  • 1:15 another singer is bonzo??

  • @jimmypagethebest1 Its a voice effect to make roberts voice sounds like a whole chord of people. awesome :)

  • Talent is when you can go from a masterpiece like Stairway to Heaven to a little bar room swagger like Hot Dog. Zeppelin had it going on!

  • I could use a dirty water hot dog with mustard from the streets of Manhattan right about now

  • come on you shitkickers!

  • The Hot Dog is his Penis.

  • a 4 pc band should not be able to make that much music at one time-its unnatural!!

  • Only Zeppelin could make a song about a simple hot dog but make it as rocking as Stairway. Lmao

  • Hot dogging!!!!!!!

  • Zeppelin had no musical limits!!!

  • Zep anythin else need to be said?

  • hahaha, this song is so funny!

look how much fun led zeppelin is having here on playing this song and being high

  • Kewel!))))))~~~!@#$%^&*(_+_)(*&^%$#@

  • Zeppelin.........Rock,folk,blues,celtic,country,jazz-the absolute KING OF MUSIC!!

  • @charger4079 yup king of music... even the gay kind as heard on ITTOD

  • @ZOSOrulz1 sorry but how was ITTOD gay?

Did you even listen to I'm Gonna Crawl?

  • @Matthew9444 There are it's UGHH songs like South Bound Sauraz, but In the Evening and Fool in the Rain a pretty sick songs.

  • @Matthew9444 yes and all it did was piss me off.

  • @ZOSOrulz1 I thought it was a great song, pity it was never played live

  • perfect robert plant

  • MOST EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!

  • Jonsey could play bass with hands or feet, the man was for lack of a better expression, WINNING!

  • ohhh datta hot dog right deya

  • 0:47 ...JpJ :O

  • WHO IS DOING THE HARMONY ON THE CHORUS??

  • Kind of like The Blues Brothers at the country bar!

  • Looney TUNES amen !!! Well Thats ALL Folks !! The Zep's one and only "Kuntry Western" tune. Bootlegged so to speak believe it came in a brown paper bag album ."HUH? ZEPP<LIN Cun try" you say? Yea I do. If that lick ain't turkey in the straw coming outta the Page Ax I'll get someone to kiss your ass. Love the way they twisted it to fit their vein of expertise. Blatant sexual inuendo Rolla Roka from Hillbilly bread. Nice work fellas.

  • What's the Next Song... Fried Chiken?? xDDDDD!!

    amazing song :D!

  • Pagey really be sweatin'

  • this reminds me of elvis so much

  • cant say i like all the vocal effects but this song is perfect for plants voice at this time

  • @Exilemainstreet The Blues Brothers comes to mind. :-)

  • @IndianaSurfGuitar

    RAWHIDE!!!!!

  • He didnt sang ''I took her love at 17...''

  • 1979 :( the mighty Zeppelin was deflating

  • @TheHuMoCa Not really. 1980 shows were a lot better. Maybe not as good as, let's say, 1975 but the magic was still definitely there. The Knebworth shows were their first live shows in 2 years so there were kinks and plus I do believe Jimmy might have had a little to drink before hand. I don't know. I think if they came to America in 1980 or 1981 or whenever they were supposed to, they would have kicked major ass! But unfortunately, it didn't happen.

  • @LedWilde the reason I say they were deflating is cuz they were all spiriling into addictions. Jimmy was deep into heroin, and Bonzo was well being Bonzo untill 1980 where the Zep popped.

  • @TheHuMoCa Yeah. You're right about that.

  • @TheHuMoCa this is just a fun number for them !!!! just having a good time !!!!

  • Lol LOL they are laughing, I get it,it is a bazzar song fomr our Zep

  • They are the epitome of Rock n' Roll.

  • JOHN PAUL JONES RIPPING ON THE KEYS, HES FEET SHREDDING THE PEDALS! \M/ I JUST CAME\M/

  • Is that the same Telecaster from the early days? I read he had the one from the early days repainted so this could be it? Anyway, Page's guitar should have been louder and the voice harmonizer is a little too strong. Maybe have Bonham duet with him in those parts instead. But I'm not complaining. This is a rarity seeing a live a version of this song.

