  • @DAVESVW Sounds like you've got a great bug, thanks for your comment. :)

  • We want a class 11 too :), thanks for your comment!

  • what all you got on there, oh and also do you have a website that you use for buying parts? im 15 and just bout a 65 beetle for my first car and i want to make it a baja.

  • Man I miss the HD.

  • We were somewhere around Barstow, when the drugs began to take hold...

  • Sweet everything. You lucky guys! B¬)

  • @wordreet Thank-you! Nice comment :)

  • he look like brag

  • I knew that bug looked familiar! My buddies and I hung out with you guys for a little bit towards the end of the day. My buddy had a built gray Ranger and I had my Burgundy Dodge.

  • @krookedKiller13 I remember you guys, Good to hear from you! :)

  • @neodly It's a small world! looks like a bug I sold a while back. Guy bought the engine and front beam cages and I told him he had to take the bug, too! I'm working on a Class 11 72 right now.

  • Cut and turned means we cut the center part of the beam, turned it and then welded it to give the bug more lift, or method just uses the stock beam, this bug was on a tight budget. What you are planning will make the front-end wider and have more travel which is a good thing...Go for it let me know when your done and post a video. :)

  • What do you mean by "cut and turned" on the front end? Ive got a 67 baja thats pretty sick. Im thinking of going with the 6 inch wider beam with the 8 inch towers. Is what you did easier than what im about to get into? Thanks

  • hot baja, hot babe! it doesnt get any better.

  • WELL IT DOES THATS JUST THE BEGINNING MUAAA HA HA HA HA : )

  • It does pretty good in the woops, it has Fox Res. Shocks in the front also, I think we may put on a long travel link pin front end anyhow but we may just leave it as it is too, we take out to the desert and sand dunes a lot and it just motors along.

  • We are using a type 1, IRS transmission.

  • @neodly Hey great bug. Wanted know if you have any videos of it going over woops? How the stock/ turned front end handles them is going to be my deciding factor on whether to upgrading to longer travel shocks in front? I see you upgraded the rear shocks which length did you go with?

  • @neodly 5-rib kicks the IRS's ass.

  • what tranny are you using?

  • Not that much money...but we did all the work to it, built the motor, bent-up the cage an welded it...we didn't pay anyone else to work on it so the cost wasn't bad, a few grand, it's a '69 bug.

  • what year is the bug? its bad ass how much money did you put into it?

  • I like the girl more

  • how fast have you got that up to?

  • what size engine does it have and i am planning on building one so what is the smallest recommended engine size?

  • @bajas4life Dual port 1600 would be the smallest or an 1835 would be good, this one is a 2276.

  • how big are the back tires?

  • @bajas4life They are 33s.

  • @neodly how much did you spend to make it

  • thats a sick baja dude!

  • HI that is a awesome looking bug! i have a 1974 bug i am building too, i am painting wheels and body semi gloss! black seeing yours made my decision, i like how it sits what kind of lift are you using front and back?? also it looks like a ball joint beam in vid! anything done to the front beam like being widened?? also i see reservoir shocks! what kind are they keep the vids coming!! thanks

  • Thanks! Front end is stock, cut and turned with Fox shocks. The lift is just VW cut and turned, the back is just turned with the fox shocks. Not widened. I'll get some more vids up soon! Thanks for the view and comment!
