  • going from manny to this. i felt like someone hit the slow mo button

  • he sounds punch drunk

  • were is his translator??

  • i feel like when im boxing someone and they were ducking and bobbing that often i just wanna knee them in the face so bad lol

  • in every boxing video theirs a bunch of cock riding boxing fanatics MMA ALL DAY! fuck boring ass boxing

  • @tuboricua123 boxing would be cool.....if they could grapple, knee, kick, and clinch also

  • @tuboricua123 LOL ur complaining about boxing fans on a boxing video lol. So i guess boxing fans cant watch boxing.

Most retarded comment ever. Talk about dickridin, how about gettin ur face mounted in MMA..MMA is a second rate sport. call me when they dont grind on the floor for 5 mins each round like a bunch of boring homo's

  • @AlexiusMoore i'm not complaining, i'm stating facts. all you dickridin boxing faggots think your STYLE is the best when its not. its just a another tool to use in standing combat. and you're talking about boring? how about hugging every 2 seconds for about 3 hours till someone pulls you apart. and how is mma a second rate sport? lol are you blind? numbers don't lie.

  • @tuboricua123 Boxing is the most efficient martial art. u would know if u knew anythin about Combat sports. Fastest way to win a fight is to land A GOOD PUNCH ON THE CHIN.

Huggin every 2 seconds??... ok lol that never happens, for 3 hours?? Lol shows how u know fuck all.

What numbers?? U talkin about Ufc ppv numbers that can't match boxing? yea ok.. or the numbers on the mma fighters checks that is 10 times less than those of boxers

  • @AlexiusMoore lol im done, you obviously know NOTHING about anything. good day sir

  • @tuboricua123 yea go away before u embarass urself even more

  • @AlexiusMoore lmao shut up

  • stay out of MMA you fat fuck big mouth was so great watching you get your ass whooped wanna be gangster

  • james is so relax in here and can see all the punches comming

  • The illusive one,the greatness of a boxer is always in his defense,Toney is a specialist!!

  • i dont no how people say its beter to graple in a street fight, its all about striking in street fights, not just boxing, muay thai even karate, an the simple fact is because people bit an poke so yeno beter to strike in a fight allways will be, but ye in a controled fight submishon experts do have a good advantage

  • reakky his height is 5'10"?i cant believe

  • every time a boxing or MMA video is created, the first thing that happens is that people compare one to the other. Thats so stupid. Its like saying "Dude, Football is way tougher than hockey!" Its two different sports, stop it.

  • @jtwidmer That's a very stupid comment. Why? Because boxing is a huge part of MMA. It's not like the difference between a marathon runner and a basketball player. It's more like the difference between rugby and football. Sure football has a different ball, different gear and all, but they are very similar.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros I disagree. Obviously Boxing is part of MMA, but thats like saying hockey and baseball are the same because they both use sticks. I'm not denying that you're correct in the similarities, you're of course right. but when we compare the two it is I believe stupid because while boxing is part of MMA, its a different style of boxing to a point that its almost not boxing. Defending kicks knees elbows take downs, fighting from the ground etc make them different enough imo

  • @jtwidmer Well no not really. Wanna know why? Here's why. I believe boxing is best for MMA in larger weight classes - middle, light and heavy weight. That's why guys like Anderson, Vitor, Rampage, JDS and Velasquez are dominant. You are right that having to defend kicks and knees and elbows makes it different, but at the same time there's 4 oz gloves. 4 oz gloves make it much easier to KO someone and your hands are the best ON AVERAGE way to KO someone. That's why if you have textbook boxing you

  • @jtwidmer can apply it to QUICKLY win fights. Kicks and knees they take some time to set up. For example Hunt vs Cro. Cro keeps setting up that left kick with jabs and finally lands it later in the round. If you go out there and apply textbook boxing your opponent won't have the option of kicks and elbows, only to reply with boxing or shoot for a takedown. Finally, small guys are athletic. They can do kicks, they can do flying knees. But you know what, a 250 lbs guy can't do spinning back kicks.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros I'm not sure how applying textbook boxing disables an opponent from doing leg kicks and elbows or knees, all of which any 250 lbs guy can do with no problem. I'm not at all stating there isn't a lot of legitimacy to boxing, of course there is. But, as shown in Toney v Couture, or Art Jimmeson v Royce Gracie, MMA and boxing are different enough that bringing strictly the techniques of one to the other doesn't work.

