I never saw you as boring? I have no idea how someone could think that either of you are dry? Keep em coming and keep smiling Amanda! Some folks out there are just plain fun suckers!
hrrm......I don't know about the ivy cutting! I would probably ask, just to make myself feel better. I agree with the poster who said that they would sleep better at night :)
When I was 3, a neighbour kid and I pulled out all of an old lady's tulips for our mothers so it's definitely more ethical than that! lol
Good luck reducing the processed foods! I recently started getting epic migraines so I stopped drinking diet soda and they stopped completely so I can definitely see the benefit
Frankly speaking, if it is in a public place then I doubt that it is bad to take something from there. But as long in place that you can reach the owner, then I think he/she will be more than happy to allow you to do such thing. Especially if it is clear that trimming some branches can lead to a better growth in the original plant, I guess!!!
Wonder if this same person would say this to your face or if they are cowardly hiding behind their keyboard being rude. Wonder what they look like? Their life must be very sad. I like your personality.
I wouldn't feel guilty of taking a piece of plant ... I do it often ... usually from shopping mall planters :P though I have been known for picking up pieces of broken plants off the ground outside super markets in the summer as well ...
Seed pods are really fair game! I pick morning glory pods when ever I see them :)
I hope the not so kind comments from last week didn't get to you ... some people have no tact it seems o.0
@blackraven1515 We have a good "mantra" to help with nasty comments. "Be a duck" Try it, it works, if someone says something just let it be and move on. If it does get to you try quacking, it makes for a fun moment! -Randy
stealing is stealing just plain wrong but the more plants there are in the open the more air we get purified and breathable hope it does what you want and there has to be pictures in the future how it's doing.
OMG on the cutting (Stolen cutting), I pass by this house that has a bush outside that grows little red balls dont know what its called but it is a all weather bush and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a piece, so I will go over and ring the bell today and ask if I can cut a piece if they say NO I will resort to going over late at night and taking it. I also feel like it is stealing but they are going to trim it down anyway right?
MobyDave is right...stolen slips do better and all gardeners learn that so they intuitively offer absolution before the event so that you can nick all round you and walk home with a clear conscience. You could also consider it a reproductive strategy by the plant to get established somewhere else.
Oops sorry, fat.fingers on my phone...didn't mean to give a thunbs down!
So it was just a.business and not someone's house...and I presume there was a ton of Ivy, it didn't harm the plant in any way and you couldn't even tell a piece was missing...? If so, I think it was ok to take a cutting.
@Becoming0ne Hehe... it's okay, you're just going to have to give us extra thumbs up! LOL! The business had it everywhere and it was really going nuts. Wouldn't have taken it if it was a small plant. -Randy
I would have ask first. Bean Bag chairs are soft, fun, and so much fun. What a nice compliment to get. Now I want to be called a bean bag chair, LOL. Love you guys. Keep doing what you are doing. Hugs
I sleep better at night when I ask instead of just taking a cutting. I would rather pay for it than to have that nagging guilty feeling. Love you guys personality or not, please don't morph into what everyone else wants you to be, but stay who you are. Cheers!
Totally not bad to take some of the Ivy. It grows like crazy, and it was from a buisness. If it were in front of my house, and someone took a leaf i would raise an eyebrow and wondered what they were doing. But its not like you picked fruit off of someones tree lol. Totally think its ok =)
I think its fine that you took the ivy from another place most of them most of the time they get cut down or none even looks at it when they have them cell phones and new netpad things in there hands they dont notice them.
Really enjoy the videos keep up the good work you two. If that's wrong I don't wanna be right... I once spent a beautiful day in a large garden. I couldn't resist stealing a little interesting leaf here or a flower that had fallen to the ground and inserting them in a small notebook and eventually filled it. I pressed it when I got home and I still have it today and have added little poems and sayings. It is a great keepsake and memory. As long as you don't get caught :)
I went to visit my grandmother one time and she had a Humongous ivy growing there I gave her a big compliment on it and she said you should like it I stole it of your wife's plant 3 years ago!!! LOL He policy was if you steal them they grow better. My wife got a big kick out of it when I told her.
Stealing is stealing. No matter how you look at it. But that's just my opion. I look at things like this to get through my day, I ask myself if God come at that very moment what would he think. And I use that to decide if it's right or wrong. Love your channel, God Bless!
I like ur plants thanx 4 sharing... (^_^)

A seed pod and trimings from a plant are fine as long as they are small and not taking like everything. =)

@6482mita well if you know they are going to do some trimming I can't see them saying no when you lightly ask if you can steal some :)
