  • I wish the singer was gay. I would totally do him.

  • 0:30 THE PENIS WAS FROM HEAVEN !

  • @surfthecentre And it went to hell.

  • best death metal band ever

  • This would be a great "Misheard Lyrics" project.

  • This reminds me of the time I found out my mom was racist. When I was little we were in a store and she said I could pick out any christmas orniment I wanted, so I picked up a one that was santa (depicted as a black dude) holding a cat. My mom said "no sweetheart we cant buy that one, santas not black". I threw a shit fit and made her buy it. I see it on the tree every christmas when I visit my parents

  • His shirt. First Blood. Awesome.

  • :30 the penis was from heaven

  • Can't believe I missed this bands show last friday with The Contortionist. They kick so much ass.

  • Awesome band :)

must say the vid is trippy when your extremely high XD

  • @aadaf

  • Weird name for a song. Are these guys racist or just do random songs?

  • @xxDISEMBOWLMENTxx Random songs, not racist what so ever. and im black. But this band has the weirdest songs ever, but they fucking rule!

  • @xxDISEMBOWLMENTxx are you dumb he is talking about a dark Santa black Santa means evil Santa duh

  • @xxDISEMBOWLMENTxx hell no they are not racist band im black and i listen to them they are talking about a evil Santa hence black Santa

  • @westsidefucku ..? I don't see any reason why somone might mistake them for what I did. Just a question I asked?

  • @xxDISEMBOWLMENTxx oh ok kool i understand

  • THE PENIS WAS FROM HEAVEN...AND IT WENT TO HELL!!!!!!!!

  • Honestly there is no meaning to their songs....all of it is like a retard taking phrases and putting it together....but thats why its so FUCKING AWESOME

  • The people who invented subgenres are fuckin retards.

  • @PicturesOfMyButt Oh the irony of this comment.

  • @Gompersz Ironic? Do you even know what Irony is?

  • @PicturesOfMyButt Dude, subgenres have a very valid purpose. It's the people who argue about subgenres as if its a matter of grave importance that are fucking retarded.

  • @CaptainJetScent agreed

  • Kinda gets old when you see comments sayin this shit sucks, this other bands better,, listen to this band, or this isn't grind or deathcore, or w/e. Just shut the fuck up and enjoy the Brutality. Your not more hardcore cuz you hate someone elses taste in music.

  • @gothissatanis

I am fucking with you on that one. About time someone said it.

  • face melted*

  • Guy = Leonidas!

  • if your aunt had balls! she's be your uncle!

  • Don't care what the ballz it is, there Be too many sub-genres, lets just call it metal and enjoy it.

  • :50 to 1:15 fuking brilliant

    i jizzed my fukin pants

  • lol at all the arguing, this sounds like deathcore to me

    im just sayin

  • @BabyFacedAssassin301 its death grind and the drums are very different

  • Wow, after reading the comments, they're just full of what shitty sub genre bands belong to, I fucking hate sub genres they're so gay. Especially when its sub sub genres like Deathcore and Cockgrind and shit, lol

  • whitechapel is deathcore D':

but.. i dont even like to put bands into genres at all. id rather just listen to them.

  • my opinion but i think agoraphobic nosebleed is better but these guys kick total ass though!

  • founders of modern grindcore, seriously, are Rotten Sound. Same time its the best grindcore band, and its from Finland too :)

  • @unFINished321 Rotten Sound are a fucking incredible modern grindcore

  • shits sick saw them in augusta ga. bout 2 years ago at sector 7 g...fuckin right

  • The Red Chord is seriously one of the best Grindcore bands around - And for all the assholes just waiting to tell me "Dude, they're deathgrind, I know - go fuck yourselves.

The Red Chord reminds me so much of modern Napalm Death, it's just fucking awesome. Skinless, Red Chord, Napalm Death = awesome fucking live show.