  • @jtwidmer Sylvia - Mercer. Shinya Aoki - kickboxer guy. Every time anyone mentions Couture and Toney I mention Sylvia Mercer back. Never forget. Toney is nowhere near as relevant as Couture and he lost. Jimmerson is a no name boxer and Gracie was the BEST EVER at what he does. Bring in Tyson against Gracie and you'll be in for brutality. Now back on topic. Look at most MMA fights - they're like 2 minutes long. And boxing is THE BEST martial art for short fights. It doesn't require buildup, like

  • @jtwidmer kickboxing or BJJ do. Now I'm 260 lbs and I know, trust me, that a 160lbs guy can kick much better than me, but never punch as hard. Kicks are risky for big people, because they can lose their balance. Sure, you can't just bring techniques over from boxing to MMA. But you gotta understand that boxers aren't gymnasts. They don't "learn" these moves they have them in them. And most guys like Tyson come from a street fighting background, I'm sure they didn't get "taken down" just because

  • @DestroyerAlexandros I'm sorry, I'm not sure I'm following what you mean in your first sentence "Kickboxing or BJJ do". I'm not trying to be smart I'm just misunderstanding what you mean. And sure, you'll punch much harder, but in sports, thats why they weight classes make so much difference. If we're talking street fighting, thats a whole new ball game. And I agree kicks are risky for big guys, but, leg kicks are devastating and easy for anyone to do. (hang on character limit.)

  • @jtwidmer Well sure kicks are devastating, submissions are lovely too, I love submission grappling, I think it's probably one of the funnest things I've done in my life. Also kicking is great, I've sparred some karate guys and can appreciate how devastating a kick to the ribs can be. But if I'm in a situation where I have to defend myself in an uncontrolled environment, I'd pick to use boxing as my primary weapon any day of the week. It's just the most battle tested. (Continues)

  • I agree with all you're saying but, I think all you said after "You gotta understand" demonstrates why I don't think its real fair/valid to look at boxing and MMA as the same sport. Again, no disrespect to boxing (I'm an MMA guy myself) because certainly a BJJ guy would be destroyed in a boxing match against a boxer.

  • @jtwidmer they knew textbook technique. It's not like you go out of the ring and you no longer have the boxing skills. A boxer goes to MMA, he'll stick out his foot and get kicked a few times. He won't just keep standing there, he'll time the next kick and put your lights out with a right hand. You gotta understand that these guys are THE best athletes in the world, they are VERY adaptive, trust me. Their skills are instincts for them, not a liability.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros oh, boxers are incredible athletes! I would agree, the best. But I don't think that makes them better fighters than mixed martial artists, not at all. Also keep in mind, a boxer can put your lights out but a MMA guy isn't gonna throw a leg kick with his chin stickin out. Again, I just think this shows why the 2 sports are so different from one another.

  • @jtwidmer Yes, of course going into MMA with pure boxing would be stupid. Because if we consider every technique you know skill points, you could know almost everything about boxing, but you'd still be at a disadvantage against a guy who knows half of boxing plus half of wrestling plus half of BJJ. However, I do thing boxing is the best platform for MMA. Here's why, if you start boxing late you will never quite get used to the pain of hits like a guy who has done this since youth. (Continues)