  • @LedWilde No, it's a later Telecaster outfitted with a b-bender. That crazy jerking he's doing on the strap is bending the b string for him.

  • @mattburns1d3 Thanks. :)

  • Jimmy breaks out the telecaster for the first time since the first Zep album in 69. Long overdue.

  • @SOLISDEUS well, not really, he also used it in 1977 during Ten Years Gone

  • Robert Plant is the master of vocals

Jimmy Page is the master of guitar

John Paul Jones is the master of bass/keys

John Bonham is the master of drums

  • @drnapls2 No they don't.

  • I'm a huge fan of Zep,but I don't like this song beacause it sounds like boring country song. It's not like Zep at all.

  • @tenoderaaridifolia yeah i kinda agree but!! this shows they can litterally play everything on earth and still sound great! and personally i think with all the metal genre's these days etc.. led zep would fit perfectly

  • It sounds like there's some backup singers on the chorus, but I have never read anything about Led Zep ever using extra people onstage, like other bands did. It was always just the four of them, so who's singing behind Robert?

  • @ericsandmark nonono, it's a thing where the microphone has a setting i think or the people working on the sound turns it to that setting when needed, lots of bands use, for example: go look at the vocal improv video by Queen live in 1977 in Earls Court.

  • @ericsandmark - When he was hitting the chorus, the dudes running the sound board flipped a switch and ran his voice through some kind of reverb or other type of system to give it a slight echoing effect. Not unlike what single guitarist bands do to give more life to the one instrument in certain situations in certain songs.

  • 10 pepole are tards

  • @5150zac

You're the 'tard - you can't even spell - people not pepole!

  • They put every style of music in a Rock N' Roll Jacket. From blues to Folk and From Country to Reggae. They inspired millions of bands, and they each inspired million of musicians. Including most of us who wached this thats for sure. Thumbs up for Led Zeppelin.

  • So with John Paul Jones on piano were they working without a bass?

  • @quikfax: John Paul Jones is playing bass with his feet. You can see him pushing on the bass pedals at 0:48. He's an amazing musician!

  • @smautomat Page and Plant needed three people to replace one JPJ

  • @smautomat i think that that is one of the hardest thing ever

  • @quikfax no he is playing the bass notes with his feet on a bass pedal if you watch closely

  • Wonderfull!

  • alex 4....I totally agree!!!

  • Respond to this video... the solo wasnt that good, straight up

  • Something is really special with this concert. Plant had been through alot of shit which totally broke him, Page was addicted to heroin, Bonzo was in really bad shape and deeply addicted to alcohol, JPJ was just pissed of and considered leaving the band. But, that doesn't show during this concert. That's why I love them, because what happened on the stage was pure magic. Nothing could stop 'em. I read in an article about this concert that "they were mortal this time", but no. They never were.

  • For all of You that have nothing good to say, this is what makes it real and raw they make mistakes and look they keep on going uhmmmmmmmm the "REAL FANS" can understand that. This IS a part of history and look we are watching it! I guess someone can find something wrong in every video they see but remember If You can't do any better yourself You have no right to pick out all the wrongs:) Just saying:)

  • Looking at these guys, you could throw them in front of a hostile audience in a redneck bar in the deep south and tell them to play a full set of country tunes or else, and you know they'd do just fine.

  • @Exilemainstreet like the blues brothers:D

  • @rafa40314 That's exactly what I was thinking of! Bobs Country Bunker!!!!

  • @Exilemainstreet Hell, yeah. And afterwards, Led Zeppelin and the rednecks would have a few drinks together. "Dayum, Jimmy Boy! You play that geetar like a motha fucka! Ol' Billy over there ain't got nothin on you!"

  • @Exilemainstreet And if it didn't go over, Bonzo would take them all on

  • @Exilemainstreet No shit everyone knows Jimmy Page has a huge country influence.

  • JPJ used everything bro

  • GO JIMMY GO:)

  • @67mommabear

    Ya! I agree!

  • JPJ used bass pedals?

  • robert totally got the lyrics in the wrong order lol

  • Jimmy looks amazing in this video! I love this song/album.

  • Cool he's playing the Tele with the B bender!

  • am i the only person that realizes this is probably the crappiest zeppelin performance ever? just kidding, but jimmy page really sucked

  • @longfootbuddy as much as i like led zeppelin, they were on their way out at this point.

