Madden 2010, Ratings Mean Nothing, Yet Again.

@DaveNbusters29 Madden has done nothing to impove it's games, and Marlin Jackson should have slipped or slide, or even back peddles quick? that's damn near impossible, it's not realistic. In fact NFL 2k5 still has this down, and even APF 08 has this down funny enough and APF 08 does not have any ratings lol.

This guy Moody proved it right there, that Percy Harvin had the speed, the catching ability(although it was overratted in a sense) over Marlin Jackson and Marlin Jackson beat him to the route. the thing that gets me is, ok, even if Jackson was able to play coverage on a fly route like that, it put harvin open for a quick strike underneath. Any human would see that and throw it short underneath the deep coverage but madden only allows throws to the called route however dense the coverage there is, not throws into the open sections of the field when clearly a completion would have been made by a human QB.

I had Brian Westbrook vs Antonio Pierce running a go route and AP made the play. This was Madden 09 where that happened. I guess Madden's rating haven't meant anything in a long time.

thats not the way to intensify competition tho... It cant b simulation if unrealistic things lik this happen just b/c its on a higher difficulty. Difficulty should be translated through better play calling, better field vision, decision making, ect.

Before I talk trash. Tell you what, how about you make a video showing what other attributes you say matter come into affect.

Not sure how you can look at this and say anything about press coverage, Marlin never jams him.

When you have a WR running a post in man coverage against a DB. Hate to break this to you, but in the NFL it comes down to speed and acceleration.

Not much route running needed to run in a straight line. Not much play recognition for a DB to see the WR never make a break.

Not that my comment is anything special, but yeah, this pretty much sums up why you can't run deep routes in this game unless the defender is in bump n run coverage and is at least 10 points slower.

Whoa! Who does he think he is? Sonic the Hedgehog? We need to boycott Madden NFL 11. We've made a lot noise showing the problems in this game and Ian Cummings with the rest of EA Sports refutes anything we say. As a result, they don't do enough or anything at all to fix the problems that have been in this game since next-gen came out. Don't buy next year's game, just rent it if you really want to play an NFL video game so bad. Send a message that we're not going to take this crap anymore!
