If you got it from Hong Kong on eBay without it's box, I honestly think it's a fake/knock off.

The Ferdinand you got from eBay isn't fake. It could be a factory error or a prototype. Things like that happen to wooden railway models when they are being built.

Ferdinand's tender from china one has brown while the British one has redish pink

It's not fake, it's just from China. All Wooden engines from China are different or flawed in some way or another, even say Thomas or James models. They make them different ways and sell them in mass numbers.