  • @drratburn i have no idea if i'd call TRC grindcore but i have no idea what i'd class them under they're different from alot of bands you hear nowadays

and theyre fucking amazing especially the early stuff

but yeah Skinless, The Red Chord and Napalm Death would be a gig i'd wanna see

  • your actually wrong about the grincore..and deathgrind i dont wanna start a debate but the red chord are deathcore..there defintiley grind influenced but their music mainly consists of death metal and old school(real) hardcore ..their vocalist critcizes deathcore because all it means now are shitty generic metalcore bands who try and souond brutal but the red chord are the OG of 'deathcore' even though that word is gay and is associated with horrendous bands.

  • Your post was completely redundant. Red Chord is NOT deathcore - the lyrics aren't in vein of deathcore, the tuning of their music is not in vein of deathcore, the band's over all theme is not in vein of deathcore. Simply put, they aren't fucking deathcore - bands like Emmure are modern day deathcore.

Red Chord has earned their stripes and can be called the founders of modern grindcore.

  • Bad

  • "If Your Aunt Had Balls, she´d be your Uncle".....Awesome!

  • @Moks17 imagine seriously singin that lyric without a smeark on stage.

  • I would see them live soooo bad

  • clients are paying "customers'

  • whoever says theses guys are deathcore dont know what deathcore is

  • Hey retards, the lyrics aren't random and stupid for no reason, they're told from the point of view of "clients" in an insane asylum. The whole album is.

  • what do u mean by clients?

  • @shadowsthatmove23 Clients is what this insane asylum calls their patients. It's also the name of the album this song is off of.

  • haha the lyrics are funny but don't make sense to me. i guess they dont have to

  • The penis was from heaven and it went to hell! that's brutal and funny haha

  • sorry if im like totally off but.... "the penis was from heaven...?" 0:30

  • love these dudes

  • shitfuck.... why the fuck did i just say that?????

  • The Red Chord is the best

    Keep it metal!!

  • It sounds so brutal but the lyrics are funny

  • The penis was from heaven and it went to hell. LOL

  • Entonces son malos

  • 1:28 santa take me off your list, lawlz

  • the red chord=respect

  • haha 2:14 sounds like hes saying shakin my cock

  • @83ibanez83 wouldnt doubt it lol

  • i remember i went to ozzfest years ago and got a summer sampler cd with this song on it

  • Definitely not deathcore. More like a death metal/chaotic hardcore/grind hybrid.

ANYWAY, ENOUGH GENRE BITCHING. This band is awesome, loving the new album.

  • Comment removed

  • @infinitepossibility. agreed most definitely not deathcore

  • Mike McKenzie, their guitarist, prolly has more talent in his dick than all of GWAR put together.

If they weren't so shitty they wouldn't have to wear that alien bullshit onstage.

    Suck my dick.

  • both of you fucks need to shut the hell because both bands deserve respect.

  • go stuff ca girble up ur ass faggot

  • @jeffmatt2

    haha are you fucking serious?

if gwar didnt spray blood all over the crowd and bust out giant dicks, nobody would ever come to fucking see them.

the red chord at least has talent, gwar should be opening up for them.

  • This band is fucking awesome.

  • this is like a deathgrind its deathmetal w/a lot of grindcore influence

  • not to start a genre arguem, ent but the red chord are deathcore. there death metal with real influence of hardcore punk. there not just a buncha breakdowns and generic riffs like most deathcore tho.

  • thats because theyve been out for a long time

  • i dnt see how tht correlates but its a coincidence tht despised icon is influenced by true hardcore punk and there one of the odler deathcore bands too. either way despised icon and the red chord are dope.

  • meaning, there not another , carnifex/suicide silence/ that kind of stuff, the ''newer'' scene kids stuff

  • @BuletproofScales

They don't really label themselves anything and don't really fall under one genre, and a lot of that has to do with what is now considered "deathcore" isn't what was considered deathcore 10 years ago. They stick out because:

    1. Guy's vocals are second to none. He uses no tricks and I don't think anyone can recreate his sound, he's straight up yelling.