  • @jtwidmer But a guy striker who starts grappling late can progress faster, because in grappling you don't take hits like that. If you fight Marcelo Garcia, he'll put you in an anaconda choke and you'll tap out, then rest a few mins and go at it again. If you fight Pacquiao he'll give you a concussion and you'll have to stay in bed for 3 weeks, delaying your development. Also, the more MMA progresses, the more strikers we see dominating - JDS, A Silva, GSP (he's both), Nick Diaz, Velasquez (both)

  • @DestroyerAlexandros I agree, strikers are becoming dominant, but MMA striking and boxing are to me, two very different things. Again, just because of what you have to defend. Plus consider the glove sizes, that makes a big difference as well. As for going at it again, not in a match you won't, you lost. Going again would the same as Manny's sparring partners going again. And a concussion can easily, easily come from head kicks and knees as well as GnP.

  • @jtwidmer Yes of course, a lot of knockouts come from GNP but still I believe striking arts are more dangerous that's why it's better to start off with them and then pick up grappling. And you are right the gloves are a big difference but to a good striker the gloves are more of a limitation. They slow down your hands and make your shots less powerful, so going from pro K-1 gloves to pro MMA gloves you will actually feel striking easier IMO.

  • people insulting either MMA or boxing, you're retarded. All of you. Any pro boxer, and any pro MMA fighter, will destroy you. Fact is in a boxing match, the boxer will probably win. In an MMA match, the MMA fighter will probably win. On the street though, I'm going with the MMA fighter, duh. Simply because they have more tools in the toolbox on the street, kind of a no brainer. But anyone saying either sport or athlete of either sport suck, are morons and deserve an ass kicking.

  • 1:52 the funniest toney imitation ever

  • you will never see better boxing technique then in this video the best natural boxer i ever seen even if he not in shape

  • james toney is fast, and you have to be when youre at that much of a height and reach disadvantage.

  • Randy waxed hos fat ass all up and down the cage

  • He needs to stop, it was embarrassing to watch him lose to Randy

  • Met james after my first fight.......it was against one of his sparring partners......gave me love and amazing advice for my career nothing but respect for this man. (PS he is fucking HUGEEEE in real life hahah)

  • RANDYYYYYYYYYYY THE NATURALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL COUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. sorry I just had to. dont mind me

  • @kaayvin Fuck off, please.

  • löl_ì_sígnéd_úp_át_fûll_tîlt_põkér

    _úsíñg_rèfërrál_cöde:_yOU600_ãñd_gõt_à_600_dôllar_bönus

  • Toney and Rahman are both bitch negros .

  • hah that was pretty funny when randy couture took him to school

  • @MarkLKJ you mean humped him to death ont the ground? yeah that was pretty gay.

  • @RealDealBoxing13 i dont blame you for making outlandish statements to save your ego and ''sport''

  • @MarkLKJ outlandish? dont try and be a gentleman now after making a comment to purpously insult boxing fans. Also MMA is not a sport they fucking suck. Ive sparred with professional MMA fighters and a Golden Gloves champ is better than they are. See THAT'S the real reason why MMA fighters tell boxers to "get balls and come down to the octagon" cause they can only hump them tehy cant take a punch.

  • @RealDealBoxing13 or they will kick you in the face, snap you're arm or choke you to sleep. boxing is boxing and mma is fighting. no boxer will ever beat an mma fighter because it would end up just like couture vs toney.

  • @JustScrap1996 lol, so Toney, the middleweight who has moved up to Heavyweight, who had been retired from boxing for a few years, decides that for his very first MMA fight, he is going to fight they guy who JUST lost the UFC heavyweight belt less than a year earlier, thats a fucking Joke, lets see a Pacquao vs BJ Penn, thats a fight because you can't actually catch Pac,

  • @MrKushez toney called him out along with brock lesner. and manny would completely destroy him in a boxing match. just like bj would would destroy manny in the cage and same with toney and couture they are two different sports i just dont like when ppl say they are humping each other because untill you actually take part in or train mma you cant enjoy every aspect of the game

  • @JustScrap1996 Toney calls out everyone, it was a ridiculas fight, Kimbo called him out too, Fighters call everyone, its a joke to put Boxers crossover into MMA on James Toney, Their are more boxers world Wide and its a much more competitive sport at the top level than MMA, MMA is just developing and maybe one day it will become an art like MMA, but whenever i watch it, it seems either Panicky or Boring.

