@antisocialfatman its AMAZING. probably the best humblebundle so far...then again ive only got the last 2 lol but trine is like lost viking remake, the shadowgrounds survivor is awesome, although the first one isnt all that great(i hated the fixed camera angle...kidna nauseating haha) and i cant believe they didnt finish jack claw cuz that coulda been the greatest indie game release since super meat boy and minecraft

It seemed like a lot of just standing in a doorway and pressing fire. One nice thing, Steam offers Alien Shooter and Zombie Shooter for $5 each. I'm considering those anyway since the low system requirements will probably let them run on my laptop.

Just bought the 5$ Zombie Shooter I per your suggestion ... OMFG I'm hooked! DYNAMITE .... I thought it would feel dated (or limited) when I first loaded it up but this is stellar... so much so that I can't wait to finish it AND PLAY MORE OF THE SAME!

I have Alien Shooter (and the "reloaded" one that came free) and from what I see in this game, it looks like the main difference is the enemies, because I noticed almost no gigantic dinosaur monsters firing 300 rockets at you.

You talk about pretty much everything in the game, but do so at a solid pace so the video never felt slow or boring

I can't say for sure, having not played Zombie Shooter 2, but Alien Shooter 2, but assuming that the weapon system is somewhat identical, there is a way to keep your shotty a viable option in the end game. And that way is using the stats.

Upgrading your weapon stat increases the damage done by that paticular kind of weapon and in AS2 I once had a setup where I was mainly using a fully automatic shotgun to take out anything big, reserving the rocket minigun for the cannon fodder swarms.

What do you mean by 'weapon stat'? I haven't seen any way to upgrade weapons in ZS2.

In ZS1 you just click on a weapon at the set-up screen to upgrade it, but there doesn't appear to be anything like that in ZS2.

As said, I haven't played Zombie Shooter 2, only Alien Shooter 2. And in that game, you had a stat for each weapon type in the game that you could upgrade for higher damage and maybe some other things as well.

I guess they didn't port that system to the ZS2 directly, but dropped some parts of it instead.

@DJPirtu I think only Alien Shooter 2 or Vengence do that. Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded dropped the requirements to level up for specific weapon types. It was listed as an improvement.

Another excellent review, fatman. Alien Shooter 1 & 2 were very therapeutic for me, though I could never become engrossed in this game; it just seems too similar to it's predecessors.

I'd quite like an isometric L4D game with controls like Zombie Shooter. Or maybe a Killing Floor style would be better suited.
