  • nice video sr, is that any rules or laws of metal detecting in public parks (central usa) thanks.

  • Oyaroidni1, yes I am sure that there are laws against metal detecting in public parks. If it is a federal park, forget it, you will be arrested and fined. If it is a state park, I don't know about the middle states of the us. But, most state and province governments prohibit metal detecting.

County and Township parks either prohibit metal detecting or you have to have a permit to do so. Always check with the proper authorities before metal detecting.

  • ive been doin some huntin in virginia also, lots of history. i was granted permission to hunt an old house that thomas edison and henry ford had frequented. its been interesting. great vid guys.

  • Good luck with that house site. That sounds like a great opportunity to find some interesting artifacts.

  • Can you put these finds into context? was there a battle? it looks like you have located a artillery position- cannister is normally fired at close range.

  • Yes, this was a battle site, artillery was used against retreating Union troops. I cannot name the exact battle to protect the site.

  • Your microphone needs a foam shield to cut down on the wind noise. Thanks for sharing.
