Few people in the world can understand the beauty of that time piece. The craftmanship involved on this "shell" is astonishing... I want to congratulate the maker, Mr. Pahlow, for sharing with the few choosen ones his marvellous "work of love" on the metal of the kings...
I dare to expose my own criation for those wanting to see. My rendition of moon phase complication out of cheap materials.
Again, thank you and congratulations, Mr. Pahlow!!!
Hello First of all thx for the marvelous series of videoes.
It's very reassuring to see old craft's being practiced still. Watchmaking has made our civilization and will hopefully keep us conscious about patience and the importance of making good work.
One question:
It's very hard to see how the golden tampons at the hinges ends up being fixed.
Do you heat them up as well or is the gold soft and expanding enough to fix them just with the hammer?
No, I did not make this movement, but in the past I replaced many parts of repeaters if swiss made, breguet made uso.
You have to use these pickling procedure because of the remains of solder aids like borax, also to eleminate poor quality metal of the alloy as copper.
I need, let me say, minimum five days making a simple watchcase from scratch.

@Skumpaj
The tampons are only pressed in (friction tight).

Absolute Super Videos and absolute fantastic watchcase!!!
Have watched every single part of this series and absolutely love all your videos and I really admire your patience and craftmanship!
Thank you very, very much for putting them up for all of us to see.
Did you also build the movement for this watch?
why do you have to use the acid and the ammonia ?
How long did it take in the end to complete this watchcase?
Thank You again!
