@KyodaiKen1979 THAT was a MAJOR episode where Clark FINALLY told Lana his secret, it was a BIG reveal... it was not about the proposal! that was an added bonus becoz it showed that when the lies are out of the way, thee is nothing to stop him from marrying her!
and guess what... even if they are DOOMED, he still proposed, that QUALIFIES TRUE love, UNLIKE seeing the future and then GO FOR IT!
I did like the Clark+Lana thing on the early series of Smallville, it made a really cute pairing (well, they were never really a pair), and there were some great episodes involving these two, but unfortunately, imo, Lana got rather annoying after about 4 seasons, they took the will they/won't they thing a bit too far, he'd lust after her, she'd finally give in, he'd do something bad, she'd feel betrayed...endless episodes ending with them in the barn, it got rather repetative.
thats season 9 or so because clark can fly in germany is in moment season 8 and clark can t fly so that must be later and he takes lana because she is the best
im an american living in germany..and here in germany we are WAY behind...about 2 seasons if im not mistaken... google Project-free tv and you can watch ALL the episodes from smallville...but they are all in english, in the U.S. last week, we had hawkeye + Dr.Faith as well as the Justice Society of America already in it... This really was the coolest proposal ever..! Clark really pulled out all the stops on this one. My friend got proposed to on a glacier recently in Alaska, and I imagine it had a scenic backdrop more or less like this one... lucky!!!

Well,now in the midle of season five (!) they did another (!) Clana U-turn episode.
Meaning, it looks like they finaly definite get together,just to hit the reset button
probably 15 mins into the episode. What realy pissed me off at that stage in
the show was that i realised they would never ever let this screen-couple have
a positive storyline but waste it further down the line for melodramatic effect
