  • Great tutorial! Thanks for the batch processing info, that rocks!

  • awesome tutorial

  • fill opacity to zero for the effect.. money shot. 5:30 seconds if you just wanna do the effect to one image ...thanks!!!!

  • Love it but hard to see - the resolution is very low. I really need this tute!!!

  • Oh cool a tutorial on how to ruin pictures.

  • Why is photoshop so hard a bunch of nerds made this program huh?

  • 13 minutes is not "Fast"

  • Thank you! that was great! And for those of you wanting him to slow down, theres actually a pause and play button on the video. You can actually pause, rewind, and play the video as much as you want for free. and if you don't understand, then you need to master the basics of photoshop before moving on to this, even though this is pretty easy stuff. But either way, good luck!

  • You are a bunch of clowns. Couldn't be any more straight forward and I'm a beginner !

  • Was it photo of the week because it's supposed to be good? I dono but thanks for the tutorial!

  • God why do you just fly right through the trickiest parts and stagnate on the simple things. AAARRGHHH!

  • Fast... no, it took him 13 minutes....

  • 240.... we meet again...

  • are you kidding me? I can't even understand your English and I am American. Slow down please. Wow.

  • @kamjharmon like being an american makes a difference on your hearing ability. wtf. His english is fine!

  • Need this for "intermediate" users. If I was an advanced user like this guy, I wouldn't need the tutorial. This is waaaay to advanced and complicated for most users. This guy has no idea who his audience is, and how to teach. The info is probably good if I could keep up. Split this into two tutorials.

  • wow, no clue

  • the worst tutorial ever. sorry.

  • AArrgghhh! To much information editing your logo. Just give the basic steps! and it is true... you move a little to fast!

  • Comment removed

  • i only opened the video to make the comment that it says "Wantermark your photos FAST"... and the video is almost 13 minutes long.... nice!

  • wow...i couldnt finish it...eerr

  • I got lost at the part of deleting the layer 1 from the action. That totally skrews up the action. I'll try to figure it out though. Maybe next time, write out your instructions so you aren't going back to do things afterwards that should be done in the beginning. Thanks though, I did learn some new things.

  • If you would have had your watermark completed and ready to apply before your explanation it would have been very helpful! Too much detail on how to "perfect" your watermark and too little detail on how to apply it in a batch. I was a little bored before we got to the initial topic. You know a lot about what you are doing and it is helpful- but I am exhausted! Thanks anyway!

  • My mind hurts! hahaha! Anyway.. thanks for the tutorial! ^_^

  • not working, says no pixels were selected, since the new layer we make before we fill is empty......

  • I was lost in 2 minutes O.o

  • Ok, Everything works.. but! the copies (after Play) arent as contrastic as I recorded.. WHY? Tryed many times.. even compleatly logo becomes black and gray..

    ???

  • @PiotrHTour Same happened to mine and I am just saving the look of the watermark and drag it into every picture now its way easier, takes long though.

  • I find this to be somewhat informative but The video quality is HORRIBLE! I can't read any of the dialog boxes you're working in making it VERY difficult to follow.. :(

  • Every thing worked nice, thanks. I have one problem though, the path and the watermark show up on two spots when i align it. is there anything i have to delete to get rid of the path form my action or align it with my with my watermark

  • Legend! You are a legend!

  • HEY i did this in CS 4 and it worked now i have installed cs5 on my new Computer.

in cs 5 it always opens up the layerstyles dialogue box and i have to hit enter.. do you have any idea to get rid of this issue?

  • bla bla, get on with it.

  • How do I override the save as commend?

  • @itzJoePeezy You've probably figured it out by now. But for everyone else who is wondering, what you have to do is save as while recording the action (right at the end). This will put a save action in the actions dialogue box. You can then tick the box to override the save as.

  • @Lightnote11 Thanks, but yeah I figured it out a few hours after posting the comment cuz I really needed it done that night haha but thanks anyway.

  • you are speaking soooo fast !!! O_O

  • So, I've recorded an action and gone through the batch processing box with everything set properly, but the photos don't show up as saved in the destination folder. Why is this and how do I fix it? :(

  • this looks like it takes a fucking long time

  • would be a great tutorial if the guy took more time and gave some step by step details

  • @mbshmfic1 I agree, I was lost after 3 minutes

  • too much talking

  • HI when i go to try and add my watermark to all my photos at once i get a message " the command "feather" is not currently available. and then i get the options of continue or stop... why is that???

  • Holy moly fudging doodle that's very complicated

  • would it work if i make pic and lower opacity and the copy and paste?

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks Man! =D

  • Sloooow down, please. I'm searching "how to" because I'm a beginner at this!

  • This would be better if the screen was in focus, or clearer

  • Its not fair cuz i Have adobe photo shop on my othercomp. Is there any other programs that it will work on?

  • Thank you :D

  • thats a very complicated way of teaching a batch watermark process.

  • how can i keep people from using my images from my website?

  • i found out that it isnt working with my landscape photos, but it is working on portrait?

