Oyaroidni1, yes I am sure that there are laws against metal detecting in public parks. If it is a federal park, forget it, you will be arrested and fined. If it is a state park, I don't know about the middle states of the us. But, most state and province governments prohibit metal detecting.
County and Township parks either prohibit metal detecting or you have to have a permit to do so. Always check with the proper authorities before metal detecting.
ive been doin some huntin in virginia also, lots of history. i was granted permission to hunt an old house that thomas edison and henry ford had frequented. its been interesting. great vid guys.
Can you put these finds into context? was there a battle? it looks like you have located a artillery position- cannister is normally fired at close range.
thats cool guys hi from england,,i have found lead musket balls from the 1700s,,from our civil war too,,my best coin so far is a queen elizabeth the first silver hammrd shilling from the 1500s.

Yes, this was a battle site, artillery was used against retreating Union troops. I cannot name the exact battle to protect the site.

Your microphone needs a foam shield to cut down on the wind noise. Thanks for sharing.