  • @MrKushez Dude the whole Toney vs Couture fight was a scam to avenge the Sylvia vs Mercer fight. Dana knew Toney was fat, weak, small and not worth a damn in boxing so he offered him some good money to make a fool of himself. Most of all, Toney is a terrible fighter stylistically for MMA because he's defensive and relies on bobbing and weaving. In MMA you need to be big, strong and constantly on the offensive because you don't have the protection of 10 oz glove

  • @DestroyerAlexandros I 100% agree, although i honestly think that Toney could bust up alot of the current Heavyweight boxers

  • @MrKushez Hmmm I don't know. I'd like to see Toney vs for example Pulev or Odlanier Solis so he'd get pummeled :D I like the guy don't get me wrong but he's outstayed his welcome.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros lol perhaps, regardless of age, Toney will always have that insane defence tho

  • @MrKushez naaaah he's already punch drunk and his footwork never was that good. But he's got crazy upper body movement it's true.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros i havent noticed the Punch drunk part

  • @JustScrap1996 Ray Mercer (boxer) def. Tim Sylvia (mma "fighter")

  • @JustScrap1996 Dude that's terrible petty crap you're pulling. Do you know how boxing originated? It originated from the ancient Greek REAL fighting (UFC is not real fighting sorry, people would kick you if you're on the ground and they'd hit you to the back of the head if you shoot for a takedown) called pancrease. The ancient Greeks were like "out of all the ways to beat your opponent to a pulp, the way that involves using your hands to hit the opponent's head is the most effective in REAL

  • @JustScrap1996 fighting". Sorry to break it to you, but in a real fight you won't be pulling guard on a battlefield covered in sharp objects and fire. Sorry, but MMA is just a sport it's not real fighting. If anything, boxing is the better art to master if you're gonna be fighting for your life.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros then why does the military train jui jitsu?

  • @DestroyerAlexandros thanks so much dude ive been waiting so long to see someone on this website that actually see things truthfully and the way they really are. you will not pull guard in a real fight. all it takes is a good 1 2 combo to end a fight

  • @ljitsu Also in real fights it's very important to be able to clinch. If you hit a guy he'll most likely either turtle up, run away or try to grab you. That's why Thai guys are very tough. Muay Thai is based extensively on clinch fighting BECAUSE it evolved from real fighting. In Thailand human life has the value of a potato. People don't realize that MMA is a sport that evolved from the conditions "we take people from all fighting arts and pit them against each other in a bordered playing

  • @ljitsu field with a mat". Boxing and muay thai for example are sports which evolved from the following conditions: "You fight a guy anywhere at anytime without any rules and you try to hurt him just enough to neutralize him and avoid taking punishment yourself".

  • @DestroyerAlexandros are you fucking retarded? the first sport ever invented was wrestling and they punched so basically it was mma. look up the first olympic sport, its WRESTLING!!! and in a street fight knowing how to not just punch but HEAD KICK, KNEES, ELBOWS, CHOKES AND TAKEDOWNS!!!!!!!!!! your a dumbass if you think having one skill is better then having many.

  • @xcatreyux Here's what - prime Tyson with one skill would fuck up anybody with with many skills in a real fight? Why? Because he only needs one shot. Read "one shot". Not "one shot to the head" or "one shot to the liver". One shot anywhere and they go down.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros ok name me all the guys he took out with just one punch.... umm i dont think there are any. I took a sports history class last year and we studied tyson. in his prime he was an animal but at this point your just being a fanboy.

