  • The full edition of The Krypton Factor Heat 11 from 1984 has been uploaded which is in 3 parts.

  • I can't hear anything on this video.

  • Challenge is now showing the 1993 series of The Krypton Factor

  • That reminds me of Cybermorph for the Jaguar.

"Where did you learn to fly?"

  • Awesome music this, can just remember it too - good times...

  • Best Titles EVER for KF

  • if ket did game show themes.

  • Has anybody got the full episode of this Krypton Factor clip or any of the earlier ones preferably from 1977-1985 at all? or the 1995 full episode?

  • @tracyos369 2 editions from 1984 are now uploaded on Youtube.

  • Hhhhmmm, whilst I don't appear to have any conscious memory of these titles, my subconscious seems to be alerting me to having once been moderately traumatised by them.

  • I thought this theme was 1983-1985.

Why is the 1977-1982 full themes so hard to find ?

  • The theme tune is 1983-1985, in 1983 the programme had a different title sequence to the one in the clip

  • Wow, Colin looks closer to 69 than 39.

  • Gordon Burns is a legend in the North West!

  • you have entered the virtual twlight zone ,

  • Is that the same Krypton K used in the 1995 series??

  • No it is not, it is the K symbol that was used from 1980 to 1985

  • What was the 1995 Krypton Factor K like??

  • The K symbol in the 1995 series is similar to the early 80s K symbol but it is a slightly different font.

  • Inverdarroch88 - Search YouTube for 'Krypton Factor Super Round Grand Finale'. The K appears throughout, on the contestants tops, the computer screens etc.

They should never have changed it from the famous one with the red circle, which would morph into a runner, and such.

  • Why does this video shrink itself? I like this intro but really it should cover the whole screen.

  • It was in full screen for a while but this has happened to a few of my videos

  • add "&fmt=18" to the end of the video link, it makes it appear in mpeg quality.

if it has "&somethingelse" at the end of the link, delete that first.

  • It worked!

  • heres one thing i cant quite get my head round. why did granda, in 1995, totally rearrange a show which had millions of viewers into a total farce. like countdown it was an ageless format so what was with the face lift?

  • I don't know, but as the seasons progressed, the rounds seemed to get progressively easier. It didn't seem to appeal to any more viewers when they changed from a Screentest-like memory round to a land-the-fly-by-wire simulator game. The Adventure Game made the same mistake, trying to appeal to a wider audience and ending up appealing to nobody. They should have kept the format and maybe made the rounds harder, because their core viewers were mostly geeks and intellectuals.

  • Nice one, allenjeremy. I remember these opening titles from 84/85. Thanks mate! Also, it would be very nice indeed if the Krypton Factor was shown again somehow, with some of the shows from the early years, and show the comparisons from 77/85 (5 Rounds, different opening/closing titles, different Krypton K, the scoring system for certain rounds etc) and 86/93 & 95 (6 Rounds, straight 10, 6, 4, 2 scoring for every round etc). Thanks for the video again, allenjeremy.

  • There is a rumor that ITV are planning to revive The Krypton Factor but if it is coming back who would you think will host it.

  • Really, for me, there is/was only one person for the job, and that is the legend that is Gordon Burns. GB is still on North West News, and doing a very good job as always, so he's fine in his current role. However, I feel if the programme is revived, there will be a different presenter. I couldn't have a guess who though, as there could be many candidates. I hope it would be contestants throughout the UK, and not Celebrity versions, if the programme made a comeback mate.

  • they should bring the Krypton Factor back

  • It is returning on Thursday January 1st 2009 at 7.30 on ITV1

  • The 1995 theme tune is my favourite

  • This Krypton Factor theme tune is on the TV Theme Tunes Website as well as the Art of Noise and the 1995 version.

  • The 1995 version isn't on there.

  • Has anyone got any opening titles from 1980-82 ?

  • I did see a little snippet of the 1982 opening titles on a programme about game shows that aired on Channel 4 in 2005.

  • you have 3 editions allenjeremy, is they any way you could upload them or e-mail them to me if possible?? i would really like to see the old editions of the krypton Factor.

  • they only showing krypton factor for 1 week only on challenge!! how rubbish! see what virgin 1 has to offer.......

great upload btw!! have u got full programme??

  • I have 3 editions from 1984.

  • which editions? this is obviously one of the heats, is one of the others the grand final?

  • The editions I have are Heat 11, the 4th semi final & the final.

  • take it those are all the ones with Pat Everitt in

  • I'd like to see those.

  • I've checked Radio Times website: Krypton Factor is on Virgin 1 6-7am... and on Challenge 7-8am every weekend (Sat-Sun)

  • Krypton Factor is coming back onto challenge and onto virgin 1 as well, early in the morning of course. Bet you they will be showing 1987-1992 again!

  • Onto Virgin 1 as well?

  • apparently, I was looking at tv schedules on some other website and krypton factor was on that channel as well as challenge. on challenge think it starts new years eve

  • Cheers for uploading this :-)