    2. You can hear elements of punk, hardcore, death metal, grindcore, and so on. They kind of do their own thing.

  • yes mainly death metal and hardcore making them deathcore, iver herd ppl call the red chord grindcore which teyre not but def influenced..so if labeled anything i think its safe to call them a deathcore band with a grindcore influence

  • @BuletproofScales

Well yeah and no, again. They don't really qualify as anything, and really are closer to grindcore (the drumming changeups and such) which is a pretty old genre. Because of the new "deathcore" the can't really be called that. They're just real. Lol.

  • yeah red chord used to call them selves deathcore but their vocalist, guy, said in an interview he hates the name now czu all these bands are gay and shit now and he said im fucking sorry if i helpsed inspire tese shity badns ha. nd along with a few others the red chord are one of the few 'true' deathcore bands

  • yeah them and Despised Icon.

Because the influences arent mixed. They have strictly Deathmetal parts and they have strictly Hardcore parts. It's wierd though because Mike McKenzie admits to having little to no hardcore influence in his songwriting.

  • shake it like a sickie.

  • prog? well i dont care but this is soo good

  • Saw this live and it was amazing. This band started the scratchy type of logo and now so many scene bands copy it like winds of plague's logo is the the exact same logo style as the red chords

  • red chord is so amazing! and the singer is a really nice guy i talked to him at the expo 5 in louisville ky when they played

  • Sorry Kids, this aint deathcore.

  • what do you consider it?

  • Bad ass is what I consider it. But seriously they kinda have a fusion of styles really. Theres some hardcore, some death, some thrash, experimental bits every now and then. Its hard to give them a label, thats why they are so good in my opinion.

  • wow... a band i actually havent seen live! I hope soon tho!

  • you're right, this isnt grindcore. more deathcore than anything

  • they're good.

  • they're great

  • can someone tell me what the red guitar with the inlay outline is? i know its an Ltd but i forgot the model. played one at samash with EMG pickups and it kicked ass

  • not an LTD its an ESP all ESP guitars have an LTD printed on the head.

  • i would say it was deathcore

  • tell me why i think this is the best red chord song?

  • you tell us

  • This guy is illiterate and pretty stupid.

  • This is God Metal!

Well, they didn't do anything speical, they are just fucking amazing.

  • fuck genres, the only 2 genres are, awesome music and shitty fuck gay music

  • Därav "New wave". Tiderna ändras. Jag lyssnar personligen uteslutande på grind i oldschool maner men det krävs en blind man och ett insnöat sinne för att inte förstå att utveckling sker, på alla håll.

  • NWOGC (NEW WAVE OF GRINDCORE)

  • Grindcore is hardcore punk mixed with thrash or death metal. Old Napalm Death are a good example of Grindcore. This is not.

  • läs mina svar och gråt.

  • they aren't grind THEY ARE FUCKING AMAZING

  • totally agreed.

  • can't wait to see them with gwar

  • lucky. i was gonna go but i was short 10 bucks. rock on there tomorrow

  • lol, my show is in december, but I am rocking on all day everyday

  • i would be out there watching them right now along with JFAC and Gwar! Fuck my life.

  • this is one of my favorites by them.

  • holy shit this song is hyper :)

  • grindcore. and amazing grindcore. i fuckin worship mike mckenzie

  • This is NOT grindcore

  • this is grindcore with some deathcore influences. btw genres are gay

  • Will see them tonight!!

  • I prefere The Red Shore , but this band is good :D

  • lol the red shore is white belt shit

  • why are emo kids so bad at karate? because they cant get past the white belt!

  • same here

Going to see TRS in about a week, its going to be crazy

  • Powerful deathcore.

  • i seen them at ozzfest 06 got a pic and sigs it was awesome trc for lifeeeeee

  • Intense video!