  • @xcatreyux Two things you're forgetting - he didn't take out guys with one punch because they were pro boxers with incredible defensive skills, incredible chins and did stuff like roll with a punch, chew through their mouthpiece with a punch, etc. Also those are 12 oz gloves. In MMA it's 4 oz gloves and none of these guys can roll with a punch or take the kind of punch guys like David Tua could take. Yes, there are good strikers in MMA who can MAYBE MAYBE take one punch from Tyson but they'd

  • @xcatreyux have to stand with him and would be doomed. Also Tyson in his prime weighed 220 lbs and since in boxing the weigh ins are taken the day of the fight you can only cut like 5-10 lbs successfully. In MMA the weigh in is a day before the fight so you could cut 20-30 pounds and Tyson would be fighting at light heavyweight against guys like Forrest Griffin and Lyoto Machida. Honestly, do you think they'd stand a chance?

  • @DestroyerAlexandros forsure man. The way those guys train is another level compared to tyson. forrest for example would keep him at a distance with his reach and head kick that tyson definitely would respect. He also would be able to submit tyson very easily. no matter how good of a boxer it is they are still just a boxer. he would need a good 5 years of mma to stand a chance against any top names of UFC.

  • @xcatreyux No man sorry. The training that TOP boxers do is cream of the crop. MMA fighters are gassed in 2 rounds. Boxers go 36 minutes without gassing. Yes, there's grappling in MMA which is a bit more tiring but then guys like Lesnar gas in under a round. Tyson would KILL anybody from MMA in standup. 90% of boxers would easily lose in MMA, but the 10% that are the absolute best, that make 100 mil a fight, they are phenomenons in every sense of the word. They'll win anywhere anytime, hence 100

  • @DestroyerAlexandros If boxers like that exist they would step up. So far Ive only seen defeat for the boxers. nobody watches boxing anymore and UFC is way more popular now for a reason buddy.

  • @xcatreyux Dude are you crazy? No boxer like that exists? No MMA fighter like Tyson exists that's what. Those guys are physical specimens - Tyson, Ali, Bowe, Lewis, Vitali. Those guys grew up fighting on the streets, and trust me if what MMA guys like to say is true, that "a boxer JUST gets taken down", those guys wouldn't have turned to boxing to save their lives. Cause you don't JUST do anything to Tyson, got it? The UFC is a bunch of roiders, Strikeforce is where it's at.

  • @xcatreyux Oh and btw why step up? Pacman is making 40 million for his next fight. Why go to the UFC to make 40 grand? The UFC is NOT way more popular. Get out of the US for once man. NOBODY outside of America watches MMA. I watch MMA here and only a bunch of guys that I know watch it too, mostly upper class kids who like all the eccentric stuff - car racing, beatbox, all this.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros MMA is big all over europe and asia. Have you ever heard of pride or strikeforce? they are big in other countries around the world. And to me sports isnt about the money. thats why I like UFC. boxing is a way to make money, look at don king and how they used fighters its a shame how they sellout people and use them for money.

  • @xcatreyux It's true they did use people but MMA is not very popular in Europe trust me. Nobody here knows anything about it. Boxing still is the most popular combative sport like it or not.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros thats where your wrong. ask todays youth who some boxing champs are, they couldnt name any! now ask them who chuck liddell, GSP or randy couture is! the list goes on and on TODAYS combative champions are known in UFC. Boxers live in the old days dude. everytime you name a boxer its somebody from 20+ years ago. so stfu

  • @xcatreyux Yes, you are right, but I have an explanation for this. The UFC scene is much smaller. There's one big organization - the UFC. If you are UFC champ you are widely regarded to be the best in the world in your division. The Strikeforce guys are better IMO, but still regarded 2nd hand. In Boxing you have about 4 BIG organizations, all of which claim to be the best. Also, you have amateurs, which means a constant flow of new names and new talent. More names at the top, harder to remember

  • @DestroyerAlexandros exactly, boxing is to sold out and watered down. back in the day there was one champion in boxing and thats why everybody liked them.