  • @nfsfreak72 that don't mean shit.Kiss has had 3 or 4 sucessful comebacks.

  • this was always one of my favorite Led Zep songs. it was a big radio hit around 1975. it's a lost classic all the way. a great song that you never hear anywhere. good live rendition too, live shows were never their strong suit. their stuff holds up better on tape.

  • @jasonwheel

are you kidding? Led Zeppelin considered to be the greatest and best sounding live rock band of all time.

  • @jasonwheel august 1979 this in through the outdoor was released.

  • Man i cant believe this is on here. one of my fav late Zepellin tunes. Thank you for posting. It is amazing what you can find on Youtube. It is like good cocaine. Once i dabble it is hard to stop.

  • Which keyboard and pedals is playing john paul jones ?.

  • They played Hot Dog and In the Evenning on Knebworth from ITTOD I would love to hear Carouselambra live I´m sure it would improve the album version with Page leading the song high voltage!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE....this song......

  • I have been waiting 31 years to see this. Thank you.

  • whos making back up vocals on this one? or does the back up vocals are playback?

  • @lever525 it's called a harmonizer

  • @lever525 No it's a vocal effect. It harmonizes the notes automatically.

  • @ludwigvan17

Oh really?? and how doest it works or how is it called , i never would thought that

  • @ludwigvan17 I'm not sure what it's called but I have that same effect on this one effects pedal I have. I've never heard anyone else use it live except fopr Zeppelin.

  • @ludwigvan17 ... An Eventide Harmonizer

  • This seem's like a warm-up jam than a good song.

  • I always thought of this song being in the vein of rockabilly. Close cousin to country music but hey these guys loved Elvis.

  • damn right

  • weerrd

  • JPJ's BOSSIN IT UP

  • Who's singing backup in the chorus? Or is that just the crowd?

  • Haha definitely not the crowd, probably pre-recorded

  • @BandrewMacrew Somehow I doubt it's pre-recorded, but I don't know.

  • an effect on the microphone

  • @TheTangerineHippie Na man I think he is using a mic effect

  • i used to hate this song but now i kinda like it..haha

  • @dlm9293 Give Candy Store rock a hear.

  • yeh i actually have prescence so i've heard it...good song thanks for the suggestion

  • I really enjoy this song even though it is not very popular

  • this song is GREAT!

  • Looks like his Tele has a B Bender

  • you are right. it does

  • haha i love this song! so cute

  • How is it ripping off? Syd Barrett was the founder of Pink Floyd... And they changed their style completely after he departed...

  • page truly looks fucked here. Looks better now than back then.

But I do know why he looks less than great here.

    he was a smackhead

  • Is Robert Plant finding his inner Elvis/Johnny Cash?

  • i think it's more rock a billy, with a country twang, great song!

  • This song isn't influenced by country, it's making fun of it. Kinda like Dead Flowers by The Rolling Stones.

  • whoever gaVE you a thumbs down is a bitch cause your right they admitted to it i read it in an interview so i giv u a thumbs up

  • Why the civil war between fans of two epic bands? Shouldn't you save your bile for crap like rap, nu-metal and grunge?

  • Wow really pink floyd is deadly and so is zeppelin there both fuckiin deadly and david would say zeps deadly and jimmy would say pink dink is deadly 2 great bands who could be number 1 or 2 on anyones greatest bands of all-time list...and zep was INFLUENCED by old blues artists they never RIpped them off look at the rolling stones they fuckin used so much old blues tunes that zep did..and zeppelin wer ein there LATER days and wanted to do somthin diff..and came up with this badass tune..

  • Hot Dog has it's place. It's not great but it is nice to hear Jimmy wailin' on a tele. Never cared for The Crunge either but the drums on D'Yer Maker are awesome.

  • what???? i love the crunge man its a tribute to James Brown

  • wow ur a poser ur probably cant name any fucking albums other than zeppelin 1, 2 n 3

  • okay? what was Stairway ripped from? and dont even say rock n roll was taken from ACDC cause AC DC ripped tht one

  • They got sued for taking the lyrics in Whole Lotta Love as well as many of Page's riffs...

