and the heart of the performer melt together and break the heart of the listener!
This may perhaps be one of the sweetest pieces I have ever heard and watched. Makes me wish to be able to sing it with my young firm, sweet voice, lost so long ago!
David thank you for making this grand video. I enjoyed seeing your facial expressions, which indicated you were enjoying it as much as I.
I am sitting here and read/sang the words in my head as you played it so beautifully! I have never heard this song or taken the time to explore Steve Walsh outside of Kansas, but if it is as beautiful as that was!!...I'm missing something! I will be listening to this one of yours many times! Thanks, David.
Dave, it's nice to hear you do something so open and spacious! I love keyboards in music and especially Rock. Most of all I love piano in Rock and this piece is fantastic! I have Schemer Dreamer and just posted some pictures from it to a Kansas tune and it was top of mind when I decided to check your channel out! Small coincidence! Keep it up my friend! Rick (Carlo)
Dave... i think this might be your best.. but I tend to think that every time you do something new... True Walsh/Kansas fans will appreciate this while true music fans will likely do the same
Not overly embellished, as some pianists like to "run the keyboard" to show their range. I like simplistic tunes, but something that shows a range of emotion, as well. Something the player actually puts his teeth into (fingers, in this case)...which is why I prefer ballads on the piano...it gives the pianist a range of emotion, which is something not many instruments allow.
Unbelieveable what you can do. Read the lyrics to the right. True dedication to your art. Tho not really familiar with this piece, I could hear Kansas and Steve Walsh. And have to acknowledge Jimmy...I am indeed honored...Thanks Great piece of music David.
This is a really beautiful piece of music. I loved it. Your playing is just great. I wish I were that good someday too. Well, maybe in the distant future? :) You're amazing!
I'm with deb,and all the other comments your playing is awesome.
I live in the US but I had to laugh. my folks were Swedish and Norwegian. when you said the land of Bach,Handel, and Beethoven. All I could think of is ABBA and A-Ha lol
thanks for another great played song. you keep the integrity :)
Can you or anyone upload the original song? Dave's rendition is outstanding (as with all of his work) and now I need to hear the voice. I have the album but no way to play it. Thanks
Hey Dave, when I think of the whole concept of "Leftoverture" I think of you and your music and scores, and your travels across time and the universe to deliver your music and save a society. Wow! I dont know if thats what the albums about, but thats my wild concept! :) Love this song dude!
Dave we should get a Kansas copy band together. That would be cool. You on Keys and the one drummer friend of ours who does the Kansas and Rush videos.:) Remember on the Freaks tour they had Greg Roberts holding down most of the keys while Walsh was free too run around and get crazy! That was my favorite tour!
A new one... from 'the great Master' ! :-) and i,m not to late... to subscribe! ;-) so sensitive how you play dear David.. thanks 'for sharing', with love Marilyn
Wonderful way to wake up this morning!! Another beautiful piece of work from you, my friend! Love the passion & feelings you put into your playing. Great job! Peace/Love
Just How It Feels feels really great David my dear! Again the way you play this song is with such emotion! And I still love to see how you feel while you are playing. Thank you for sharing this with us Dave.