  • @xcatreyux Yeah another one of the reasons is they don't hype fights anymore. The UFC makes sure their fighters hate each other and constantly talk shit about each other that's what makes the fights seem more like a real fight rather than a sport event. In boxing the only big rivalry was between Klitschko and Haye because Haye kept talking shit but then they fight, he gets his mouth shut and at the press conference they were exchanging jokes and shit.

  • @xcatreyux UFC your being pretty ignorant lol, MMA isn't too popular in Europe because K1 is the big thing over there.

MMA is pretty big here in Australia and New Zealand though

  • Comment removed

  • @RealDealBoxing13 yeah, aside from punching, kicking, knees, elbows, submission techniques (which James Toney was hilarious to watch tap out to, by tap out I mean shake and convulse like a 5 year old girl) and evasive maneuvers, MMA guys can only hump. Sparred pro MMA fighters huh? ok, who?

  • @RealDealBoxing13 i agree with u till i c rey mercer vs kimbo match!

  • @RealDealBoxing13 lol no account

  • @RealDealBoxing13 Look i love both boxing and MMA and feel all this talk about one being better than the other is stupid. MMA is definitely a sport, a very demanding one at that. If you sparred with a fighter and a boxer, obviously a boxer has better competition in the standup cause their hands is all they need to train. MMA fighters however need to be more skilled and well rounded in other areas. You obviously dont know anything about MMA if you think theyre just "humping' each other

  • @RealDealBoxing13 really and what were the names of those pro MMA fighters u sparred with? and was it sparring boxing or kickboxing?? just curious

  • @RealDealBoxing13 big difference. you can outbox me.

    i can out EVERYTHING you.

but still much respect to boxing. combat is combat.

  • @RealDealBoxing13 i have no disrespect toward boxing but someone like you who thinks mma consists of humping has obviously never tried it before. you can hate on it all you want until you get choked the fuck out or submitted or kneed in the nose. then we'll see what you have to say.

  • Too bad james is lazy if he really lost that weight he would be very very dangerous. he loves his food too much.

  • james toney training is a rare sight

  • Ya see Toney dancin to that Tony Yayo, G unit 4 life, everybody got a lil G in them.

  • no one cares about mma but country ass white boys no worries it'll be some young black dude thatll take over mma too lmao too bad

  • @YusufSmith1974 funny thing is latinos and brazilians dominate mma retard

  • @ageeeeeeeeee NO REPHRASE A COUPLE LATINOS

  • james toney is one of the best boxers of all time

  • @welovemarines23

    hahaha no..

  • @403766, James Toney is a beast no matter what ya say.

  • @CrossoverBeast

A beat yes, 1 of the greatets boxers? NO

  • @403766 James Toney is a beast no matter what ya say.

  • we r u guys talking street fighting and MMA? THIS IS A BOXING VIDEO, lets talk BOXING

  • @reno573 thank you. i love mma, but when i watch boxing, i want to talk boxing

  • totally agree!!

  • Traumatic Brain Injury - ESPN Outside the Lines

Its the first video, with James Toney in the picture

  • He moves a bit like Sam Langford. Toney is a bit underrated, hes really sharp and tricky, I just think if he had been serious in the pat, he would have capitalized far more. I think the man needs to retire, his body has taken some considerable damage, and his speech has deteriorated. He was in a Interview with him talking about having nearly no Testosterone in his system, and brain damage.

  • @aky19832001 wheres that interview?

  • Toney is the man

  • I hope Toney gets a rematch with couture. So he can knock couture's silly-head off.

  • @BarryTheBread

lol you're nothing more than a complete retard in denial, keep dreaming.

  • very good boxer.

  • James Toney should shut his mouth about Roy Jones Jr. He is nothing compared to Roy Jones Jr. Put your hands up fool! You can do some fancy dodging, but it won't help in a real fight.

