Beautifully crafted scooter. I prefer a shorter wheelbase on my choppers but this bike is gorgeous. There is no denying that a 650 Desmo engine is plenty of power. My two most favorite Stock Ducs is the 650 and 750 Indiana. I should start looking around for a wrecked Duc and build a new ride.
It's different. Good job on the build, carb seems to be a bit large for it, or is running rich. As for the comment on whipping a Harley's ass. I doubt that. I have learned through my many years of experience if someone compares a lesser machine to another it is based in envy. So just suck it up and go play with your honda civic. YUPPIE. Seriously tho, nice build man.
This is a good way how people can use a stolen Ducati take the engine and build a chopper whit out a license and dont take care for the law. This is only a way how you can do it for example. Every Year a lot of Ducs are stolen and noone incl. the insurance company is able to find the bike or even the parts they are even gone.
@discoandrede now, now, besides, isn't this 650 really a Cagiva engine? Like in the Elephant. As an aside, I had 3 Cagiva 500WMX bikes. good power but handled like a lead sled, like a Honda 650 dual sport. I also had a MotoMorini 501 Camel. All c1986. Oh, and a Cagiva 125 MX c1984
Thats a combo you dont see! Samduffield -That looks comfortable? Your feet are WAY forward, and any bump from the hard tail frame go's right up your spine.
this is a sweet authentic lookin ride, i love the way uv made this,no massively expensive parts just a good sexy use what you have and made the most of it,,,propper biker well done mate :)
Cool bike, needs an ape hanger and chromed front end. It's either, burning rich or the engine is smoking. Nice project though, congratulations and enjoy it.
HI Tommy , I have the motor and wheels on the jig, I am building a hardtail with gsxr '91forks raked at ~33 degrees. I am going to put ape hangers on and paint everything matt back. I will build tank my self with help. lots to do.
Dude you are building very nice bikes man!I'm giving you Awesome Rating! And let me ask you about the documents? Can you get a title for this if you making the frame by yourself! And who gives a f*ck about this bad comments on your video because they don't know how difficult is to build such a bike in Europe specially in the poorer countries!I know because I'm from Bulgaria and I know what costs to build such a chopper in Europe and the same in USA!
Ducati Indianas are very rare... only about 1000 650s were ever made. Many have been destroyed like this one. Some for deposition of motors in Cagivas. Ducati Indianas handle great and, except for carbureation mandated by our ineffective government, were terrific runners (European Indianas had proper Del'lortos). Anyway please don't hack these bikes apart. They are attractive, fast, great handlers and are genuinely rare. Further, they will be worth oodles someday.
HI-TPFAFF100. i have had 3 -indianas ,and still have my 750-indy. they were all BLACK and look crap. DUKES WERE MEANT TO BE RED SO i painted 2 off them red and removed the large rear -guard. i like the idea of a single-carb an 883-harley-carb should-do. i have allready thought of using oneTHE 650- CHOPPER IN THE VIDEO is mostly running on 1 -cylinder at low revs. and idling far too-low .the carb -manifolds-should be equal-length + shorter. and i think he is using an MZ-JAWA-2-STROKE-CARB
It would be nice to have brakes though.
