The engine has never been rebuilt, it's never given him trouble and when he brought it in for routine maintenance they said it was just broken in. Still gets 32 mpg, If Nissans are such crap then tell me why they last for so long huh? I'd rather have a Nissan than a crappy Toyota or any other car one that lasts.

I tried this last weekend with my car. It ran out of fuel after about 2 hours but no destruction happend @ all. Maybe u should have used better motor oil? Maybe there was not enough water in the radiator? Anyway, it is not supposed 2 happen 2 modern engines, they are build 2 survive full throttle - this is necessary on German autobahn. Today I drove 250 km/h, imagine such n engine failure @ that speed! No, this is really not supposed 2 happen. U should ask 4 warranty & get your money back.

I would assume full throttle means accelerator on the floor as hard as it will go, and as the E15 motor in this N12 would have had no rev limiter or knock sensor, it would have been revving at about 9000rpm for those 2 minutes...it redlines at 6500. I think any engine subjected to that would have died in similar fashion.

Imagine revving your Vette or Mustang to 2500rpm above its redline for 2 minutes.
