  • Drummer is rushing. I got to play this song with a band

  • yes indeed , there is no substitute for the B3,C3,A100 etc...i used to lug mine around but now i use the XK3C... so far nobody`s complained!

  • They're not dead yet?!?!

    Good - they sound terrific

  • Yes, this is one of the greatest and most unique organ solos in all of 1960's and 70's music. Too bad they don't use a real Hammond B-3 in their live performances. I know they're hard to lug around (I carry mine to all my gigs) but this digital Hammond clone (looks like an XK-2 or Korg CX-3) sounds so artificial and thin when compared to a real Hammond. There is just no substitute for the real thing.

  • they still sound great! love this song

  • A little taste of an era that don't come back.

  • He's still got a great voice!

  • No Mama Cass :(

  • Zombies set the bar with this one!

  • I LOVE THESE GUYS! <3

  • Fuckin' Legend's! What Would Be Music Without Zombie's ???? Nothin' Man !!! This Song Influened A Lot Of Person For Their Unique Sound & Style! Legend's! Next to Rollin' Stone's ! Thumb's Up

  • rod argent still keeps the old keyboard

  • this song isthe 60.s good sound.s and will live on for decade.s

  • @darkEthan69 me too im 15

  • Ahhh.. This song never gets old.. i can play it over and over and never get tired of listening to it!!!!!!

  • Colin's voice is still quite distinctive and he has lost very little of his vocal range. Good for him!

  • ENGLISH INVASION BAND....American bands wish they had the total talent of our chaps across the ocean.

  • It did take awhile for US bands to catch up, but, by the late 60's bands like the Doors, Creedence and The Allman Bros could hold their own with anyone out there.

  • Nice american band

  • What's your name?

    Who's your daddy?

    Is he rich like me?

    Beautiful! Classic, superb!

  • I´m Mexican, I like too much the music of the 60´s this song is one of my fovorite songs from these years....I´m sorry for my poor english, I would like to see more videos by example, Jefferson Airplane, Tommy Roe, the seekers, etc

  • que onda y tambien te gusta the kinks? son buenisimos te los recomiendo

  • Gracias, si los he escuchado y tambien forman parte de mi coleccion de discos L:P:

  • Mick Avery from The Kinks on Bass

  • I saw and heard them play yesterday! Colin is still supurb; Rod the best hammond player ever; with two fingers in his nose! It was a great succes, want to see them play again and again. Old memories and songs never die!

  • I see your humor, but honestly if you can see them play do not pass that up.

    --:0)

  • what're you talking about, dickhead? they sound as good as ever

  • was colin blundstone playing?

  • Colin is the guy in front singing. This line up played in Liverpool 25/10/09 & were fab. Colin and Rod = legends.

  • There are moments when Rod Argent can give Keith Emerson a run for his money.

  • The sixties were such a magical time. For me it was 12 years old until 23 in 1970.

  • I remember listening to these dudes in the late 60s and early 70s whilst in high school, great music and times they were.

  • Is that Rod Argent? their not that old!

  • hey ieatlotsoftoast...this song was made back in the 1960s...its your girl who copied it...get it right next time

  • LOL... "copied off Mealnie Fiona"... that's funny! This song was old when I was a kid... and I'm old!

  • I hope you're a troll.

Anyways, if you're not, The Zombies came out with this album/song 1968. GG.

  • ha ha ha...you idiot. This is an ORIGINAL hit from 1969 performed by the people who ORIGINALLY wrote and recorded it.

That was 40 years ago. No one will know who "Melanie Fiona" was 40 years from now..or even 4 years from now.

  • if ur pissed this is something u would listen to 2 calm down

  • fuck youtube for taking down original video.

  • Yay, in novembre, they come to Holland! I can't wait seeing them. Still good after all those years. Outstanding!

  • i love this song, it was way ahead of it's time, thank you for the post

  • this song is on dj hero

  • i hate those video games

  • super huau

  • seguros que son los zombies? por que segun yo ya se habian separado...

  • The Zombies and the Moody Blues still rule, forever and forever.

  • oh wow! they still do it? taht is so crazy! love it

  • yes, yes, and yes, oh and I forgot to tell you ,

    Yes!

    love

    Yes!

and ps. yes yes yes yes YES! I love this song, YES!!!!

  • Life is grand......to think these old geezers are still rockin after all these decades! Rock on boys.....rock me to my grave LOL

  • Still loving The Zombies after all these years!

  • The "clap-along" was so obtuse that it's no wonder no body was doing it. I'm practically tone deaf so I'm a bad judge, but it reminded me of the scene from "The Jerk" watching that guy try to follow it.

  • The keyboard sounds very Hammondish. Anyone know what it is?

  • this song rocks.... wonderful presentation!! love the zombies!!

  • I love the zombies give them a 10 +

  • asdfasdf

  • rod argent still has the power to do the best

  • my favorite song!

  • One of "those" songs that defined an era, great song, awesome keyboard work. Cool to see such a nice performance so many years later.

