I want to buy one but I have no experience. Wich helicopter would you advice for me before I go to the T-Rex 700? My goal is to buy it and make aerial footage with my dslr later on.
I also used 5d2 with tripod for heli aerial shooting, but I found that there was lots of shaking problems that come from 5d2 structure. I have make a stabilization in FCP or AE it cannot fix.(It seems the image has distorted)
My friend said this is the camera lens structure problem.
@tingtingking7 - I do not own one of these, but talked to someone who has shot heli DSLR. His mount is specifically built, similar to the one in this vid, and he used an anti-vibration plate. Search for "ANTI VIBRATION DSLR camera mount" on Ebay for something similar.
He said these helicopters are not hard to use, but very hard to master. And potentially dangerous. A full powered blade can slice your arm off.
Better to find someone who has one, and hire them, than buy your own.
@Darius12235 i fly model aircraft myself. It doesn't take yeeears of training to fly a helicopter (even though it is difficult and quite hard to master). Plus you can learn yourself.
