I'm curious how many of these wonderful pieces you can keep in your memory at one time. I love how flawlessly you perform, but it must be tough to keep a lot of songs "under your fingers" all the time. Do come to the States sometime and play!

To be honest, I don't know how I keep all these songs. I remember arrangements as roads to places. When you go to somewhere, you don't remember every houses you pass by. You remember as a way. I am planning to visit US next year somewhere around Spring.

I've always enjoyed you music and thank you for it. I humbly submit that you've made a mistake in this arrangement. The song is arranged in groups of 5 in common time, 5 measures for the verses and 15 measures for the chorus. I think that you may have ommitted a repeat of measure 10 or 11 (take your pick) in the chorus. I noticed this when I tried to sing along, as it's one of my favorite tunes.

Again, I have only the highest regard for your output and virtuosity.

You never say how you got to where you are now. You just say you been "playing for 30 years, nothing special."

You must have at least had some classical training, right? So wouldn't you recommend us beginners/intermediates out there to take classical lessons?

I started to play guitar because my mother wanted me to take guitar lessons, so I took classical lessons for a year and half or so. But I hated it at that time. I wanted spend more time with friends. So I think of myself as a self-taught player.

As always Hiroshi, your arrangements and playing is just perfect-o.  I can really hear the vocalist in how you bring out the melody.

In guitar camp sessions at Swan Gathering, Michael Chapdelaine stressed to us that that was THE most important aspect of arranging CH melody solos of pop tunes.

i.e. Do not play the 'guitar' but be the singer.
