what life is to there kids. They created it so themselves and their children can live in a more simple world.

  • @BuddyxEric Religion wasinvente by man but God wasn't. God =the universe -not that hard to figure out. There are infinite was to experience God and of describing it. Some understand it through quantum physics and cosmology, some like to experience it as an electromagnetic pulse (love), some as a very personal and loving relationship, they have conversations with it as if it is a person. God the is infinite, your human perception can see its physical manifestation all around you.

  • I tell you where eveybpody is: "they terminated each other" just like here on earth. funny how the song holds the answer ot the video

  • I know that God exist. I have seen Him

no amount of atheism can change that

  • @baznet How did he look? like Mr Bean perhaps?

  • @baznet did you take a picture? Get some video footage perhaps?

  • @baznet You are both correct. His idea of God may not exist but God its self is all that does exist. How can you experience something which you do not believe exists?

  • no one knows if god exist, so their is no logical reason to argue about it. no one can prove or disprove god's existence. until otherwise, what reason do you have to argue about it, besides trying to force your own believes on others.

  • @Dcookies100 if you havn't see Him then you dont know

  • @baznet he doesn't exist , come on ;)

  • WHATS THE SONG IN THE BEGINING PLSSS

  • @fuckyeah149 So lazy that you cant even go through some pages of comments?.. OnT: The Last Of The Mohicans is the song.

  • love t he last mohican song matches the knowldge :)

  • how is the song called in 02:50 ???? :o

  • What about planets with water under the ice with volcanic activity to supply energy. We find life in deep in our own oceans in similar conditions. I think life will not be too hard to find, the question is will we ever find intelligent life?

  • Why is this damn crack head keep posting Bible quotes? God doesn't exist moron.

  • @Dcookies100 Nod.

  • @Dcookies100 yah he does and he needs your money!

  • @MoobsAlwaysFumbles Lol I hope you being sarcastic. That would be hilarious.

  • @Dcookies100 ok, im not a believer, but what proof do you have that makes you 100% sure that god dosent exist

  • @zenoparodie Because almost everything on this world is scientifically explained. Nothing has been found with divine powers, and Jesus existed... but was just a power. Just an ordinary person like you and I.

  • @Dcookies100 that still dosent proove that god dosent exist, i can perfectly say that god created those laws

  • @zenoparodie How could someone exist before there is nothing? Answer me that (P.S Don't be a naive Christian and try to turn the question around please.)

  • @zenoparodie what proof is there that he does exist? what trace is there left behind? religion is a fake. religion is the most successful scam in history. just because somebody wrote a book doesn't make it true. thousands of people continue to be scammed into religion. be rational, these astronomical theories at least have proof of correctness. if you want to talk about god and religion go somwhere else, us astronomers dont want to hear it.

  • @heretohelpyou221 lol your an astronomer?

sounds too stupid to me, are you an atheist or an agnostic?

  • @zenoparodie im actually a forensics scientist, the mere thought of astronomy fascinates me, and it repeatably annoys me that you religious fanatics insist on infecting this nice videos with your unrational beliefs.

  • @heretohelpyou221 im agnostic you idiot, and you still dont have the slightest proof god dosent exist, you probably are some 12 year old

  • @zenoparodie my apologies then, i assumed you weren't, yet there is no proof god does exist. i will not leak my age to those that are online but i can say im far from 12.

  • @heretohelpyou221 there is no proof god does or dosent exist, so think before you call tony darnell a crack head or a moron

  • @zenoparodie you are mistaken, i believe every word Tony Darnell has said throughout his videos, he is a intelligent man i have had the honer in working with him a few years back. i never said anything that can be taken as offensive toward tony. yet there is no need for you to use offensive language towards me, it is completely unprofessional.

  • @heretohelpyou221 unprofessional? lolwtf what does it have to do wih this xD ?

well, about the insult thing i suggest you look at your first comment, also its honor not honer, and honor OF woring with not in, are you a native speaker?

  • @zenoparodie my first comment was towards you, i assumed you were some religious fanatic. not toward tony. and no, i am not a native speaker, but i do make mistakes, we are all human. there would be no need to look back upon your comments and correct your incorrect grammar as well. you last comment has incorrect grammar and a few fragment i have no interest in pointing out. as of now i have no further time to argue with a teenager about a piety topic.