  • I saw them at the Grove in Anaheim on this tour with Arthur Lee and Love. Colin was in fine form as was Arthur.

  • is he rich like me? lol

  • who's ur daddy?

  • featured in the simpsons, i would like a better copy

  • REAL MUSIC!!!!

  • Smokey, you're a moron. Considering I cant remember the last time I saw a YOUNG black person get off their lazy rapcrap sampling ass and pick up a guitar let alone write a decent song, you're one to talk about dancing or music. You're a perfect example of all ego, and no brains, but America's full of losers like you on both sides. Sure is a difference between performers that have balls to carve out a piece of history and the sucka on his stolen laptop. Remember, you're no Obama.

  • They are so good after all these years! I must see them live.

  • Love this. Big Colin Fan and love each vid I can find on ut....GREAT!

  • What racist bollocks, let people do what they want to do, what harm is it doing? They paid their money, they should do whatever they want to do. Great live rendition of a beautiful song too.

  • hahahahahaa....great comment!

Steve Martin did a funny bit about it in his classic "the Jerk" Did you see it?

Well, I love to dance if the groove gets me... i'm sorta "white" but i'm a dark Jewish so maybe i got some soul in me.

  • u probably like those white girls in the strip club though

  • Smokey, you're a half-wit. Blunstone's voice is as wonderful as ever.

  • At 4:06 ,

a novel and fitting coda to a classic song.

  • Not many bands hold up this well 30 years after they were on the charts. Well done! Argent especially. Wish he would have drug out the real B-3 instead of this little Fartsneezer or whatever that is.

  • Just as good as the sixties just less acid lol.

  • They are amazing! I've seen them live and they rock!

  • OMG this wasn't that long ago! Wish I was there :)

  • Prom night 1969.

  • What's your name?

    Who's your daddy?

    Is he rich like me?

    Thats just so sexy

  • jhajahjhadamm i love that part of the lirycs too

its the best part of the song

  • The original opening with the distinctive drumbeat is better than the touring version with into music.

  • I love this song! Ive been on a search to find out who sang this song FORVER! Im so glad i found it. :)

  • QUE GROSSOS! The Zombies la rompen que vbueno verlos en vivo...

  • Awesome!

The only bad thing about this is the terrible looking bass...

  • going to see zombies on july 12 at Trump Marina Casino Atlantic City, NJ. Then a few days later at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA.

  • man i wish i could

    see them

i dont think im old enough to

  • I am young...Freaking 40!!

So many bands from the 60's I would LOVE to see. Including the Zombies.....

Wish Morrison was still around and Lennon and would love to see the Animals...Wish list is dead!

  • Zombies are touring the US in July.

  • So what you're 40? They're 50 or even more, BUT they still kickin' loud! Remember that, there's no such thing as OLD!!!

  • really cool :)

  • Awesome ! Thanx for the post !

  • everybody must have a copy or odyssey and oracle by the zombies

    a pop masterpiece

  • j'aime beaucoup ^^

  • With so many of the old rockers from this era either dead or looking like they should be, it's nice to see Colin Blunstone still looking and sounding so great. One of the most beautiful rock voices ever!

  • You are so right Rickysound, Colin still has a golden voice.

  • Damn, i'll bet when The Zombies first formed, they never thought they would still be playing hits like these today.

  • Rod Argent rawks on keyboards

  • Im tripin out to this groovy tune far out Take me back to a gentle time Peace and love

  • When I see Eric Burdon and The Animals know there not as nearly as good as they used to be...but the zombies are exactly the same!

  • Is it Jim Rodford on bass?

  • It certainly is. He's an excellent musician. Just wonderful to watch him play.

  • Did you see them in Oslo yesterday? How was the show?

  • They never performed this live when it was a hit becasue the Zombies had already broken up. Its funny to see the Time/Life record commercial with Peter Fonda, where they play Time of the Season but put in footage of She's Not there.

  • Mannnn that's playing.. never heard them, thanks a lot for uploading this.

  • well done mates !!

  • Amazing - thanks so much for this!

  • wow, they still sound the same. that's when you know a band has true talent, thats not found much more these days.

  • Groovy

  • Great song , and they still do have it ! Wow , I have a hard time with the new stuff , last night at work some of the youngsters put on one of there stations , oh God I just wanted to go postal after listening to a minute of this song it had one little keyboard part that they played over and over no chorus , no break , and no bridge , I truly think some of the new music is programming people in a negative way , as we can see by this A- Hole that decided to comment on a classic work of art !

  • Dickwad? Geez, you can do better than that.....or probably not. Umm, how old are you, anyway? Shouldn't your mommy be monitoring what you do on the computer? Did we not get enough sleep? Need your bottle or blankie perhaps?

p.s. Bring it on, I can go on forever...

  • Well, who want's high-tech anyway? It's not always the best choice. Musically proficient I agree with but high tech? Nah..

p.s. Tard? Tard????? I haven't heard that since the third grade and that was in 1968!

  • excellent song!

