Why The Hell are you playing in the closet!!!! You got a 2000+ in the closet, plus you're a playing a Legendary amp the amp that metallica used in the closet!!! WTF
This thing sounds so good to me on the lead side. Im not into boogies usually but like the new mark V. Maybe I will prefer the IIC over the IIC+? I wonder if the 100 watt IIC sounds the same as the coliseum version anyone compare the two? I think the lead side and a pedal would be perfect or am I looking for a IIC+? I hate the scooped sound everyone likes though.
Well my housemate wasn't home and the volume was very low. I could have had it much louder without complaints and possibly even low enough for a hard sleeper in the next room.
I have sold the amp, but I did think about the mod while I had it. I'm sticking with my mark 4 rig and I'm really a drummer by trade so I just bought the amp to try out and then make money on. The options on the mark 4 including the 3rd channel just let it shine through.
I use to own a Mark II combo and I one time put some high gain JJ pre amp tubes in it. And I after installed them I could play Brutal Metal with even cutting the gain back to a 7 on the lead channel. And they gave the amp way more head room on both channels.
Actually your amp is 180 watts as from what the boogie files history site says. If I was you I would sell that amp at all because they're one of the rarest Mesa's ever made. Go type in the boogie files in google search and it will pull up the Mesa Mark history web site and you can even run your serial # 's on any Mark series amp to see what type it is also.
Yeah man I wouldn't sell that amp for anything because you will kick your self in the head if you do. They are getting almost non replaceable. And plus most amps period cannot even hang with it in the tone department.
I do still have the Mark 4 and I love it, so its not going anywhere! This amp is cool but I personally perfer the 4 and will probably end up selling this one. Mark 2Cs are the ONLY amps out there which can still be completely and truly plus modded but I haven't decided whether to send it to Mike B. or just put it up for sale.
The plus mod would take this amp to an even higher level but there are so few unmodded Cs left that it would kinda be a shame to scratch another off of the list. Especially, because there were less than 80 C and C+ Coleseum amps so probably only about 40 of these amps ever made.
How much these go for?

you do know that there is a Mesa Boogie Colluseum 300. It is a rack-mount amp with TWELVE 6L6 tubes.

Hi,
Great tone...
Have you considered getting the + mod?
And would you be game enough to show us how it sounds in full power? Thanks..

You are correct! Since it is a non simulclass(WHICH ARE 150 watts) it is a 180 watt model(class AB with half power)