  • @heretohelpyou221 LOL i thought i was speaking to the other gay all the way through lol sry XD

    p.s. your still gay

  • @zenoparodie you didn't realize you were talking to him? haha "heretohelpyou221" happens to be a well respected scientist in NE side of america... hahah goodjob... id watch my mouth when talking to that man if i were you. haha funny though.

  • @TheAlfawolf200 nope, i meant i was talking to Dcookies100, also, there is no need to make another profile and pretend your a scientist

  • @zenoparodie haha i diddnt make another account, im his nephew, he was telling me about some religious teenager that was trying to talk shit to him... haha but my uncle really is a scientist thou.

    p.s. your still gay :)

  • @TheAlfawolf200 LOL, YOU ARE FUCKING RIDICOOUS; GO GET A JOB PLZZZZ, LOL, cant believe there are idiots of this magnitude in youtube

  • @zenoparodie your a perfect example.

  • @TheAlfawolf200 your mother is

  • @zenoparodie kid grow up. how old is that comeback?

  • @TheAlfawolf200 12 hours now

  • @TheAlfawolf200 You mean YOU'RE a perfect example, not "your a perfect example."

  • @zenoparodie ...you're a scientist, not "your."

  • @goldenthroat86 not trying to be a smartass anyway u nerd

  • @zenoparodie You can't call someone a nerd if they are corrcting you.

  • @AlbinJi correcting not corrcting you ignorant fuck, and dont call me a nerd then, im only correcting you

  • Comment removed

  • @AlbinJi understimate you? and why did you remove the comment? lol, you dont even know, me yet you call me a "fool", now please go fuck yourself you indian idiot

  • @Dcookies100 hs an idiot

  • @Dcookies100 Because God Fearing people enjoy too much the murder and destruction of the human race.

That's a hard thing to give up.

  • @Dcookies100

    God doesn't exist?

Who told you that? A scientist? LOL do you have any proof that God does not exist?...moron.

  • @oldi184 I don't have the strength to give evidence, since it's 11:21 Pm as I post this... so I answer your question with a question. Where is your proof that god DOES exist?

  • @Dcookies100

Listen. I cant give you "physical"(because this is what u want) proof same as you cant give me proof that God does not exist.

You see World/or Universe where we live is something more than matter/physical, something that we cant touch or measure.

For example. How can you explain Ghosts? They are. Many many people seen them. My mom seen one and my grandmother also long ago.

She saw many ghosts after the WW2 near Auschwitz where Nazis killed many many people.

  • @oldi184 I know you can't give me evidence 'cause there isn't any. I can give you proof like how could something exist before nothing? If that's the case, "God" would be making the universe in complete darkness. I saw that because during NOTHING, there are no stars... meaning no light. Science can not explain ghost, but Atheist don't make stuff up like Christians/Catholic etc. do. Maybe we will be able to explain ghost in the future... but for now no.

  • @Dcookies100 is this keeping, or does keep, your sentece is wrong, is keep posting isnt english

  • @Dcookies100 GOD DOES EXIST YOU WILL SEE WHEN YOU'RE BURNING IN HELL

  • @MrNyne52 Piss off with the "my god has a bigger dick than yours!" games already!

  • @MrNyne52 no he doesn´t exist moron!!!

  • @Dcookies100 Get over yourself.

  • “Say: ‘If all mankind and the jinn would come together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce its like even though they exerted all and their strength in aiding one another.’” (17:88)

  • people brag about inventions, especially space and aviation vehicles. if ufo's are man made we would know who the inventors are.

  • I love that music

  • @trickycandyfloss I understood your comment perfectly. I was merely replying to the one sentence where you speculate that human might be the most advanced beings in the galaxy. I agree wholly with what you say after that. You are an intelligent person, but you really need to learn that when someone has a different opinion then you that doesn't mean they are wrong, and it certainly doesn't mean you have to react with hostility... Class dismissed :)

  • @Trickycandyfloss The likelihood of us being the most intelligent species in the galaxy is slim. even if there were only three or four more intelligent species in the galaxy, in all probability they would be vastly more advanced then the human race. Think about it like this. Humans have had only 40,000 years to evolve, or 70,000 if you want to include everything that walked on two legs. 70,000 years is only a small blip on the universal timeline.

  • People could be 1000 times more ahead. It all depends on how and where we spend the money and resources. So far on greedy people, fighting long wars, rich people building palaces and casinos. Rewarding rich people with all kinds of benefits all the while cutting Nasa's funding. People have what they have thanks to America and its policies. They should be humble and pay their fair share and leave Nasa out of budget cuts.

