  • Had a 10 footer in the late 70s. The bow was covered in aircraft linen.

  • was thinking of building one of these altho i was thinking of useing a jetski engine whats your oppinion lol ...

  • It would be a "Redneck Jet Ski", I love it, You would have 3 or 4 times the power and close to the same weight. If you need any help, click on my user name to find me.

  • yea supermoto just reminded me of that

  • This looks similar to a homebuilt project from Popular Mechanics 1968 Encyclopedia

  • i was looking at a boat and a person comes up and says to the owner wow 110 horsepower on such a small boat it was 110 ccs

  • lol.. 110cc

  • I've been looking for plans to build a 3 point hydro. Did you get plans off the internet to build yours or did you buy a kit? Can you give me a website if you found plans please, thanks.

  • this was one that my buddys dad built in the 70's. You can get plans for less then $10 from ebay

  • @pcbeachdiver looks like "Glen L" boat plans.

  • @benzo430 yes a glen L tiny titian

  • @pcbeachdiver you should also check out popularmechanics. com and search, "Saucy Shingle," you can get free plans there

  • that looks like the Tiny Titan, great little boat design, build one myself years ago. Think I'm gonna pull it out after seeing this, lol.

  • Since that video my buddy got a 1960's 20hp mercury hurricane and the thing hauls. In the vid it prolly did 25, now its doing 40+ and scares the shit outta ya. New video coming in the summer

  • I have heard the Hurricane and Lightning outboards were phenomenol. It just seems from my finding, the newer (non Kiekhefer) outboards just don't run the same. I would love to get my hands on one of those old timers.

  • if thats home made then its pretty inpresive !

  • woodenboat magazine has kits for sale, real 3-point hydroplanes, they'll take up to a 40hp outboard motor, deadman's throttle and all that. That would be scary fast..

  • hi is that a 10 hp or a 100 hp because it sais 100 but its too small

  • Its a honda 100 in the video, which is a 10Hp.

  • 8' hydros will take up to 20-25 HP and FLY!!! Try and use a deadman's throttle and a stering wheel so you can keep all your weight over the bow ..it will plane better and corner as well...Goodluck. Put a vintage motor on it if you can ...looks cool but in the end what you want!

  • My dad and I are going to build one of those but our plans aren't the best. Where did you get your plans from?

  • nice hydro im trading this guy for one and im giving him a rc electric car for one has red racing stripes and white body. i dont know toooo much about them any advice i need on what kind of engine size do i need

  • if its like a small class c hydro anything bigger than a 25 should push it pretty nicely

  • hi you can get them from ebay for £5.63 or $9.95