  • $50 Music video XD!!!!!! sweet ass though

  • Melvins song is much better.

  • breakdown? so what? it`s good music!

  • to those of you saying its organized noise and garbage thats a little thing called off beats and using timings most bands could never stay sequenced in and this music is simply an aquired taste from people who appreciate all types of metal because in the end its fuckin brutal and a perfect way to jam out after a shitty day of work

  • :):)

  • fuck yah man \m/

  • isn't all music organized noise?

  • different genres.

  • I personally think Shpongle is the best of all ;)

  • it bugs me that the only reason people listen to this music is the breakdowns. dont get me wrong, i love my breakdowns, but theres more to this genre than that.

  • Not really.

    I PLAY THIS MUSIC.

I'm not hating. but its pretty much organized noise.

Then you fight invisible ninjas when the music gets slower.

Because.. slow music is the time when ninjas attack.

    So.

  • Organized noise is essentially music...is it not? Also, you'd have to be more specific when you say "this genre." The Red Chord's definitely one of the more diverse bands that I'm familiar with. Half of The Red Chord's fans love every aspect of their songs and enjoy their grindcore and death metal influences, and the other half are there for the breakdowns, mostly.

  • lol "i'm waiting for the breakdown" yeah i bet you like hardcore dancing too...

  • then why even waste your time posting a comment. i dont like justin timberlake, but i dont leave comments on his music videos.

  • And the breakdown you're expecting doesn't come, does it? Because they're actually different than most other bands.

  • the red chord has SOME breakdowns but only when it will make the sound sound better they dont just throw random breakdowns every track that dont make seance because that is what most what ever you call it core bands do.

they truly separate them selves away from the rest and that is why most respect them.

  • NICE

  • my band is supporting these guys in July. Am fucking too stoked for words. We are guna get so owned!!!!

  • so many bands out there that sound the same...

  • fucking love the red chord. saw them a few years back with between the buried and me, the end, and cephalic carnage! i basically pitched a tent in my pants all throughout that show

  • i hope you were in the front row or in the shitter the whole show....

  • it was just a joke there, goat. it basically meant that all the bands that played there were fucking amazing.

  • that would be such an awesome show the red chord and Between the Buried and Me two of my favorite bands!

  • hell yeah! and cephalic carnage would have been amazing too

  • Comment removed

  • I just met the bassist of this band, Greg Weeks, and he confirmed that this is death metal. He's a pretty badass guy too

  • do you know what i am Greg Weeks and id remember if i ever met a fuck face like you, you fuckin freakybeast....thx for the badass complement tho.....fucker

  • um... okay... if you really are greg weeks I could easily confirm that you recently went to hanover high school in Massachusetts.

  • I would probably say they are a metalcore band (think metal with ACTUAL Hardcore [Nowadays referred to incorrectly as just 80s punk ]) in the spirit of Napalm Death. There really isn't any mainstream band like the Red Chord, they don't water down their music with crappy guitar solos like a lot of modern metal bands that don't realize that playing really fast scales isn't very impressive.

  • fuck you.

  • i agree with plantman and sicrick i dont get why they label music as core either the only one i understand is hardcore but the other ones to me i just consider to be metal or death metal

  • Well Mike said I'n an interview that he doesn't label their music as anything except for some kind of noisy band. I think the reason they call their band grindcore metalcore or whatever is just to appeal as their terms which are used quite alot to describe metal nower days. Personly i think those styles are bullcocks and dont really say anything about a style within the metal genre.

  • fucking well said brother

  • fucking sick!

  • Deathcore ftw!!!

  • wtf is this core shit? literally, as far im concerned this is still fuckin metal

  • I know dood. I question myself saying, why the fuck are they in label as Core? like fuck. I don't see the core

  • ppl are that closeminded that they make sub-genres of an already made genre.....METAL....keep it metal bro

  • i think they are grindcore

  • this has more grind than core, especially now. Fuck most, maybe even all deathcore