  • in my opinion we are the most advanced in the milky way...we could be so much more if we educated and spent money wisely. Human greed keeps us stupid, the fact some want everything and leaving nothing for research and education. Look what nasa has done with the little they get and shrinking. Imagine if America was not so broke and dedicated much much more.

  • Be able to sweep across the galaxy is an absurd comment.

That is like saying an ant born in Canada should be able to make it to africa. How come we have never seen any canadian anst in africa, they should be everywhere!!

Your comment does not take into consideration the extreme difficulty in covering the distances involved.

  • @Midnightrambler3760 and humans relate to ants how?

  • With the potentla to start life...as we know it.

Who is to say on other planets there are not life forms that have developed and breathe methane or hydrogen or any other gas?

  • if our planet is 4 milliard years old and the universe is 12 than you simply do 12:4=3 so the aliens near the big bang must be 3 times smarter than us

  • @Trickycandyfloss quote: ''Who's to say that we aren't the most advanced civilization in the Milky Way so far.''

    ? :o

  • the animation is wrong our system formed from the gases of a supernova. The supernova it self did not remain & form our sun.

  • @Trickycandyfloss Doesn't the sarcasm strike you in the face? I make a comment to a post of yours on YOUTUBE where the video is titled LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE! Big shocker that people who are interested in a discussion on that topic make comments!

Your reaction is to insult me and in all other respects act like an ass. And all that after you write a message about how humanity should stop fighting with each other and grow up.

Who is the troll here? Anyway I'm done. Goodbye

  • @Trickycandyfloss Oh you really are just an asshole who has nothing to say. My bad. Goodbye!

  • @Trickycandyfloss Wow, who pissed in your coffee?

What I say holds true. We know nothing about other intelligent species, so you can assume all you want.

It also seems that you still got some "growing up" to do as you mentioned in the post I replied to, since you lash out at me for no reason other than disagreeing with the point you made.

  • @Trickycandyfloss Who is to say that alien civilizations, so they exist, will be so different from us? Or maybe they don't care about war or peace at all and have totally different ideals that are completetly alien to us. The fact is that we do not know. I find it a fallacy to project our values on the universe and expect them to hold up for eveything.

  • @Trickycandyfloss who said we ARE the most advanced civilization? dont be over-optimistic...:)

  • @ 4:02 yeah we should. but we're not. So wtf already. Can we atleast mine for materials in some a these "Shit-planets" in our own solar system, there of got to be some sort'a goodies on these other planets.

  • I think looking at humanity it may be that intelligent life is a cosmic joke.

It destroys itself by overpopulation, consuming all resources, leading to the collapse of it's civilization. By ecological catastrophe, by nuclear and chemical wars.

Or it could be that intelligent life and especially technology is much rarer then people assume.

Or that interstellar travel is entirely unfeasible even for the most advanced civilizations.

  • @TheSkunkCat

It could also be that planets the right size are rare. That just a little smaller then the earth or just a little bigger, just doesn't work. That superearths naturally become venusses and small earths don't have a strong enough magnetic field.

It could be that life doesn't arise as easily as people think in spite of how fast it did here. Or that life rarely makes it past the microbial stage.

Aliens maybe are so rare no two species will ever meet.

  • @TheSkunkCat

Fact is, for all we really know 99.999% of the galaxy could be dead as a doornail. And intelligent life could be so rare that it only occurs once for every thousand galaxies. (In which case there are still billions of civilizations just nowhere even NEAR us.)

  • exactly, they might be very different case some beings are plants they use air and light to generate water. realities are very different in space

  • They're blocked contrary to the law and all rules

  • there is nobody apart from us in the universe.thats just a hoax.politicians ,scientists are fooling people into believing all that nonsense to enrich themselves.

  • @kessenkool such a narrow minded simpleton you are sir

  • ya know how in futurama they have space gas stations and orbiting restaurants and funeral homes. i believe that is basicaly reality in another part of this universe. there jsut has to be something like that somewhere out there.

  • @cpk9999 lol me too

  • Well now, maybe "we" are it! Now thats scary.

  • I do enjoy science videos. I simply wish that elementary level science would stop being re-taught and more advanced science be delved into. For instance, Luminescent Distancing. General Relativity. String Theory. Just wishing that the fact water boils on planets too close to their star would be put to bed. Every "Science Channel", "Discovery Channel" are guilty of not letting their viewers advance in this respect. There is a void to be filled.

