The whole point of music is to actually sound "melodic" in one form or another, this "bands" music sound like uncoordinated noise. Having played keyboard for 9 years, I can tell when someone does not have a clue about which end of the instrument plays music and which end does not.... these guys dont have a clue.

yeah i guess that's the divide, if you really dig on DRI then you might be more into the thrashy metal stuff. the dirty rotten LP i liked alot but i haven't' gone back and checked them out. i like thrashy/metally shit like +VOID+ (who i liked before the american hardcore movie). this band haymaker i think is more of a live thing. i always talk about them and how they keep the apeshit riot idea alive. i just can't dig the music too much.

no this is hardcore. Not in it's truest form, but it's HC. Don't go faliming me, i know my Bad Brains and Minor Threat shit, but this is also HC, so is crust, powerviolence, grind, screamo.... Just because the riffs are a little deep doesn't mean they're metal.

Do your home work, if you asked a metal artist if this is metal, they would give you 1000 reasons why it isn't, and the first one will be "Short song, simple riffs, not much talent". And that is what HC is all about.