  • it doesnt work for mine.

it might be because im on a mac but the first two photos worked then the next few popped up with "no pixels selected" and just saved with a grey wash over it.

i dont know whats going on there :(

    but awesome video :)

  • nice video give you alot of credit...but there are easiers ways of doing this and just having a copyright over it, but nice way of having a company logo over it

  • I created the name "John Doe" in illustrator and saved as an .ai file to use as my test logo.

I able to duplicate the final watermark, but when I apply what I've recorded to another picture the logo is "fuzzy".

Can anyone tell me why this is happening ???

  • Thank you very much!!

  • thanks for this... (Though there is nothing very fast or even straight forward about it, -which is why your video is so helpful. What I would like it to be able to put a plain black or white border outside of the jpeg, (or just a bar along the bottom in which to put, the name of the image, and/or my name, copyright.. whatever - anyone know of a program to does this? (for XP or or OS X) _or if photoshop can do it (ve not figured how yet). I have photoshop 7 for windows and CS on the mac.. --tx

  • The right title is: How to prepare a watermark for your photos (i think)

  • Make your own brush its muuuuuch faster ;)

    just my tipp :)

  • If you want to get straight to the point of this tutorial, go to 09:09

  • so this is FAST huh .... screw that

  • Short = 12minutes xD

  • @Frans000003 your dumb it takes like 2 mins to make the watermark and set the action. it takes like 2 seconds to watermark photos after. he is explaining it so it takes longer. learn to use your brain.

  • water mark in photoshop cs5

check it out in my channel

    thank you!

  • I wondered about how it precisely works for CS3...

  • this video upload is so blessed

and amazing to the highest level

    wow brother u amazing thank

    you because you are amazing

  • plz make 1 min video!!! noobs

  • Do you want to learn 90 most professional photoshop tricks? if yes then get it now from freephotoshop .t k

  • Duuude.

This is the most complicated tutorial I have followed.

I been watching your video for over 2hrs...just cant get it to work !

Be more direct to the point !

  • if i skip back in the video it starts again from the start man. lame

  • how do i make it so it saves as a png, gif or jpeg instead of a psd? and also i clicked the override save-as and it processed everything for about 10 minutes and there was nothing in the folder???

  • save as > choose jpeg,png etc..

  • what are water marks for ?

  • @lillen300 So you make sure that IF someone wants to copy your picture(s), your name/logo is on it, and no other can claim the photo is taken by themself.

  • @lillen300 So no one will be able to "steal" your photos and take credit for them.

  • well is it illegal to put copyright lillen300 on a picture?

  • @lillen300 not if it's your picture.

  • @chibin3ko well thanks :) a friend of mine said i had to buy the copyrights before i put them on an image XD

  • Did anyone else have use CS3 and have an issue while batch processing? Mine would not complete the action-it cited 'set command not available'.

  • Tutvid, can you do this also by using the type tool and a font, and typing in your signature as well?

  • Can you do this in elements 7 and how do you make a logo?

  • Thank you really helps

  • Same for me, goes though the watermarking, then the folder is empty.

  • somewhat figured it out. It's not saving them as .jpg files is there a way to add that to the action?

  • you are correct! it does not save as jpeg, so i did not check the override save as and just chose jpeg after every file, all 352 of them.. OUCH!

  • you just have to add the step of saving the first one as a jpeg, and it'll add a save step to your watermark action

  • how do i do that? can you please PM me, thanks!

  • what am i doing wrong? It doesnt save in the folder i choose once i start the batch

  • good video

  • Thanks, I need to see your other videos now.

  • Well done

  • thanks man you made this super simple.

  • спасибо!

  • okay I have made some text with a logo and now need to make a watermark out of it, please help. I have a mac and runnin CS4

  • see thats the problem you have a mac. jk

  • Thank you. Very usefull.

  • i need to create a logo i need help

  • sup bro still need a logo? i can hook u up i u want

  • taking about laziness!!^^

  • there are lots of logo tutorial but if you want a professionnal logo wich can be used in multiple medias or formats you need to have a vector based logo.(unless its going to be used strictly on the web)

you can create a vector logo using photoshop using paths but i strongly suggest you use Adobe Illustrator.

  • THANK YOU!

  • when I press play I keep getting the same double watermark with the path on top. how do I delete this. At the end I am not sure how to add the watermark to all my pictures. i dont know if you mean that we need to make a folder or something. can you explain this to me.

  • saaame! really annoying.. gonna retry & see what happens!

  • I bought a program visual watermark. I just create the watermark in photoshop & just do the rest on the other program. pretty simple.

  • I have a logo with brushes (i am new to photoshop) and i am asking how do i make it a Water Mark?

  • umm,,ok well done

  • you spend too much time talking about drop shadows and embossing, i doubt anyone who found this tutorial was looking for help with that, i didnt find this helpful just mind nummingly boring, ill look for a shorter straight to the point video...

  • Watermarks can be used while youre ''making '' money too ^^'

  • Thanks man

  • Great video. Problem is people will steal them anyway.

  • Free advertising

  • Your right people still steal logo's all the time.

  • Thanks for tutorial.

