@sanders8323 my aunt has this toilet and a round version of it too but i think the round one has more power but the funny thing is that i flushed like two or three paper towels down the elongated one like this one and it didnt clog at all.
@sanders8323 yea id say plebes to cuz the trapway looks smaller on them but my opinion is that the round bowl american standard cadet has some good power
Mine are , my dad hates them I hate the every body in the house hates the. The flush may be good but the trap desighn is trash. I would rather have a kohler wellworth or an old american standard cadet.
I know. But evry house in my neighborhood that was built by the same developer as my house has windhams. other houses have kohler wellworth , mansfield alto , and briggs altima.
I can't really say much about Windhams. I've come across a few but never "tested" them. I know they've been around since low flow began and haven't ever changed their design, so people must be happy with them. And this Cadet here is an older one. I believe in the next year (2002) the Cadet went through a slight design change where the flush was made stronger.
This is the second generation Cadet II. The first generation Cadet II was all rim action (no siphon jet). Then, many years later the Cadet II was redesigned as the newer Cadet II that we see here. After this Cadet II there was (and now is) the Cadet III
If you go to their website the Cadet looks exactly like this. It's design on the exterior shown on their site was exactly like this toilet. There is no mention of a Cadet II on their website.
Oh OK I see what you mean. (after scouring the website) There was a time when this toilet was sold as the Cadet II and now it is just sold as the Cadet (There is a similar issue with the spacesaver Cadet)
Actually not too often, but I've heard that this toilet isn't professionally recommended. Most of the time the flush was a bit sluggish but everything went down. Of course there was almost always a need for a second flush.
Hey sanders8323 between this american standard cadet and your american standard plebes that you got rid of which do you think clogged the most?

@TechnologyGame That's a tough one, but I'd say the Plebes, though both toilets performed similarly.

i like cadets. Some are real water guzzlers though . the best in my opinion would be the cadet 2 or even the plebe from 98'

Good flush now these are in my to-get list.
cableking1258 2 years ago
I wouldn't bother. You'd regret it because they're not very good performers.
sanders8323 2 years ago
Do they clog alot?
cableking1258 2 years ago
Yeah it has less than 200 g map score.
sanders8323 2 years ago
Are they as bad as those god forsaken sterling toilets.
cableking1258 2 years ago
No I don't think they're that bad.