  • @dejakhalz are you kidding? his ''fancy dodging'' does work in fights. And if roy and james fought now. James woud win. Roy has no chin, hes gun shy. James is technically way more sound than roy. Roy was known for his speed and his athletisism. You should know what you are saying before you say things.

  • @dejakhalz are you kidding? his ''fancy dodging'' does work in fights. And if roy and james fought now. James woud win. Roy has no chin, hes gun shy. James is technically way more sound than roy. Roy was known for his speed and his athletisism. You should know what you are saying before you say things. hes 72-6.

  • @mmajunkie250

Works extremely well in boxing, not in a real fight. Randy Coture just proved that a few months back.

  • @LegacyHernandez lmao RANDY COTURE JUST PROVED HOW MUCH ONE DIMENSIONAL MMA IS!! mma is a bunch of wrestlers slapping each other with weak ass strikes. REAL TALK.. MATTER OF FACT ANY REAL STREET FIGHTER WILL TELL YOU TO NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND IN FIGHT CAUSE YOU CANT MOVE ON THE GROUND YOU CAN GET STUCK OR JUMPED ON THE GROUND WHERE CAN YOU GO!!. WAKE UP FAN BOY!!

  • @PharaohII

Over 50% of, "Street fights", end up on the ground, "Real talk." Of course being on the floor can be dangerous because of some of the things you just mentioned, obviously, it can be dangerous if your unaware of grappling intricacies, so proved Randy Coture. If you call mixed martial arts, " One Dimensional", then what would you call boxing?? I am very awake and aware, and I have been a fan and competitor of combative sports for over a decade. Ignorance isint an excuse.

  • @LegacyHernandez yes over 50 percent of street fights end up on the ground with 5 dudes standing kicking the shit out of you while your completely helpless and your BJJ does nothing. Its usefull against 1 attacker, how often does that happen? Boxing is just as usefull.

  • @neonblack88 lets not over exaggerate the whole "street fight" thing like people seem to constantly do. how often does a one on one fight happen? ive seen someone get jumped once my whole life over a drug deal gone bad. unless you grew up in the hood or on a native reserve chances of you getting jumped by a bunch of goons is pretty slim. ive seen countless of your typical 1 on 1 fights that could have been done alot faster had one of the guys had any knowledge of submissions or basic boxing

  • @KOCowboy1991 what's do you mean native reserve?

  • @neonblack88

    .......

Boxing is as useful as any other aspects and elements of fighting.

  • @PharaohII lol any "real" street fighter. what are you 13? yeah im sure a "real street fighter" is going to wipe the floor with a trained professional fighter. kimbo slice really proved that

  • @KOCowboy1991 listen here FAN BOY kimbo came to UFC and lost one fight by a lucky punch. After that was " NEVER " DOMINATED. only reason why he lost was due to LOW STAMINA.. WAKE UP FAN BOYS!!!! you fucking wrestlers are GARBAGE!!

  • @LegacyHernandez what did that fight prove about slipping punches? all couture did was take him down and pound him out. had they attempted to trade you would have seen it get used, slipping punches doesnt work to block takedowns. fucking stupid thing for you to say. but couture was smart and didnt take the chance of standing with him. slipping, blocking, parrying, etc DOES WORK you stupid fan. even mma fighters train that, theyre just terrible at it because theres too much to master

  • Comment removed

  • @KOCowboy1991

Go back and re-read my previous statement before you spew more nonsense kid.

  • @KOCowboy1991 well, couture could not damage toney on the ground because he was slipping all the significant blows, one thing a boxer does 10,000 times better than an MMA fighter

  • What the holy shit is this mong saying?

  • Trash talking as been in boxing for so loong people just have to get used to it.

  • "dont matter how you start, its how you finish"

    -JT

  • Dam James Toney lookin mad fly in those glasses.

  • Its not about how you start its how you finish. The realist shit I heard in years.

  • great head movement

  • James Toney is like a Floyd Mayweather Jr. with balls.

