It might be safe to say that the majority of the flying public are not aware that airbus aircraft utilize fly-by-wire technology. It is my personal opinion that the fly by wire system on this aircraft failed, sending the plane out of control. Airbus aircraft are dangerous. look at the incidents involving airbus aircraft and compare them to the safety record of boeing and MD. No comparison. Boeing and MD make the best aircraft hands down. Only fighters need fly-by-wire.

My point is that NO the USBP did not send Blackhawks all the way from the US for this SAR and that the AP is just using file footage of them for this report. I have read several other sources on this crash and no mention of those assets being used for the search.

Its sad that there arent parachutes available for each passenger for emergencies in large planes. I like the way some of the small planes land safely with parachutes during emergencies, this parachute is a standard option that comes with the plane.
