this is fucking despicable. a disgrace to folk music and all decent music in general. and the part where they try to look like train riders is even worse. fucking shit heads
nice and i think she has a good voice. but i do not like the interpretation of this song. awful!!! it misses the point. we are singing it in chorus and of course this is another form of chant but it is so much more beautiful and sincere.
I don't feel like Bethany has ever been 900 miles from home for a long amount of time?
Misses the point? What point are you talking about? A piece of music is much more than just the notes and lyrics on the page. It is a canvas that the musician can take and work with to convey different impressions and emotions. Assuming that every song has "a point" that you either get or miss sounds like you're equating performing music with reading a sheet of instructions to build IKEA furniture.
omg were singing this song in chorus, it sounds so different here. i love the different styles of music. were doing it as a choir and it is so cool listening to this!
I saw them perform at the Canmore Folk Festival in the Canadian Rockies last summer, they without a doubt amazing and she is mesmerizing to listen to. She is the daughter of Peter Yarrow of the Peter, Paul and Mary fame.
People hop up and down about the White Stripes but if you have a duo you might as well be able to sing and play. Bethany & Rufus you folks can do both. Down with White Stripes up with Bethany & Rufus !
i have to sing this in choir, but the version were singing is a little different, like when she says "if the train runs me right, I'll be home tomorrow night" we say "I'll be home saturday night"
Apparently, 8 people are way more than 900 miles from home.
Great job.

I like. One of the best song, which I have ever heard. I heard this song first time, when I saw the movie: Mum and Dad. The film was not wonderful.

@theemusic92 Let's not use fag as a derogative term, it's quite offensive to the LGBT community.

Oh please. its a good song, but i like the choir version better. my choir is singing it, and the harmonies make it way more beautiful.
