i had 2 bike accidents (where i broke somthing) most where my own doing to some extent in both cases wearing a helmet would not have help helmets may help but they never will prevent real accidents from happening
How can stossel be so naive, its clearly his mustache keeping him safe. Only a matter of time before our glorious congress pens the Transportation Mustache Safety Act of 2010.
Stossel is the best reporter, by far, to ever work for NBC. Too bad for them that he's gone to greener pastures. I was amazed at the intellectual depth of this piece.
There is also a great book called "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross, available from Accurate Press. I recommend it, but it is a highly violent novel that deeply examines the law of unintended consequences as they relate to guns. Brilliant economics in both this piece by Stossel, the theory, and the book.

Okay, don't get rid of helmets. Educate the drivers.

When helmets became mandatory in NHL hockey, head injuries increased.