  • yeah i know they took it from willie dixon as well as i cant quit u baby and other songs i have the mother ship album it has stuff all about tht and i have the book on zeppelin oh did u know they had to change their name cause they were sued by the Van Zeppelin company and had to change their name for one of their tours lol wow

  • jarhead, hahahahaha you muppet!! Led Zep had to play a very early gig as The Nobs because of the Von Zeppelin family. It was a one off gig and they were never taken to court. Before you shout your shit, check you info first, you retard.

  • well said

  • whole lotta love was his own riff

  • even tho gnr does suck that doesnt mean pink floyd is better than zep. there two totally different bands who are BOTH amazing in their own ways....so before you go getting into a battle of typed messages take a second to realize this fact...THEY BOTH FUCKING ROCK!!!!!

btw linkin park is NOTHING like Metallica....

  • Well at least Pink Floyd don't rip off over half their music...

  • @PinkFloydAreGods ur fucken stupid

  • Coming from a person can't spelling fuckin right. It's the truth about them though. They did rip off alot of their music.

  • @PinkFloydAreGods shut the fuck up and go listen to your gay ass green day or fallout boy

  • My gay ass Green Day or Fallout Boy? You're a fucking moron, kid.

  • @PinkFloydAreGods just go listen to them u think they're the best

  • @PinkFloydAreGods yeah , they rip off stairway to heaven , rock and roll , black dog , the inmigrant song , sure ... sorry , my friend but you're talking a load of crap ... these four guys made maybe the best song in history ( stairway to heaven ) and you say they rip off a lot of their music ? And besides , let's be honest if they did so what ? everybody did it , stones , beatles , but they all made history , so instead ot talking about riping off or whatever , let's enjoy what they have done

  • @ladiesinwaiting1

They did rip of some songs but hell the people they ripped of didnt even care. And in no way are they bad musicians

  • @PinkFloydAreGods one more thing , i also love pink floyd , but again , who cares if Zep took someone else's material ... if they did , i'm sure they made it better , cause after 40 years we still love it

  • mindless teens? Look, just because you don't like Zeppelin, one of the biggest contributions to rock ever, doesn't mean you need to trash them. If you don't like this, gtfo

  • By 'Mindless teens' I was referring to the idiots who say "Your justt jeluz!!!!!!11!". I never even said I disliked this band. Just the fucking song...

  • Complete shit...

  • Jealousy.

These Guy's were one of the only bands that could wipe the floor with Pink Floyd Fan-boy.

  • Jimmy looks like he is floating around the stage for the intro

  • wow!

    mind blowing!

  • hes playin bass pedals too!

  • JPJ IS BOSSING IT UP!!!!!!!!!!

  • srry meant to giv u a thumbs up JPJ is the fucking spine of zeppelin

  • its amasing how influenced they are by country

  • @swann46 Why are you suprised by that? LZ took influence from every form of music.

  • Some perms going on on that stage......

  • am i the only person who realises that this performance has probably the best impov solo ever performed,

its a pity its only live,

would be considered up their with achilles last stand if it were recorded,

  • u should listen to their performance of achilles on this concert.....fucking mind blowing

  • @mrfenderbenderman No you certainly are not the only one to realize the brilliance of this piece. Alot of critics (and fans) write it off as simply a "gimic or a mimic" of American country and western music. But in reality, the song really demands a lot from its musicans and singer -- while at the same time allowing them to demonstrate their prowess as performers. One of my favorite LZ tunes -- very tight performance here.

  • Uh oh...my new favorite Zeppelin song

  • Was there on the day myself the video is so different to how i remember the gig .. the effects of time i guess . either that or a teenage memory.....under the influence.............

  • Cool Cats!!!

  • It almost sounds like Plant is using a harmonizer to get the harmonies? Any ideas? Still a great song...:)

  • One of the things that made Stones, Beatles and Zeppelin great--they would play a tune from any genre. They played any style well.

  • @mygaboo Well said!!!

  • This song is so amazing and so is led zeppelin

  • cold cats is what it shoud of been called

  • Very cool!

  • this is one of my favorite jams by far!

  • This is an underrated song, it's very catchy and shows how versatile Led Zep were.

  • Cool to see Page with his B Bender, later used for the ARMS benefit

  • better than steve vai

  • priceless!