I mean no ill criticism to this up-loader at all.

  • excuse me mr. narrator sir,for life to occur there must be water, THAT'S ON HUMAN STANDARDS, human life. we are not talking about human life are we?

  • @nightthunder11 Good point, but still as far as we know, life needs water : D But who knows, maybe they're not even carbon-based lifeforms ^^

  • This planet Earth is under quarentine.

  • Great Video. But I think I may have an answer as to where everybody may be. There are millions possibly billions of different species on earth yet how many actually want or have the means to go into space looking for other life. Simple answer to this only one. All other creatures on earth probably don't even care or want to know about what is out there. They just do what they do. But we humans do care. I believe there is life out there but its OUR job to find it. Because no one else will.

  • @BigT69694321 So to Continue what i was saying. Where is everybody? Well seems to me that they are there but for one we just haven't found anyone or anything yet. Also they probably don't even know other planets exist. Not saying that intelligent life isn't out there. I'm just saying intelligent life may be very rare and hard to come by. Also if they are out there which I'm sure somewhere they are. They are just way too far and may not have the means yet to contact us.

  • @BigT69694321 Now, I think that anybody who doesn't think that other intelligent life lives out in the cosmos is looney, not the other way around.

  • @Rafael94b the Last of the Mohicans man lol

  • You're all nerds. You're not making any sort of legitimate statement by posting your views on aliens or religion in the comments of a YouTube video. Those who call yourselves atheists preach the same tired BS that religious people do.

  • @Lindzeeface learn science bozo before posting anything. Do you even understand what a spectrometer is?

  • Hi, write "logical evidences for Islam" and watch it

    Why is there One Creator?

    Why is there a religion?

Why Islam is the true religion?

  • Where are they? What justifies the assumption that if they exist they would have either the means or inclination to contact us?

Perhaps if they exit and they matured technologically, they have also matured socially, and see the value in not interfering in development of others, so that they learn to be patient, cooperative and rational as well as powerful and fast.

We are never alone in the universe, we just stay out of each others' way.

  • goldilocks zone..not too warm, not too hot, just rite

  • @Rafael94b No, the Last of the Mohicans.

  • Wow, many thanx!

    Changed my life!

  • We are probably in the rural area of the galaxy were nothing much is happening while the center is the big city...so to speak.

  • Beautiful video. I believe the Universe is full of life. However, if we consider the distance between stars. Calculate the necessary conditions and technology to travel at the speed required to overcome the millions of years between worlds. It simply could be that civilisations have fallen and other species become extinct. Look how long it has taken humans to evolve to space flight. It is conceivable the reason no other races have found us is because the conditions aren't yet right.

  • Always an excellent film!! Thanks for posting it. BUT, if you're looking for "life in outer space", you need not go zillions of light years away now. As all one needs to do, is Google ' solar obliteration ' sometime. Even NASA knows this. THEY LIVE, in the Skies!! Peace.....

  • Braveheart?... I thought it was "Last of the Mohicans"?

  • @kmatchers you are right! ;)

  • Also, interstellar travel has many more problems than considered here. At one thousandth the speed of light, it would take thousands of years just to get from one star to the next, only to find no planets there.. That's 30, maybe 100 generations living their lives in the spaceship. Roughly the time since the birth of Christ. One heck of a spaceship!

  • Excellent film and thanks for posting. . It really makes the question shout out loud! . But one possible explanation for the paradox is sadly that the lifespan of a civilisation is very short due to warfare, disaster, disease, predation or just good old murphy's law. Nothing lasts for ever.

  • ummm...no, Try again. Last of the Mohicans

  • @Trickycandyfloss i honestly couldn't agree more. As humans we still have this mentality thats it's neccessary to fight. Once or if we ever can get over this and use all that energy on something more productive, then we can acheive some great things and potentially meet aliens.

  • Goddammit I want to go across the galaxy :(.

  • @MSandPD Me too. ):

  • @MSandPD

    Me too!

  • @MSandPD

Damning God will not get you there.

  • @MSandPD me too, lets build a ship.

  • @MSandPD i'd love to be a space pirate or a space adventurer.

