i did this after watching this, i managed once, then got cocky and tried it again and my Epiphone Les paul Custom sung over my shoulder, the straps all togetehr including the screw and the strap locks ripped out and the neck snapped. worst day of my life.

You can do it without using strap locks by using ducktape (or however you spell it). Thats what i use and its a lot cheaper and it serves the same purpose.

If schaller straplocks keep falling out, it's because of their smaller screws. Dunlop straplocks have very large screws so won't come loose at all. And they don't rattle as much as the schallers. But Dunlops are in my opinion more ugly, so it's your choice what you think is important

Strap Locks don't really work that well. They strip the wood when you do anything with them. I jump, the screw comes out, I toss it a bit, the screw comes out. THEY DO NOT WORK!