  • @TylerDurdenK7 James Toney is a can

  • @TylerDurdenK7 good assesment of james toney

  • off the ropes hes the best

  • Sometimes I wonder what James Toney says.

  • I always have my students watch James Toney, and study guys like Willie Pep also

  • @hoboboxerjoe james toney defense sucks. looks like he takes lot of shots to the head

  • @lordofkronos Yeah. Heavyweight Toney really isn't great at all, outside of his Holyfield fight. Only reason he's found some success there is because he talks a lot of shit (marketable) and his opponents tend to be slower and not too big and powerful. He hasn't been elite since 168lbs honestly. Everything above that is subpar except for the Jirov and Holyfield fights. I'm a big fan of his, but he should definitely retire now. His conditioning and reflexes have been garbage, since the Ruiz fight.

  • @jettatum he is like boxing's chuck liddel. i hope he keeps fightin though. i enjoy his trash talk and seein him gettin his ass kicked. i just hope the commission gives him a license after that pitiful performance against randy

  • @lordofkronos God, I hope he doesn't continue MMA. I'm not against him continuing his boxing career as long as he and the broadcasters accept that he's done on the top level. He can toil in obscurity to his hearts content and let the prospects, contenders, and champions get the spotlight.

  • @jettatum i wana see toney vs tyson. how awesome wud that be. 2 washed has bins going at it.

  • @lordofkronos Haha. I actually wanted to see that fight before Tyson got KOd by Danny Williams. Toney was calling him out after he beat Holyfield. Probably would've happened if Tyson wouldn't have gotten KOd into retirement.

  • @jettatum Well supposedly no one wants to fight Toney in boxing.

  • @POTATER1228 I don't blame them. The payout isn't worth it for the top dogs and for everyone else, it isn't worth the risk of getting robbed in a decision against a fighter who wouldn't advance your heavyweight ranking, even if you won (see the first Hasim Rahman fight and the Fres Oquendo fight for examples).

  • @jettatum Yeah, I hate boxing politics. But I guess Toney really is a high-risk low reward figher for Haye and the Klitchskos

  • @POTATER1228 Most definitely. Haye and the Kbros are better served focusing on fighting each other. The fans are better served that way too.

  • @jettatum Yeah. I just find it sad that boxers today are avoided because they're TOO good. Mike McCallum, Winky Right, Paul Williams, and James Toney. all are top contenders and are screwed by bad management and politics. So MANY good fights have DIED because of this. And these caliber fighters deserve to be able to get the big show

  • @POTATER1228 How about this...I just found out Toney got paid 500k in that 3min loss to Randy. How's that for money making moves. And get this, Randy only made half that. Left me speechless.

  • @jettatum Thats my point. toney shouldn't HAVE to resort to this. He deserves cash in the pugilist sport. I also feel bad that Coture gets cheated out of cash that he deserved. Its unfair for all parties involved

  • @POTATER1228 I agree. But I gotta say that Toney kinda screwed himself in the boxing arena: he tested positive for illegal steroids after winning the heavyweight title vs ruiz, so he lost the belt and got suspended. Consistently came in to fights out of shape, tested positive again, got suspended again. Now he's gotta get paid in UFC. So yeah, he pretty much had the boxing world handed to him on a silver platter after 2003 and he chose to flush it down the toilet.

  • @jettatum Point, hie reputation took a harsh blow after that. Its like a Greek Tragedy, sseing these guys with a lot of potential screwwed over by their own hubris or by other's doing.

  • All the years of training will be irrelevant when randy picks him up and drops him on his ass.

  • @clairishe

wait a minute, you skipped to the part where Randy has grabbed him and over the part where Randy tries to make contact.

  • lol....I hope Randy tries to "dirty box" James Toney when they fight. :p

  • @shanesdaddy82 no one will fight him, no big names anyway.

  • those gloves are fucken hugee haha what are those things

  • @gino26gman its called sparring gloves, not made to hurt...

  • toney was robbed in this fight

  • james toney has a killa headmovment i like the style !