  • @MSandPD Youshould chek out ratchet and clank man ;)

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SONG IN THE BEGGINING????? PLEEEAASE SOMEONE TELL ME

  • @R0ugeProductions its from 'Last of the Mohicans' thats all i remember. I'm sure you can find out by googling it

  • This video is going on the fact that we are being told the truth, when infact we are not and are obviously being lied to, they're here and have been here a long time , maybe even before us, the most intelligent and inspiring thing ive heard someone say was you have to think as space as more like our ocean, pretty hard for most people to swallow

  • maybe we were wrong. we only looking for a planet that could harboring life just like earth. maybe out there, there's a planet as big as jupiter and consist of liquid hot sulfur yet harboring life. and maybe they even have intelligent and dominant species like humans.

  • I believe life is prevalent all over the Universe, but intelligent(if that's what we are) life was such a series of events and an incredible amount of coincidences that had to happen for it to be common.

  • SPACEFLIGHT AND RELIGION:

.. and details issues such as how to pray in a low-gravity environment, how to locate Mecca from the ISS, how to determine prayer times, and issues surrounding fasting. The orbit of the ISS results in one day/night cycle every 90 minutes, so the issues of fasting during Ramadan are also addressed. The guidebook will be translated into Russian, Arabic, and English. Google Sheikh Muszaphar

  • SPACEFLIGHT AND RELIGION:

"Since Sheikh Muszaphar is a Muslim, and as his time in space coincided with the last part of Ramadan, the Islamic National Fatwa Council drew up the first comprehensive guidebook for Muslims in space. The 18-page guidebook is titled "Guidelines for Performing Islamic Rites (Ibadah) at the International Space Station". Google Sheikh Muszaphar (continued...)

  • So we're it. And we ourselves are stuck on this one planet. All part of the ground crew. Not going anywhere.

  • @Rafael94b No, "Last of the Mohicans". Great music! The Cheiftan's, I think.

  • @Rafael94b Last of the Mohicans.

  • music sucks

  • This video is very wrong in one thing: Why do everyone assume that aliens are so advanced that can travel faster than the speed of light? or a 1000 times faster? What if the speed light becomes a barrier even for the most advanced civilizations and so they just decide that taking over a galaxy is impossible and just stay in their own neighborhood?

Again, we humans are still babies at trying to think about this complex things, we shouldn't say that anything is a fact, we're just too young yet.

  • @raisen90timpa This video is not wrong in assuming. Mostly because the speed of light is not even reached. They talk on traveling at 1000st of the speed of light. That`s 300km a second. Whereas the speed of light is 300,000km a second ( roughly). At that speed, it takes about 1000 years to travel to the next solar system. So that`s the paradox, because even at that speed, it would take 100,000,000 years to colonize a galaxy. Still not long, in retrospect to the 13bln years.

  • Ah yeah they'res 1 other

  • I would say that the pattern for all evolving life is probably the same. Evolve, learn language, over populate, live out of balance with nature. Then either crash and die or crash and go back to living in harmony with nature and stop trying to expand. By the time a species can travel anywhere or send signals, it is on the brink. The window for communication is so small when talking in terms of millions of years. Given that no one out there could detect us, how could we detect them anyway?

  • @jaykulls Hehe nice point. However, after that first "collapse", would it not be reasonable to assume that they want to expand and colonize other habbitable planets? Nature on our planet has the need to grow, trees, population, et cetera. Is it not reasonable to assume other civilisations will want to do the same? Then again, you still face the communication problems. Evolution is probably different, communications might be totally different then what we expect it to be.

  • @leonheartdsl The way I see it all intelligent life would be about the same intelligence. Given that the evolution process would slow down once almost any member of the species could survive and reproduce. Once the 'crash' happened, there would be a loss of technology and populations would reduce, eliminating the need to travel somewhere else. My point really is though that life prob is all over the universe, just not nesseccarily at the same time and near enough to each other.

  • @jaykulls Nice point once again, however, if a species had the ability to survive, would it not be in nature`s best interest to grow once more? Taking a simple timetable and let`s give it a rough estimate of hm let`s say say 1000 years, they would once again reach the point where colonies are a viable option. And, if other species are like ourselves ( not physically or anything ) wouldn`t they to want to explore the galaxies? Also, we always have a backup system, in case, wouldn`t they too?

  • @leonheartdsl I think they concept of growth, would kill the civilisation over and over again.

I read an interesting book that talked about this subject. In order for us to detect life out there, they would need to be deliberately sending a signal out into space, exactly in our direction. Since we landed on the moon, we havnt even made it to mars, let alone the 4 light years necessary to get to the nearest star. There are too many factors yet to solve.