  • I like this method the best. Easy to do. Thank you for a GREAT Video. By the way, I like your logo. Simple bu very professional. Keep them videos coming

  • Well you can't just steal logos for your own pictures. You gotta make your own design.

  • u dont find them noob u make them

  • nothing happens i press open find my logo then it just pops up a window with the logo only and i can't do anything : /

  • I am watching all of your Photoshop videos because they are the best on YouTube. I had already done an action command watermark for my copyright logo based on using Scott Kelby's description in his book on CS3, but your video explained it in more detail. It made it easier to go back and edit one of the commands as you had showed how to review the action pallet more clearly. Thanks!

  • THANK YOU SOOOOO! MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO :D I spent HOURS! going through 271 photos resizeing them and adding watersmarks. Thanks to you it will take me 20 minutes LOL

  • what a great tutorial thank you

  • wow ive been searching for something like this for hours on photoshop forums then i try youtube and find this excellent video 5/5 .

  • hoolaaaa

  • thanks bud...i always find your tuts useful

  • he's waiting for free trial for photoshop cs4

  • what the hell is wrong with you

  • Good point!

  • its called a microphone UnderOpenWater, if you had a normal microphone i bet ur voice wouldn't be any better than that

  • Not a bad video but if you are going to do this why not put the resize in the action. I recommend watching a video by Russell Brown at his site called Branding in CS2. I always run things from Bridge and then go to tools-Photoshop-Image Processor and you don't ever run into this file saving problem.

  • Great ........ TutoriaL ... Thanks

  • Great tut! Thanks!

  • cool stuff. thanks for sharing. =)

  • Thanks for this... Does anyone know what's good at watermarking video clips??

  • aftereffects

  • Sony Vegas Pro.

  • how can you do this without the silhouette? I made a logo with text inside of it so i can't use a work path silhouette.

  • Thanks helped out alot! :D

  • good vid, all you could have done was de-select the path at the end of the action. it doesn't matter but some people like it perfect

  • It's amazing, thank you for the tutorial. Quite helpful if you need it for images.

  • Major flaw in this when running as batch - all photos are sized off of what size the logo is.

And the whole write up is not on the site.

  • this is great but I have a major question. The images I'm currentely using are 100x100 pixels now when I set my logo the writing actually disappears, just turning into shapes...how do I ensure the writing stays clear?

  • same question here

  • Can someone help me pleaseee! This is a GR8T VID! Thanks Mate! Can i do the same process, but instead exporting the images as PSD's, can I export them to JPEG's??

  • Run it as an action, select the images in bridge, select image processor and save as .jpg

  • OMG!! Thank you soo much!! I just went through 200 photos because I didn't watch this vid! Darn it! Instead of adding a shadow on the watermark, will it still work/ look nice if I did an emboss instead??

  • theres a PAUSE button that can slow it down for you. GREAT TUTORIAL!

  • Pretty good tutorial, but you know, you need to slow down as if you are teaching it to a beginner.

  • got it to work but when i try to do batch it tells me "The object "Work Path" is not currently available" any idea what that means?

  • this is a really good video.

    very very helpful.

but i have a problem, im using photoshop 5.5

i have got everything sorted except everytime i try to make a path of the logo i have, but it's not an exact copy of the outline. it cuts corners and looks stupid.

any idea how i can fix this?

  • Great, informative video tutvid! Keep 'em coming.

  • i can't use my bridge, every time i open it, after about 30 seconds i get e box that says something like i have licencing restrictions, that i have to have at least one adobe application installed and running. if this is the case, it gives me exactly the same message.

    could anyone help?

  • great, however this is not hi-res. I cannot read anything on the screen.

  • put &fmt=18 at the end of the url, and voila, you have better quality. if you can still not read it, the movie just hasnt got enough pixels.

  • Thanks MORE than what I was looking for. Especially wanted to know if CS did batch

  • Send answer to my chanel please.

  • What about if I want to watermark my logo with another small picture from another psd file? I have no problem record all my actions. But when i try to play it afterwards. Photoshop tells me it can do the move action. This is the move action that I used to move my logo from my first psd photo file to my desired jpg file.

Any suggestions then on how to automate a batch process to add a smaller image (my logo into a larger one???

    Please answer fast!

  • Nice but a wallpaper artist like myself wouldn't tolerate a gigantic picture in the middle of the real prize like that.

  • nice vid thnx

  • Estuve aprovechando lo excelente de tus TUTORIALS, me quedo corto al decirte firmemente muchas gracias.

Me resultó magnificamente provechoso, que la fortuna te acompañe. Thank´s

  • Nice watermark tutorial! ^^

  • Thank you!! :D

  • Great tutorial, thanks a mil. Very useful for other batch actions aswell. Anyone know why the "folder" option is the only one available in the "source" dropdown? Sometimes I only want the action applied to certain files. I assume I need to select them somewhere so that this option becomes available, but where to do this?

  • There are two ways of doing individual files.

    1. Open Bridge and select the files of interest.

2.Now go Tools>Photoshop>Batch and the drop down menu with now also have "Bridge" available. This processes the selected files.

The second way is to open the files in Photoshop and "Open Files" will become available. This processes all of the files you have open in Photoshop.