  • look in the mirror pal

  • Still got it guys! 0:-)

  • I love the first 'clap' and 'ahh' part. Such a simple thing and is way more effective and remarkable than any high-tech effect. Argent really rocks on this live set. He, Brian Auger, Brooker(Procol Harum), are my favorite keyboardists from this period of British Rock.

  • I love the concert ending, but I wonder if they ever tried it with the fade effect, like at the end of the record.

  • Man! we need this sound now. This could be released as a fresh hit and the young folks would dig it.

  • daaaamn. gimme chills.

the singer sounds better now than in the sixties, i'd say...

  • I am glad they are still very much around and touring...they are certainly one the best bands ever...sjrwex, where did you get your info? I hope it's true...

  • how often does it happen that the original members of a truly gifted & spectacular band will reunite after *40* long years to perform 1 of the most gorgeous, timeless & unforgettable albums in music history? ODESSEY & ORACLE

YES! the ZOMBIES live! this march 7, 8 & 9 at the shepherds bush empire in london!!! it's an incredible moment in concert history! check out rod argent dotcom,of course. plus they're gonna be at the stables this march 2 & 3. check out stablesdotorg

    wanna go? :-)

  • Yes, I'm going. Are you?

  • After all this time, ya think they could sing in pitch? lol....

  • additional info: It is rumoured that the 4 remaining Zombies will tour in 2008 for the 40th anniversary of their album Odessey and Oracle.

  • I think only Colin Blunstone, vocals and Rod Argent, keyboards are the original members, but I could be wrong on this one. I am going to see them tonight in Dublin.

  • The Zombies were great! I'm amazed more of thier songs did not become hits. Poor marketing or something. I've listened to their songs a lot lately and they are all great. At this concert, how many of the original group performed?

  • im only 21 to bad i didnt heard og them b4..this Song is Nice man.

  • Tell them to come to Japan. This song alone would assure them of bookings.

  • greshamjohn you re right!

  • Age is matter of mind. These guys till have it!

These guys are still 20 years old (with 40 years experience).

  • They sound better than any of the other old bands that are still out there performing!

  • this is best song ever.zombies rule.

  • tocate un huevo

  • they tear it up

  • Dear Ray and Jules,

It's still the grooviest of grooves!

    xoxollie

  • if you like this song, check out the old song "i love you"

  • dovan is better

  • Saw them at Hippiefest in Wallingford CT and had 2nd row & center seats. Didn't get to meet them because the venue screwed that up, but it was worth every penny!! I was crazy about them 40 yrs ago when I was 12 and they were MAGNIFICENT that night! Hope they take Odessey and Oracle here to the States!

  • Blunstone is still excellent... What a great voice! And he's over 60...!

  • Without a doubt the most exciting band!

  • This is one of those songs that just freezes me and takes me back to my childhood. To quote the slang of that era..VERY GROOVY! TFP!!!

  • I agree...saw them in New Hampshire and they blew me away!! Outstanding!! Simply outstanding!!

  • I also saw them at Hippiefest near Pittsburgh, and I was completely blown away. Their set included "I Love You" which was made famous by the band "People", "Tell Her No", "Hold Your Head Up", "Time of the Season", and their final song was "She's Not There". Got to meet Rod and Colin that afternoon and they were great guys.

  • What memories of my youth ! Beautiful music ! Thanks for posting .

  • smooooooooooth :P

  • What's your name, who's your daddy?

  • im not telling you!!!!!!

  • How long do the Zombies play in Hippyfest? I'm not interested in any other band.

  • are you gonna go to the concert at the hardrock in miami?

  • I was thinking about the New Hampshire Concert. I just would like to know the length and list on the Zombies set because the other bands are sleepers for me.

  • killer video they are in nyc tomorrow night w/turtles,mountain,and felix cavaleiere

  • I saw this show last night in Brooklyn, NY. They were GREAT. Got standing ovation.

  • Wonder band I have always loved this song my whole life!

  • great thanks for posting this

  • yeah!1

  • They are defo reforming for a special concert in London next year, where they'll be playing ALL of Odessey and Oracle!!!!! I hear mention of a STRING SECTION (?!?) - I'd far rather they wheeled out a REAL Mellotron Mk II for Hung Up On A Dream, Changes, Care of Cell 44 etc etc - they'll also be playing all the older stuff too!!!!

  • I am a Brit and I love this song but I did not know it unlike it was used in a Japanese automotive commercial ("compact meets luxury", Nissan Tiida) when I thought it was contemporary.

  • I think that Colin looks great and the maturity is a plus. Is it true that the Brits don't really like "Time of The Season" as much as Americans? These guy shine compared to the used up quality of old rock stars.

  • Just read your comment. They do look and sound great compared to a lot of "geezer" rock stars.

  • re: colin - still a hottie. byw, i'm married to a brit and all he cares about is led zepplin and bad company. i still haven't figured out the brits.

  • didn't they break up long time ago

  • This isn't really the Zombies, that is quite obvious.