  • @jaykulls I won`t agree to that. So many factors to consider, yeah. I was not even challenging the fact we won`t find alien life in the near future. However, if life in the universe ( biochemistry, water ) evolves in to an intelligent species, I do believe they`ll start looking if they`re not the only one. We cannot possibly conceive how life on other planets will evolve however. Chances are we are the only intelligent species in our galaxy. Travelling to the nearest galaxy takes .. forever.

  • @leonheartdsl Sorry, I was a bit off topic. If we are talking, why something hasn't taken over the whole galaxy, then all I can say is we are a long way off. As of now, we can only keep an astronaut in space for a year? We would need to be able to keep one alive for 50 years. They would need to be able to survive once they got there. I think we are much closer to disaster than getting to another star. Like the vid says, if someone had done it, they would be everywhere by now.

  • @leonheartdsl , "Chances are we are the only intelligent species in our galaxy" Come on Leonheartdsl please tell me you don't believe what you just said? First, we are on an outer arm of the galaxy. Our solar systems sun is a dieing star and has been for quite some time. Most Intelligent races wouldn't think to look here. But if you ignore all of history's reports of UFO's in EVERY civilization we have recorded, then you would ignore the truth.

  • Ha Ha Ha Everybody is watching you

  • what is the song that plays last after the speach?

Who ever makes these videos should add to the information what music has been used. Thanks for the video anyway!

  • It's so fucked up to think that a giant blob of fire is responsible for all of this

  • WONDERFUL VIDEO - VERY WELL DONE. We are so small in this Universe we know so little. Angel Eyes

  • what's the point of thinking about it ,are life's so short we wont ever find out ,life's pointless anyway, most alien life form's prob have same crap life span has us,nature's a bitch and then you die

  • @shandy7219 Haha, life is not crap! Cheer up man. Life is beautiful, so much to explore, The galaxy for example. Or the whole frikkin universe. So much left to do.

  • I wonder if football players and cheerleaders ever wonder how big our Universe is.

  • who are we to be the only ones?

  • we are not alone my friends :)

  • Math is the universal language, be smart at math and we can contact aliens if we'll ever contact them.

  • WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, THERES BILLIONS OF OTHER LIFE FORMS........

  • Great job, keep it up!

  • The math in this piece is non-existent. The Drake equation? Please. Out dated. Is there intelligent life out there? I think so. Why haven't we found evidence? Because the distances are too great between the stars. People can't even comprehend it. Hell it takes 8 minutes for the light from our sun to even reach us. 8 MINUTES! The speed of light is really not that fast relative to the size of the Universe. We will be lucky to find out anything before our species dies off.

  • The moon landing was fake! Fake I tell you! FAAAAAAAAAAKE! <-------- sarcasm

  • Good point: where is everybody??

Also, our analog ('free-to-air') TV transmissions don't just serve the intended target audience (ca. 100km radius from transmission tower) but also radiate out into space.

If there were anywhere near the supposed number of civilised planets then SETI should have picked up many many alien TV transmissions. But guess what?

    Not a peep!

    Something's not right.

  • @carlosantuckwell What isn't "right" is that your puny mind cannot fathom the distances between the stars, much less galaxies. Light is fast..... but not really very fast when you consider the size out there. (Alien TV shows? Idiot.)

  • @lonstar70 When anyone gets emo and aggro and insulting like you did, it means they're feeling very insecure about 'their position'.

In fact, having 'a position' is an impediment to discovery. To be an explorer for truth - whatever that may, however many pre-conceived ideas it might destroy - is far more liberating than having an emotional-ego investment in a particular position.

What you said has no relevance to what I said. I know that light is slow compared to even our nearest star.

  • @carlosantuckwell You have no position? "Something's not right", you say. I'm not insecure about anything, I just think your comment was stupid. so if anyone disagrees with you they are "insecure"? I'm VERY secure. I just can't stand idiots.

  • @lonstar70 If anyone disagrees with you they're "stupid", an "Idiot". I only observe fear & insecurity (thinly veiled by aggro) in those who insult me just because I disagree with them. When people calmly (even in a friendly manner - is that mind-boggling for you?) disagree, then rationality (not subjectivity) is preserved, and both parties get closer to truth.

The original clip made the point that SETI should be picking up E.T. analog electromagnetic transmissions (e.g. TV)

    Aggro=ignorance.
